History of chees in Jičín

This diploma thesis compiles available sources regarding the historical development of chess in Jičín area, and compares it with Czech lands (in different historical eras). At the beginning there is an explanation of chess terms that are necessary for further understanding. In the main body of the thesis there is chronological description of history, which starts with the origins of chess in our region and formation of first sport organizations, as well as regional clubs, and ends with the setting of contemporary competitions and achievements of the club. In the conclusion there is stated information about chess personalities from the Jičín region and significant simultaneous games. Techniques used for the thesis compilation were: the method of historical research, content analysis of information resources and interviews. Title: Czechs and Slovaks in the first season of the second century of NHL Abstract The theme od the thesis are Czechs and Slovaks in the first season of the second century of NHL. The main aim of my work is to analyze the course of the season 2017-2018. In my work I will focus on the Czech and Slovak players and their comparison with players from the other European countries and with USA and Canada ice hockey superpowers. The comparison will be focused on the number of players, Canadian points, players' productivity in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, their average age, and the players' age versus productivity. The origin and the development of canoeing in Nymburk city and Poděbrady city in perspective of the work with the youth

The paper elaborates the history of "LOKOMOTIVA Nymburk" canoe sprint squad and is sectioned into: between wars period the war years 1938 - 1945 1945 - 1970 1970 - 2000 2000 - present The paper also elaborates a general origin of canoeing in Bohemia, brief 80-year history of the nearest competitor (and friend) - "Canoe Sprint Squad Poděbrady" and the history of dragon boats in Nymburk city. The history, the development and the present state of particular categories at "Lokomotiva Nymburk" and "Canoe Sprint Squad Poděbrady" is also elaborated. The main topic of this work will be the origin and progress of the biggest bodybuilding competition on the world Mr. Olympia and associated themes. In this work should be found the main history events of world bodybuilding, important competitors and functionaries. The main goal of the work was the explore and record the early years of the bodybuilding competition Mr. Olympia. Other goals included recording the main characters that are related to evolution of Mr. Olympia and linking the theme with the elementary world history of world bodybuilding. The main method is a historical method. The main topic was elaborated. The structure of the work corresponds to the individual stages of development of the given competition. The work can be used to search for historical facts related to the given issue and should help to better understand the topic. Comparison of Physical Education teaching at foreign schools in Prague

Name of thesis: Comparison of Physical Education teaching at Czech and foreign schools in Prague Author: Barbora Hamáčková Tutor: PhDr, PaedDr. Ladislav Kašpar, Ph.D. Department: Department of Physical education and sport Aim: This dissertation is aimed at Physical Education learning at foreign schools placed in Prague. This is the comparison of contrasting education systems. A literature review has been undertaken to compare the diferences between the Physical Education programs at each institution. The study analyses the evolution of Physical Education in The Czech Republic and abroad. Methodology: The main method used in this thesis was quantitative analysis which consisted of a semi-structured in-depth interview. These interviews conducted with the heads of the physical education at the selected schools. Three international schools and two czech schools were involved in the study. Data collection for the purposes of this diploma thesis took place from January to April 2018 in personal meetings. Schools were contacted with an offical letter via email. The choice of schools was based on an analysis of publicly available documents from the Ministry of Education.
