Diagnosing morally defective youth and correction behavioral disorders in the Czech Lands at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the development of diagnostics of morally defective youth used at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries in correctional institutions. The diagnosis of morally defective youth was closely related to the issue of correction and re-education of these persons. The very consequences of behavioral disorders have always had a serious impact on socielity itself. By establishing correctional facilities and the subsequent diagnosis of the inmates, the compeny accepted responsibility for the re-education of these persons. The diploma thesis has a comparative character with the aim of identifyng common or, on the contrary, different features in the diagnosis of youth. The theoretical part defines diagnostics in etopedic practice as we know it today. The classifications of behavioral disorders used today and at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries are described here. Applying Functional Behavioral Assessment at Kindergarten for Children with Communication Disorder

The diploma thesis is specially pedagogical and deals with the possibilities of applying functional behavioral assessment at kindergarten for children with communication disorder. The theoretical part describes the given issue of communication disorder and the development of the child's social-emotional skills. The theoretical part also describes the problem behavior and the concept of functional behavior assessment. The practical part deals with four case studies of preschool children with repetitive problem behavior. The purpose of the qualitative research is to verify the applying functional behavior assessment at kindergarten for children with communication disorder. The main research question of the diploma thesis is to find the possibilities of using the principles of functional behavioral assessment in the chosen kindergarten for children with communication disorder. The research investigates which the behavior of children considered by the pedagogical staff of the selected kindergarten to be problem behavior. Role of a Special educator Dealing with Behavioral Problems in Working with Clients of the Educational Care Centre

The diploma thesis deals with the role of a special education teacher - etopedist at an Educational Care Centre. Based on literary research in the theoretical part and research in the practical part, thesis wants to point out the irreplaceability of this role in a preventive educational center, which with its activities has a positive effect on clients with risky and problematic behavior or with behavioral disorders. The focus of the etopedist's work is cooperation with the client's family and strengthening their competences in education. The theoretical part describes the activity of the Educational Care Center, its clientele with negative behavioral manifestations and the professional competence of the etopedist as an employee of the Educational Care Center. The work specifies several types of negative manifestations of behavior and their causes. The research based on the set goal and research questions, analyzes the role of the ethopaedist in a Center by processing the data that was gained by the implementation of two phases of the own research. Examination of professional characteristics of workers of social and legal protection of children The diploma thesis is devoted to the examination of professional characteristics of social and legal protection of children. The theoretical part deals with areas related to the chosen focus. In particular, these are questions concerning the general concept of personality, which represents the summary, connection or interconnection of character, temperament, abilities and constitutional characteristics of a person. An important chapter is also a theoretical description of the basis of the used standardized questionnaire survey, focused on the area and diagnostics of professional characteristics crucial for success in employment. The last topic deals with the issue of social and legal protection of children, the definition of an endangered child and the personal and professional preconditions of a social worker.
