Surface approximation using B-spline and T-spline

The bachelor thesis focuses on B-spline representation of surfaces and its generalization Tspline. The work is divided into three main parts. The introduction lays down the theoretical foundations of both surfaces and presents their mathematical properties. The second part deals with the implementation of algorithms in Matlab software. The final part contains the application of the algorithms on real data obtained by 3D scanning and a comparison of both surfaces in terms of utilization.
Student's portfolio as a tool of formative assessment

The diploma thesis has got a theoretical and research character. The theoretical part deals with the school assessment and evaluation methods. Considerable attention is paid to formative assessment, portfolio and work with the assessment. The results of the research are presented in the research section, the research was focused on work with a portfolio in the concept of two different teachers. Part of the research is devoted to presentations of the final portfolio, which will be held at the end of the 5th class. Furthermore, there are interviews with pupils about portfolicontain. Rhythm Meaning in Electronic Dance Music

This Masters thesis is an attempt to analyse the significance of rhythm in electronic dance music. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate whether rhythm can create meaning within electronic dance music, and to analyse its effect on the structure of the genre. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part we will define the theories of music semiotics with regard to the structuralist approach and the traditional approach of CH. S. Peirce. We will describe the ways rhythm can operate and define what the term electronic dance music means. In the second part we will analyze rhythmic structures of individual sub-genres by comparing and contrasting basic elements of the rhythmic pattern.
Current situation and development potential of agritourism in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis examines suitability of the Czech Republic in terms of agritourism development. The theoretical part defines key terms, provides an overview of the current situation in tourism in general and its probable future development, specifies rural tourism and products that belong there. The practical part analyses Czech countryside potential and other factors which influence agritourism development either positively or negatively. The conlusion summarizes agritourism supply in Austria and compares both countries from the point of view of their potential and offer of services.
