Basal stimulation concept in the educational process of rehabilitation classes

My theses deals with the use of basal stimulation concept in the treatment of students with combined disabilities in special elementary schools in Czech Republic. The theoretical part includes literary research concerning basal stimulation concept - its origins, development and theoretical foundations and it describes its specific elements and their use in educational programmes for specialized elementary schools. The practical part concentrates on the quantitative survey research with the goal to map the use of the basal stimulation concept in the specialized elementary schools in Czech Republic to find out which specific elements are in the educational process used the most. Survey research discovered that in the educational process with students with serious combined disabilities the concept of basal stimulation is used by 80% of schools. The somatic, vibrational, auditory and tactile-haptic stimulation are used the most. The specific elements used are - somatic massage, adjustment of the position, use of music and use of tactile perception in motor stimulation of the hand.
Education of students with autism spectrum disorder at school for students with physical disabilities

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of education of pupils with autism spectrum disorders at an elementary school for pupils with physical disabilities. It focuses on the methodological conditions for education that the school offers to pupils with autism spectrum disorders. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The first chapter of the theoretical part describes autism spectrum disorders - from terminology and classification to typical manifestations of this diagnosis. The second chapter is dedicated to education of pupils with autism spectrum disorders, it presents options for their education and support measures. The third chapter of the theoretical part presents teaching methods and interventions for people with autism spectrum disorders. The practical part of the thesis includes a qualitative research survey which was carried out through semi-structured interviews with class teachers of pupils with autism spectrum disorders at the elementary school for pupils with physical disabilities. Safe school - prevention program of preschool childhood injuries

This bachelor thesis is aimed at preventive action against children injuries, which could occur in nursery school. Goal of this bachelor thesis is found out if workers of nursery school are educated in prevention of preschool injuries and if they are capable to provide first aid. Comperation of this knowlage was focused on numery schools in Prague 6. In theoretical part bachelor thesis are described most common preschool injuries happend in nursery school, active and passive primary, secondary prevention childhood injuries, injuries treatment and first aid providing. Practical part is aimed at collection of information from questionaire survey, which was identitified to educationalists in some chosen nursary school in Prague 6. Intimacy of people with disabilities in context of sexual assistance

The bachelor thesis under the name "Intimacy of people with disabilities in the context of sexual assistance" sets the goal of describing the life of people in a wheelchair especially in sexual intimacy and evaluating the applicability of the sexual assistance service and its perspective. In the theoretical part the thesis deals with sexuality and intimate relationships of handicapped people and aims to overcome myths dominating this area. Sexuality of mentally disabled people and those born with a physical handicap is specified. The character of the sexual assistance as a service is described as well as its expansion in the Czech environment, its types and the work of sexual assistants. The difficult aspects of the service itself is dealt with. The institutions working in the field of informing about the issue are also described. In the practical and research part the thesis presents biographies of two handicapped people diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The respondent's view on the issue of sex and relationships of disabled people is based on the interview about his life story. Self-concept of people with limited mobility

The aim of this thesis is to introduce the issue of the self-concept in case of physically disabled people. The theoretical part is dedicated to handicaps and physical disability divided into congenital and gained ones, chronic and movement disabilities. Furthermore, there is the characterization of chosen physical disabilities, disabled person and his position in society. The aim of the practical part is to find out the concept of life, both in case of congenital and gained disability, also the difference between men's and women's perception of the world. The research was done by quantitative questionnaire accessible on Facebook page of Kvadru, o.p.s., supplemented by the interview with Martin Olišar. the founder of Kvadru o.p.s. and disabled himself. The research shows that there is no visible difference in self-concept in case of congenital and gained disabilities. However, there is the difference between men's and women's perception of society's reaction. A comprehensive rehabilitation of pupils with disabilities as a basis for a successful schooling

The thesis is focused on the issue of comprehensive rehabilitation of pupils with physical or multiple disabilities upon entering school. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into three sections. The first section is devoted to the situation of a child with physical and multiple disabilities. The second section covers education and specifics of students with physical and multiple disabilities. The third section is devoted to the concept of comprehensive rehabilitation. I takes into consideration the components of comprehensive rehabilitation for younger school age children. The research part of the thesis addresses the question of whether comprehensive rehabilitation in early schooling is a help or a burden. Data was obtained by questionnaire and structured interview. The interviewed were parents of children with physical and multiple disabilities in the South bohemian region. There were two files made. One consisted of parents of children from a regular Elementary school, the second consisted of parents of children who attend a special Elementary school. Support measures for pupils with communication disorder in inclusive education in elementary school

The thesis deals with effectivity of support programmes in inclusive primary education. In recent years, inclusive education is a frequent topic throughout our society. Providing the support programmes leads to increasing quality of education and ensuring equal conditions. The target group of the thesis consists of pupils with communication disabilities. The thesis aims to gather relevant data about given problems. The main objective is to evaluate the effectivity of support programmes on the pupils with communication disabilities. The partial task is to find out which support programmes are used most often by the primary schools. Quality approach was used to fulfil the objectives mentioned above and semistructured interview as a method of data collection. Interviews with pedagogical workers, who educate pupils with communication disabilities, were broadened and verified by analysing relevant documents. Gathered data were processed into ten case studies. Results of the research are rather positive - they point out meaningfulness, usefulness and regular using of support programmes during lessons. The pupils improve, and so their self-confidence grows accordingly. The research proves using several support programmes at once.
