The issue of professional competences of activation workers in homes for the elderly

The submitted dissertation deals with the issue of activation of seniors, or by analyzing and identifying the competences of activation workers of homes for the elderly. The goal of the work is to define the framework of educational and qualification requirements for an activation worker in homes for the elderly, when this worker is a fundamental employee influencing the sense of security, social involvement and quality of life of the elderly. The research was carried out in the form of qualitative research, based on grounded theory, using structured interviews with activation workers and senior staff of homes for the elderly in the Ústí Region. The topic of activation of seniors is current and socially significant, therefore it is necessary to pay professional attention to workers implementing activation programs and activities. Educational sciences, especially andragogy and gerontagogy, can be included among the key theoretical starting points. This diploma thesis focuses on the professional development of HR Officers in a selected organization. The main goal is to find out and describe the approach of HR Officers in the selected organization to their own professional development. The presented work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, areas and terms related to the researched issue are defined. The first chapter deals with the field of personnel studies. Specifically, it is dedicated to HR Officers, their roles, HR activities, competencies and opportunities for further professional education. The second chapter focuses on the area of employee education and development. It deals with corporate education, systematic education, methods of education and development, and motivation and barriers in the further education of adults. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the description of the methodology of the research investigation. The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the career path and the survey of the opinions of primary school teachers on the introduction of career regulations. In the theoretical part, it defines pedagogical practice, further education, and professional development of pedagogical workers and the career growth of teachers. The main objective of the empirical part was to describe the opinion of pedagogical workers on the introduction of the proposed career order and to identify the current social influences that influence pedagogical workers when implementing the career order in practice. The secondary objectives were to describe how the professional career of a primary school teacher proceeds and to identify differences in the professional career of teachers in the context of their experience and age. The research investigation was based on a qualitative approach and a semi-structured interview method was used to collect data. The diploma thesis deals with the issue of further professional education and the system of corporate education. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part, the basic terms associated with the concept of lifelong learning are defined, with an emphasis on terminology related to further professional education, employee development, human capital and career management. One of the chapters is devoted to the setting of the company education system and education strategies. In the empirical part, the identification of educational needs and the analysis of the system of corporate education of call center employees were carried out. The research was carried out at the XY publishing house in Prague. Based on the obtained data, a competence model of call center workers was designed and subsequently implemented into the employee education strategy. The theoretical part focuses on the characteristics of the objectives and mission of the municipal police, its specifics in terms of development and further professional education of employees. The thesis deals with the issue of performance management in relation to the evaluation and remuneration of employees. Performance management (performance management) is the process of ensuring that a set of work activities and outputs effectively meet the stated strategic objectives of an organisation. In this paper, the factors that influence work climate, employee motivation and performance were analyzed and identified. In the theoretical part, the background in the field of personnel activities, human capital, human resource management, professional competencies and work performance of selected groups of employees was elaborated. Emphasis was placed on defining models of employee evaluation and remuneration. Individual criteria are linked in company practice with analytical job evaluation and then compared with formal evaluation of employee performance over a certain period. On the basis of the theoretical foundations thus defined, the second part of the thesis was developed - empirical.
