Design of the central housing for very low turbocharger support - sideways oil output
Slovák, Jan ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Knotek, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis is about lowering installation height of turbocharger without significant increase of the oil pressure inside the housing at the piston rings. At the beginning of the thesis is research about supercharging and turbocharging, construction and parts that are placed inside a turbocharger. Next chapter is short brief about CFD. Further chapters are about design and changes at the central housing and about simulations. From simulations were the results obtained.
Present Trends is Power Increasing of CI and SI Engines
Slovák, Jan ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is only the search character. In this thesis are described different types of engines, also are discussed the most common types of supercharging engines – by compressor and turbocharger. Along with them are showed less known methods of supercharging. At next chapter, thesis describes another possible methods of increasing of engine power like chiptuning etc. Last chapter is about near future and describes for example engine downsizing and hybrid cars.
The influence of social networks on the mental health of generation Z
Slovák, Jan ; Jirků, Jan (advisor) ; Vochocová, Lenka (referee)
The aim of this master's thesis is to know and better understand the experience of generation Z representatives with the use of social networking sites and smartphones, and to identify what role this experience plays in their subsequent further use. Data collection took place using a qualitative methodology in the form of semi-structured interviews. 14 representatives of Generation Z aged 19 to 24 took part in the research. Data collection was terminated when theoretical saturation was reached. Data analysis was performed using open coding followed by categorization. Within the data analysis, six main categories were identified: perception of the social networking sites environment, social networking sites, perception of the influence of social networking sites, smartphone, perception of the influence of a smartphone, and attitude towards influence. Representatives of Generation Z described their experience of using social networking sites and smartphones and identified their functions in everyday life. In the field of mental health, they confirmed the influence of social comparison, FOMO, phubbing, as well as the perception of addiction and abstinence.
Symmetries of the CR sub-Laplacian
Vlasáková, Zuzana ; Souček, Vladimír (advisor) ; Slovák, Jan (referee) ; Šilhan, Josef (referee)
Title: Symmetries of the CR sub-Laplacian Author: Zuzana Vlasáková Department: Charles University Institute of Mathematics Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Vladimír Souček, DrSc. Author's e-mail address: zuzana.kasarova@email.cz Supervisor's e-mail address: soucek@karlin.mff.cuni.cz Abstract: The aim of this work is to characterize the vector space of symme- try operators of the CR sub-Laplacian. To do this, we define a CR structure on some distinguished submanifold of Cn+1 (it is in fact the big cell in the CR sphere) and write down the CR sub-Laplacian on it. We also define the symmetries of the CR sub-Laplacian in general and using the ambient con- struction, which we introduce in the sequel, we construct all of them. Keywords: CR geometry, CR sub-Laplacian, symmetries of differential op- erator. 1
The generalized Dolbeault complexes in Clifford analysis
Salač, Tomáš ; Souček, Vladimír (advisor) ; Lávička, Roman (referee) ; Slovák, Jan (referee)
In the thesis we study particular sequences of invariant differ- ential operators of first and second order which live on homogeneous spaces of a particular type of parabolic geometries. We show that they form a reso- lution of the kernel of the first operator and that they descend to resolutions of overdetermined, constant coefficient, first order systems of PDE's called the k-Dirac operators. This gives uniform description of resolutions of the k-Dirac operator studied in Clifford analysis. We give formula for second order operators which appear in the resolutions. 1
Current Trends in Marketing Communication of Musicians on the Czech rap Market
Slovák, Jan ; Klabíková Rábová, Tereza (advisor) ; Rosenfeldová, Jana (referee)
The connection between the world of music and the world of business is nowadays a current theme. The music industry is not only about mainstream performers and bands, but also about alternative scenes. Marketing plays a major role in this environment, in relationship to brands and social networks and in the individual promotion of music. Hip-hop culture affects the lives of young people around the world. It is not just about topics related to violence and drugs, as this culture was originally represented in the US, but it can also be associated with everyday life in the village, as represented by Opak Dissu Label. The thesis was written from the position of a marketing student and a music producer. The thesis applies these mechanisms on the contemporary Czech rap scene. It presents some notable examples of Czech and Slovak rap artists' marketing communication, which had an effect on their popularity. Furthermore, the thesis analyses linguistic and visual communication of non-traditional rap group Opak Dissu Label on social networks. The analysis was also possible thanks to an interview with members of this group. The thesis is complemented by a detailed list of literature dealing with hip-hop subculture and a list of sources referring to the Czech rap scene.
Invariant differential operators for 1-graded geometries
Tuček, Vít ; Souček, Vladimír (advisor) ; Slovák, Jan (referee) ; Vanžura, Jiří (referee)
In this thesis we classify singular vectors in scalar parabolic Verma modules for those pairs (sl(n, C), p) of complex Lie algebras where the homogeneous space SL(n, C)/P is the Grassmannian of k-planes in Cn . We calculate cohomology of nilpotent radicals with values in certain unitarizable highest weight modules. According to [BH09] these modules have BGG resolutions with weights determined by this cohomology. Such resolutions induce complexes of invariant differential operators on sections of associated bundles over Hermitian symmetric spaces. We describe formal completions of unitarizable highest weight modules that one can use to modify method from [CD01] that constructs sequences of differential operators over any 1-graded (aka almost Hermitian) geometry. We suggest uniform description of octonionic planes that could serve as a basis for better understanding of the exceptional Hermitian symmetric space for group E6.
The Influence of International Organizations on Anglo-Spanish Dispute over Gibraltar
Slovák, Jan ; Váška, Jan (advisor) ; Savin, Jitka (referee)
This bachelor thesis examines the influence of international organizations on the dispute over Gibraltar between the United Kingdom and Spain. The following organizations were selected for the research: UN, NATO and EU. This thesis examines development in this dispute since the 1950s till the beginning of 21st century. About United Nations, the thesis examines negotiations in the Special Committee on Decolonization in the 1960s. About NATO, the thesis studies mostly a topic of the introduction of Spain into NATO and the admission of Spain to military structures of NATO. In the chapter about the European Union, the thesis principally explores the influences of the dispute on European legislation. The thesis does not avoid the aspect of the influence of international organizations on the internal development of Gibraltar. The thesis reached the outcome, that the international organizations influenced the dispute over Gibraltar by mediation and forcing to bilateral negotiations. The UN in its resolutions supported Spain's position, however, it couldn't force the United Kingdom to put the resolutions into practice. NATO and EU influenced the dispute principally indirectly. The EU considered about the dispute mostly in situations, when the dispute influenced the European legislation.
