The design of the multipurpose small water reservoir
Prokop, Pavel ; Hyánková, Eva (referee) ; Doležal, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part covers a classification of small water reservoirs and a necessary documentation for design of water reservoirs. Second part deals with the conceptual design of the small water reservoir in the specific area. This part also include graphic attachments.
Semiotic Engineering and rules for interaction design
Prokop, Pavel ; Brejcha, Jan (advisor) ; Slavíček, Daniel (referee)
Semiotic Engineering is one of semiotic approaches to human-computer interaction problematics. Its theory is based on a simple notion of interface beeing a designers deputy through which the designer comunicates with users of this interface. Telling them, how to work with a program, he or she designed for them. Apart from teoretical foundation, semiotic engineering dispose also with research methods that can be used to evaluate a way an interface communicates with its users. This way it can compare with other non-semitic theories in this branch of research and thanks to its orientation to communication, it is even able to bring new points o wiev. Its theory and methods are used in this thesis as a basis for creation of a set of rules for user interface designers, that shoul serve them as guidelines for their thinking about interface. It turns out that semiotic theory is capable of bringing concerete results for praxis in the area of interaction design and it is not bound only to the academic enviroment.
Analysis of arginine and its methylated derivatives in clinical samples using LC-MS/MS
Prokop, Pavel ; Boušová, Iva (advisor) ; Raisová Stuchlíková, Lucie (referee)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biochemical Sciences Candidate: Bc. Pavel Prokop, DiS. Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. Iva Boušová, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Analysis of arginine and its methylated derivatives in clinical samples using LC-MS/MS Asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA) and its enantiomer, symmetric dimethylarginine (SDMA), are naturally occurring amino acids that are generated intracellularly from L-arginine. ADMA is an endogenous competitive inhibitor of nitric oxide synthase. Increased levels of ADMA and SDMA are associated with endothelial dysfunction, hypertension, cardiovascular and renal diseases. Both compounds are accumulating in chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients. The aim of this diploma thesis was to develop and validate a liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method for the determination of L-arginine, ADMA and SDMA in human plasma. Subsequently, LC-MS/MS method was compared with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and high-performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection (HPLC-FL) method. Chromatographic separation was performed on Dionex UltiMate 3000 UHPLC liquid chromatograph, followed by tandem mass spectrometric detection on amaZon SL mass spectrometer. L-Arginine-13 C6, ADMA-d6 and...

Porovnání tržních cen dřevostaveb dle jednotlivých stavebních systémů
Prokop, Pavel
The diploma thesis provides a comparison of market prices of type family houses of the 50 main suppliers of timber buildings in the Czech Republic. The buildings are divided into the certain categories as per list of manufacturers and suppliers of timber buildings 2017. A comparison is made in a format of charts according to the individual categories related to built-up, floor, residential area and enclosed area. Furthermore, a comparison with JKSO for year 2017 is carried out.
The Economic Costs of Unfinished Highways in the Czech Republic
Prokop, Pavel ; Havránek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Paulus, Michal (referee)
This thesis attempts to introduce between economists overlooked topic of highway effects to a wider audience in the hope of promoting discussion about the efficiency of infrastructure investment. It is also believed to be the first academic writing to question, verify, update and extend the offi- cial Czech guidelines used for highway cost and benefit analyses through a wide literature review, making it useful to road transport experts. The main focus is on the unit prices and quantities estimation of various costs and benefits, whereas the software calculation is not analyzed in such detail. Literature review, centered around the European recommendations and related academic research, a brief description of the cost and benefit evaluation of road infrastructure in the Czech Republic, and proposed changes in time costs, accidents, air pollution, climate change, landscape, biodiversity and time indexation are presented. Abstrakt Tato práce se snaží širšímu publiku představit ekonomy přehlížené téma efektů dálnic a posílit diskuzi o efektivitě investic do infrastruktury.
