Marketing Mix of Hotel Maximus Resort

The aim of this study is marketing mix of hotel Maximus Resort. Theoretical part contains definitons of marketing, marketing mix and communication mix. In the practical part I present the hotel Maximus Resort in global and his problems with the guest occupancy. My vision is to create an offer package which would be attracted for new guests and also the reason for the guests to come back. I wont to pay attention to the famillies with small children – specially animation programs in the hotel, which are not widly extended in the Czech republic and that is also one of the reasons why many famillies prefer vacancy in abroad.
Marketing Communication of a Real Estate Agency

The diploma thesis deals with analysis of marketing communication. The theoretical part presents basic marketing and marketing communication terms. The practical part contains basic information on the reality estate office Lotos Reality. Next, it analyses the marketing communication of this specific company. By the means of questionnaire survey the proposals to improve the marketing communication were worked out and they are summarized in the conclusion
Strategic Management of E-commerce Company

The main goal of this diploma thesis is to design appropriate strategies to increase the marketing efficiency of dating tours via the website of the CA Pele Ltd. company. The theoretical part deals with the very definition of e-commerce and internet marketing. In the analytical part, I describe the marketing mix of the company and analyze the competition such as travel and dating agencies. Based on these findings, I propose appropriate solutions for e-commerce and adequate internet advertising.
Football metaphors in Czech and French media and the question of their translation

This master thesis deals with the metaphor in the Czech and French media that write about football. It analyses the text corpus which is a compilation of articles and reportages taken from Czech and French newspapers and the internet. Based on the comparison of the parallel samples drawn from the excerpted material, the question of translating the figurative sense is put in the light of the cognitive linguistics which considers the metaphor as a tool for conceptualizing the world. The first part is devoted to the explanation of a theoretical background and thus it integrates the discussed issue in a broader context. The principle of the journalistic functional style with its features and its typical phraseology, including figurative expressions, is presented. Subsequently, the metaphor is treated in the diachronic perspective and then the problem of the metaphor is outlined in the framework of translation studies. In the second part of the work, the main areas from which the football metaphors draw are defined. The analysis of the excerpted material focuses on the comparison of the cases of figurative sense traced in the texts. Willingness to pay for e-books in the Czech Republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explain willingness to pay for electronic books in the Czech Republic. Data were collected via online questionnaire. Using the logit model, following variables were identified to have significant influence on probability of buying an e-book. These variables are ownership of an e-book, online shopping, membership in the library, buying printed books, physical appearance of book and thinking about e-books as electronic documents which should be for free. Moreover, in case of printed book's price equals 270 CZK, respondents are willing to pay 132 CZK in average for an electronic version of the same title. The impact of the EU ETS in the Czech Republic

This thesis examines the environmental effect of the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) in the Czech Republic. Specifically, the impact of the EU ETS on CO2 emissions, carbon-fuel intensity and carbon intensity of production (measured by revenues) is analysed on installation-level financial, environmental and energy data throughout all three phases of the EU ETS over 2005 - 2019. The difference-in-differences approach with propensity score matching is used to infer the causal effect of the regulation. We find no effect of the EU ETS on carbon emissions and carbon intensities in the Czech Republic. This finding holds for various model specifications and different approaches we utilised. In the end, we discuss possible reasons why the EU ETS might not lead to any significant effect in the Czech Republic. Two writers and one town (Alois Vojtěch Šmilovský, Alois Jirásek a Litomyšl)

Résumé In my diploma work, I tried to compare there the relation of Alois Jirásek and Alois Vojtěch Šmilovský to the city Litomyšl in which both lived, taught and wrote their books and to show the reflection of the small-town atmosphere of Litomyšl in their works. I worked with all sorts of historical documents, sources of information and literature which told aboud this town or these two authors. During the study 1 visited the Regional Museum in Litomyšl where I could see the extant personal corespondence of Jirásek and Šmilovský from which we could best read what their realation to the city and the citizens was. I could also read other historical documents in the District Archive in Litomyšl. But I found much of literature in the City Library in Litomyšl too. I also worked with books of Alois Jirásek and Alois Vojtěch Šmilovský, mostly with these which were written in Litomyšl or in which these authors wrote about the small-town atmosphere of Litomyšl. At the close of my diploma work I proposed a project in which the information gained during the writing my work could be used. I realized this project with pupils of the eight class of the primary school Proseč, district Chrudim.
