Master’s thesis deals with Service Desk application effectiveness assessment and proposal for its modification. This proposal will increase application’s effectiveness of suported processes. New version of application will be adapted to ITIL v3. The proposal for modification is created by adapted models of enterprise architecture. The thesis contains analysis of current version of application, which is an input for proposal of modification.

Bachelor's Thesis deals with utilization of Balanced Scorecard method. The method measures a performance of an organization using financial and nonfinancial measures, which are substantial for increasing performance and efficiency. The thesis contains summary of methods used for evaluation of efficiency of information systems. A description of Balanced Scorecard is included in association with specification and description of application's implementation. The application is used for creating and administrating the strategies of Balanced Scorecard method.
Personality of female offender

Personality of female offender Abstract The aim of this thesis is to provide a certain picture of the female offenders. A significant part of the thesis deals with criminological theories that have tried to find the cause of female criminality. These are primarily biological, psychological and sociological criminological theories, but multidisciplinary and feminist approaches are also considered. Although a number of experts have attempted to explain the origins of female delinquency, none has yet succeeded in answering the question of where female criminality originates. On the contrary, they agree that there is no single universal cause of female criminality. This thesis provides an overview of some of the typologies of female offenders, including female sex offenders, serial killers, and child murderers. By examining the typologies of female offenders that have been developed, we are able to obtain a fairly detailed picture of the characteristics of female offenders, including personality traits and criminal motivations. In order to obtain a comprehensive picture of women as perpetrators of crime, it is also necessary to look at specific manifestations of female criminality. Self-assessment and peer assessment in interpreter self-training

The theoretical-empirical thesis deals with the importance of self-assessment and peer assessment for interpreter self-training. The first part is focused on the theoretical foundations of the thesis. First, the thesis covers the question of interpreting quality, its definition, and the assessment of interpreting in interpreter training. The thesis then presents the expertise theory, both in general and in the field of interpreting studies specifically, and provides recommendations by several theoreticians as to how to apply this theory in interpreter training. The next chapter clarifies certain concepts from learning theory that often appear in literature on interpreting didactics. The theoretical part concludes with a presentation of two types of tools that can be used in interpreter self-training, namely e-learning tools and reflective diaries. The empirical part then analyses data collected in two pieces of research. The first of these is a questionnaire research that aims to map the self-training habits of MA interpreting students at the Institute of Translation Studies, Faculty of Arts, Charles University, and to find out whether the students, while self-training, act in line with the expertise theory. Limits of free speech on social media

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the boundaries of freedom of expression on social media, which represent a significant present-day means of communication. As their social importance increases, so do the undesirable effects such as the spread of fake news and hate speech, presenting a challenge to be tackled. In some countries, certain measures to regulate social networks content have already been adapted. In the first section of the thesis, freedom of expression as a general concept is discussed. Special attention is drawn to its role in a democratic society, while at the same time mentioning its possible limitations. The second part is devoted to social networks as such, namely Facebook and Twitter. First, defining features of digital media in general are described, followed by the policies of individual social networks. The third part is devoted to the issues of personal rights violations, hate speech, pornography, and disinformation - occurrences that maybe in conflict with freedom of expression. These phenomena are observed in connection with the policies of individual social networks as well as the law of the Czech Republic.
