Multikulturní vzdělávání na středních školách

In this work, the topic of multicultural education in secondary schools and its relationship to the process of integration of students from foreign countries is discussed in detail. Emphasis will be placed on how educational processes and activities can be adapted to the needs of students of different cultures and how the level of understanding and tolerance between students can be increased. Another key question described here is the characteristics of personalities that contribute to the successful process of integration between students of different cultures and how these characteristics can be developed. Furthermore, the work reflects what the possibilities and limits are for the development of integration skills and how these skills can be developed through educational activities and programs. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of the work deals with legislation, language and cultural differences. Discusses the issue of the increase in the number of foreign students in schools, the conditions for their admission to secondary schools and the subsequent teaching process. The aim of the practical part was to find out, with the help of the data obtained from the questionnaire survey, how pupils see the relation-ships between themselves and pupils-foreigners and, conversely, how foreigners perceive other pupils. The effort was to find out how integration and/or inclusion is realized in practice in the current high school.
Yellowhammer dialects and citizen science

Bird dialects, the cultural phenomena that can be linked to migration, gene flow, speciation and cultural evolution, have been studied extensively. The yellowhammer Emberiza citrinella, a common European bird with a simple song and long singing season, has been a model species for studying dialects for decades. In this thesis, I collate several studies that benefited from citizen science approaches to push this field forward. First, we have compiled and unified information on yellowhammer dialect distribution scattered in numerous publications, and unified different dialect nomenclatures used in the past. We supplemented this with data available thanks to volunteers contributing to public databases and other online sources, and demonstrated that the continental distribution patterns of yellowhammer dialects do not support the existence of broad, geographically distinct macrodialect groups as previously believed. In 2011, as part of the Bird of the Year campaign of the Czech Society of Ornithology, we launched a year-long public awareness project "Dialects of Czech Yellowhammers". Pronunciation Features of Czech Language - Dialect Analysis

We implemented Výrče:SW, a tool for collecting and analysing audio recordings without the necessity of supervisor's assistance. The tool allows creating a wide range of recording scenarios, including the possibility to analyse the recordings and show the results. Using the created tool, we collected Výrče:Korpus, a read audio corpus of 34 speakers and 2376 utterances of 7 hours in length. The corpus also includes questionnaires that provide information about the dialect reliability of speakers. Sufficient amounts of speakers for dialect analysis are from the Central Bohemian dialect area and Silesian dialect area. Yellowhammer as a model species for studies on passerine dialects

Even though birdsongs and bird dialects have been subject to considerably intense scientific research, the domain of bird dialects is still worth attention of scientists. There is a large number of hypotheses about the emergence of bird dialects which separately or combined explain their origin. Dialects can be classified on the basis of the structure of a birdsong which they are related to or according to a geographical scale (micro and macrodialects). Research on bird dialects belongs to such type of studies that require great amount of data and thus large amount of time and finance is needed. Nonetheless, this obstacle can be avoided by involving general public into the research, however choosing a suitable model species is necessary. Yellowhammer (Emberiza citrinella), which was chosen in this study, is undoubtedly a convenient species for its common occurrence and distinguishable birdsong. Yellowhammer males sing during a large part of the season and their dialects can be easily recognized. Regional languages in the French educational system

Beginning section of this thesis named Regional languages in the French education system is focused on a terminology concerning regional languages. Further content is focused on the history of languages in France since the Roman campaign on Gaul territory and the latinization of this region until the democratization of regional languages towards regular French. An important role in French education system development was played by education laws that are thoroughtly discussed in text of this thesis. The current distribution of regional languages in France and teaching of these languages in French schools is described in the next part of the thesis. This part is primarily focused on the four regional languages: Basque, Breton, Catalan and Occitan. Laws that permited the education of regional languages in France and faciliated the foundation of institutions intended to support these regional languages are also covered within this section. The research of today's state of Occitan in everyday life of Nîmes residents is covered in final part of this thesis. Occitan was chosen as the representative model of regional language. Region called Hanakia or the Haná region (Central Moravia) is characterized by flour dishes. Some dishes were prepared during the cultural festivals or folk customs, some were consumed daily. The article focuses on this phenomenon of traditional Hanakian cuisine. It selectively analyzes the dialectal names of dishes, especially in terms of their forming, origin and semantic motivation.\n
Pupils' morphological competence at the first stage of primary school

This final thesis works with the topic of standard Czech language at the 1st level of primary schools. The theoretical part deals with the units of the Czech national language, standard Czech language and its development, current phenomenons in contemporary Czech, common Czech language, Czech dialects and sociolects. Furthermore, it briefly describes the development of teaching of standard Czech language at schools and other possibilities of teachers. It also analyzes particular morphological aspects of individual morphological changes subsequently examined in the practical part. The empirical part is a quantitative analysis and comparison of the ability of pupils of the first grade of selected schools in the Central Bohemian Region to identify the non-standard expressions and replace them with the correct standard forms. The work partly verifies the selected hypotheses and compares the results primarily with the results of similar research carried out at the 2nd level of primary schools.
Processing dialect vocabulary in national dictionary

The Dictionary of Czech Dialects has been processed in the Department of Dialectology of the Czech Language Institute of the CAS since 2011. As the first work of its kind in the Czech area, this dictionary deals with the vocabulary of all dialects of the Czech national language. The dictionary entries (beginning with A–Č) are accessible on the webpage https://sncj.ujc.cas.cz/. The material basis is formed by the Archive of Folk Speech, established in 1952, which contains a rich dialect material. By means of references, the dictionary is interconnected with monolingual dictionaries of Standard Czech, with the Czech Linguistic Atlas, the Dictionary of Moravian and Silesian Anoikonyms, and the Dictionary of Bohemian Anoikonyms.
