Michalková, Tereza ; Kovács, Radek (advisor) ; Douarin, Elodie (referee) ; Hornát, Jan (referee)
Just in the last 15 years Europe has seen 4 major crises all of which have shown us our man\vulnerabilities. Their effects were and are far-reaching, affecting economies, governance and highlighting the blind spots in education and social fractionality. This is especially true for CEE countries, who are among the newest democracies on the European continent. This thesis provides an overview of behavioural policy tools used in Slovakia to mitigate crisis-induced economic and social challenges through closing the education gap and raising trust in institutions. This analysis concludes that behavioural policy tools including default, affect, salience, priming and others have the potential of being effective in influencing people's attitudes, making crisis management and mitigation more successful. Finally, I conclude that behavioural policy tools can be useful in mitigating adverse effects in the context of future crises.

Determinants of Induced Abortion in Selected European Countries
Michálková, Tereza ; Chytilová, Julie (advisor) ; Chorna, Olena (referee)
The thesis scrutinizes potential impacts of various socio-economic determ- inants on the legally induced abortions in Europe by examining a sample of 15 European countries for the 2007-2017 period. For the panel data re- gression, fixed effects estimation and random effects estimation, both with the Newey-West robust standard errors, are applied and compared with the Hausman test. The significant results generally correspond to the pre- vious studies. Specifically, both crude divorce rate and female unemploy- ment propose a positive impact on abortions and crude birth rate influences abortions negatively. The only exception opposing the previous studies is the female tertiary education that signals substantial negative impact on abortions in the context of European countries. In addition, the thesis in- troduces new economic variables to the topic of abortions (social benefits, GDP growth rate, GDP per capita and political stability index). Nonethe- less, except for the positive effect of GDP per capita on abortions, the other economic variables did not appear to be significant in the preferred models. Keywords Abortion ratio, legally induced abortions, socio-economic determinants, fixed effects, random effects, European countries.

Thesis "Legislation of handling of sources of danger to the environment" Abstract The thesis deals with material sources of danger to the environment in terms of legal forms of environmental protection from negative impact of these sources. The topic was narrowed at the beginning of the thesis to waste and chemicals so now it represents these two huge and significant groups of threats to the environment. The reason to narrow the topic was existence of a very large scale of different sources of environmental danger and that could cause shattering of the topic during writing the thesis. The thesis describes in individual chapters various forms of waste and chemicals handling in mutual relationship with legal obligations of subjects of law. The thesis at the same time attempts to evaluate valid legislation in terms of sufficiency of legal obligations and whether these obligations are clear and specific enough to enable high level of protection of the environment and human health (at least). Czech waste management legislation is massively influenced by directive of European union waste law, so the thesis compares intention of union legislator (if it is available) with the results of czech transposition.
