Test pressurizing equipment for U-pipes

In this bachelor thesis I would like to introduce you to exchangers which use U-tubes and creating a functional pressurizing product. The product has to securely attach the tube and perform the pressure test of the medium. Its control has to be simple and easy. In the thesis I also focused on their constructional solution and possible improvements.

The research was based on the analysis of linguistic material excerpted from the literary works Povídky and Novépovídky by Zdeněk Svěrák and their translations into Chinese. Sociocultural competences and language teaching of Erasmus students

The diploma thesis examines the influence of language teaching on the acquisition of socio- cultural competence through the medium of a questionnaire survey. Based on the interpretation of the data obtained, it provides information about respondents and their relationship to and opinions about the Czech Republic and its inhabitants. The statistical evaluation of this data provides an overview of the level of success in developing socio-cultural competence in selected socio-cultural areas. These are defined with reference to criteria specified at level A1 for Czech as a foreign language in relation to language teaching. The research element is based on theoretical hypotheses that we have presented in the theoretical section of the thesis. The aim of the thesis is to objectively map the development of selected socio-cultural competences by students in the context of language teaching.
Problems of word-order processing in Czech textbooks for Chinese-speaking speakers

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of word order in Czech for Chinese-speaking bohemians, analyzes the mistakes of Chinese bohemians in Czech word order, analyzes the treatment of Czech word order in selected Czech textbooks for foreigners. Thesis is trying to formulate language-didactic recommendations that would lead to an improvement of the current situation. The starting point of the work is, on the one hand, the knowledge that due to the typological and genealogical differences between flexible language Czech and polysynthetic language Chinese, the proper acquisition of the word order of Czech is a considerable problem for Chinese bohemians, and on the other hand, the opinion that there are certain reserves in his linguo-didactic treatment of word order and practice. In the theoretical part, we deal with the basic rules of word order in Czech and look for corresponding rules of word order in Chinese and then compare them. In the practical part, we describe the interpretation of Czech word order in selected Czech language textbooks for Chinese students, analyze and classify mistakes made by Chinese students of Czech, and perform a statistical review. Linguodidactic treatment of selected grammar categories and phenomena for Arabic-speaking Bohemists

This thesis discusses selected difficult grammar categories and phenomena, specifically the case system, aspects and prepositions, in textbooks of Czech as a foreign language from the perspective of Arabic-speaking students of Czech in order to find and formulate an effective methodology and solutions to improve the current situation. Due to the typological and genealogic differences between Czech and Arabic, a proper acquisition of the Czech grammar represents a considerable challenge for Egyptian students of Czech, and the author is convinced that the learning materials (for A1 to B1 levels according to the CEFR) are somewhat lacking as regards the grammatical aspects of the Czech language. The thesis focuses on textbooks employed by the Czech department at the Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. The thesis aims to describe how the aforementioned grammar categories are explained and practiced in the existing textbooks of Czech for foreigners and to suggest specific ways of an innovative approach (an appendix features a newly developed lesson).
Alienation, helplessness and loneliness of a foreigner. Representation of anxious feelings in the prose of Egon Hostovský

This thesis focuses on the work of the Czech writer Egon Hostovský, who spent most of his life in exile. The central theme of his prose was wandering, exile, the desire for anchoring and, above all, a person who was a stranger among people. These existential questions about the foreigner's place in the world are still relevant today. The aim of the thesis is to define the basic characteristics of the most prominent of the anxious feelings appearing in the work of the above mentioned author, i.e. the feeling of alienation, strangeness and loneliness. The area of research are mainly novels Listy z vyhnanství, Cizinec hledá byt, Dobročinný večírek, Všeobecné spiknutí and Tři noci. In these works, the subject of the feeling of alienation, internal and external exile is explored using the method of gradual analysis of the image of the foreigner, the motif of exile and the question of the otherness and difference of the characters. The analysis also focuses on the linguistic side, which in the selected prose provides a remarkable perspective on the presentation of the foreigner, the characteristics of his inner world and his position in the physical world. Analysis of the use of time prepositions based on the Czech learner corpora

The bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of the use of prepositions with temporal meaning by non-native speakers of Czech in written texts. The starting point of the thesis is the observation that the use of prepositions is very difficult for non-native speakers even at a high level of proficiency. In the theoretical part we outline the system of prepositions in contemporary Czech as described in Czech grammars, but also as reflected in theoretical works in the field of teaching prepositions to non-native speakers of Czech. The theoretical works describing methodological difficulties in teaching prepositions in the context of Czech as a foreign language are based on the authors' personal experiences with teaching. Based on the material of the CzeSL and Merlin learner corpora, we analyse the use of prepositions to confirm/disprove the difficulties in their use contained in the theoretical works. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to quantitatively map the use of prepositions by non- native speakers in written works. The issue of acquiring prepositions in teaching Czech to Slavs on the example of Croatian students

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of prepositions in the teaching of Czech to foreigners on the example of Croatian students of Bohemistics. The research on prepositions is somewhat neglected, although it is a complex word class that deserves more attention than it is given in teaching. Our aim was to point out the shortcomings in the presentation of prepositions in teaching materials and to analyse where learners speaking another Slavic language make mistakes. In particular, we are therefore interested in what effect these deficiencies have on students' errors, and to what extent interference errors occur in foreign speakers belonging to a related language group. Comparison of Czech and Chinese science- fictions: Future and Folding Beijing

The bachelor thesis will focus on selected features of two popular science fiction novels, the Czech work Futurum (Future) and the Chinese work 北京折叠 (Folding Beijing). The theme of both novels is the dystopian future taking place in the city. By comparing the two selected literary works from linguistic and cultural aspects, as well as from the perspective of literary studies, the primary goal of the thesis is to characterise the similarities and differences between Czech and Chinese, two typologically and genealogically distinctive languages. Besides, finding out the correspondences and distinctions of the two literary works in terms of literary studies and cultural surveys belong to the secondary goals. The theoretical part of the thesis will serve as the terminological support for the subsequent analysis of these novels, in which the author will discuss the relevant theories of linguistic analysis, including the language styles, the stratification of national languages, the poetic expressions, the characteristics of vocabulary, expressivity, non-equivalent vocabulary and culture. About Children's Literature Translation: A Case Study of Japanese Translation of Edudant a Francimor

Summary: This diploma thesis deals with specific problems of translation of literature for children. It aims to describe the main specifics of the translation intended for children, especially in terms of the use of the language, i.e. lexical resources in the source language and their translation into the target language. After a theoretical processing of the issue of translation, considering the differences between the translation for adult or children's readers, or in general the main characteristics of children's literature in the Czech Republic and Japan, follows a practical analysis of a specific literary work, Edudant and Francimor by Karel Poláček, and its translation into Japanese. In the practical part, this litera work is analyzed by different levels of the source and target text - semantic, syntactic, pragmatic and stylistic. The thesis also examines the issue of translation from a distant language or the issue of bridging cultural differences. The conclusion of the thesis, which summarizes a thorough analysis of the different types of translation solutions illustrated by specific examples and comments on individual examples, whether lexical or pragmatic, etc., should contribute to better translation of children's literature from Czech to Japanese, but also to other distant language.
