Březinová, Markéta ; Šoltys, Otakar (advisor) ; Kučera, Štěpán (referee)
Submitted bachelor thesis focuses on the crisis communication in politics and on Grice's maxims applied there. In its theoretical part the thesis analyses the terms crisis and crisis communication. It sets the criteria on which the recognition of crisis is based, as well as it offers theories on how one should create and use arguments in these particular situations. Besides that, the thesis also evaluates general argumentation skills used by politicians during unfavourable times and compare them with principles Paul Grice defined as the base for successful communication. The theoretical part hence furthermore describes Grice's maxims, as well as it monitors Czech politics in selected period and necessary context. Second part of the thesis uses semiotic analysis to examine press conference speeches of selected politicians during the government crisis in March and April 2012 and searches for Grice's maxims used there. It also notices the use of language and the character reflection in their speech. With all that, the thesis fills in the gap in Czech literature focused on effective crisis communication in politics.

The key observed aspect is the sex and age structure, of both the total population and the population of individuals with confirmed COVID-19 infection and also those who have died. The results show that the age and sex structure of the population of confirmed cases has a significant effect on the course and severity of the first wave of the pandemic. Furthermore, a comparison of the differences in the age structure of deaths with COVID-19 and deaths from respiratory diseases before this pandemic is made. A comparison of COVID-19 lethality rates for the first wave of the pandemic and pre-pandemic respiratory diseases lethality rates did not confirm any link between pandemic...

The other task was also to determine whether the structure of sport performance of selected sports will influence the level of motoric abilities of the children in primary school age. The research-oriented part proves that there is no significant difference in average results. The testing showed that handball and basketball players have the highest levels of motoric abilities. The research also showed that the sportsmen in primary school age have the worst results in the tests focused on physical condition of players.
