The Concept of a Thing in Czech and Swiss Civil Law

The Concept of a Thing in Czech and Swiss Civil Law This rigorous thesis deals with the concept of a thing in the legal sense. The central subject of the thesis is thus the term "thing" while the aim of the thesis is to compare the concept of a thing in the legal sense as compassed by Czech and Swiss civil law. Whereas Czech law considers beside tangible objects also intangible objects, i.e. rights and another things with no tangible substance to be a thing (so called broad concept of a thing), Swiss law considers solely tangible objects to be a thing in the legal sense (so called narrow concept of a thing). The thesis analysis both these concepts and then compares them, besides that it deals with some special objects of civil law, i.e. a living animal, controllable natural forces and securities including those in book-entry form. The thesis is divided into three chapters: the first chapter deals with the historical development of the term "thing" since Roman law. Right of Superficies and Different Possibilities of a Building Construction on Another's Land

This Master Thesis deals primarily with the legal institute of the right of superficies. It also deals with some another legal institutes which can be used for a building construction on another's land. The Thesis' aim is primarily the analysis and evaluation of the effective legal regulation of the right of superficies and furthermore its comparison with historical regulations, with the Swiss regulation, as well as the comparison with another institutes which can be used for a building construction on another's land. The Thesis is divided into five chapters which are divided into subchapters. The first chapter defines the basical relevant terms which are important for understanding of the legal institute of the right of superficies. The second chapter is dedicated to the history of the right of superficies and introduces historical legal regulations of this legal institute. At first, the original Roman law institute of superficies is introduced, furthermore all the acts which governed the right of superficies in the history in the area of the Czech Republic are analysed, including the regulation of the proposed Czechoslovak Civil Code that never came into force. Energy Assessment

The first part of the final thesis is focused on the use of thermovision for diagnosing defects and failures in building industry. Documented history, physical principles and conditions for the measuring of thermographic camera are described in this part. Thermal images of the object described below were used for demonstrating the defects. The second part is dedicated to the elaborated energy assessment for a nine-storey slab block building. In total, there are five energy economic measures developed for the building. Three of those are of structural character and two of those are for building equipment. There are two variants designed based on the measures, one of which is recommended and evalu-ated. The final section is focused on the measurement of slab block building indoor environment (CO2, air temperature, relative humidity, dew point) and its assessment in concern with the current legislation.
Multifunctional Semi-detached Building in Svitavy

The thesis contains the design and construction design of a residential building with an establishment connected to the existing terraced houses in the town of Svitavy in level of project documentation for the construction. The building has a rectangular plan shape, one underground floor, three floors, the attic and the roof is designed as a saddle. The property is brought footpaths and nearby the parking is proposed. Building land is sloping to the north. The main part of the building is intended for living, ground floor is designed for three establishments.
Heating of the Manufacturing Hall with the administration

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to compare different heating systems for industrial buildings and to find suitable solution for the heating system of the manufacturing building located on Brno periphery. The manufacturing area consists of two one-floor manufacturing halls and three-floors administrative building. The building heating is ensured conventionally, forced ventilation is only in manufacturing halls. The heat source is gas condensing boiler located together with air-conditioning unit in technical room. The heating system is designed with accent to smooth and effective functionality.

Bachelor´s thesis includes the design and construction plan for a family house with a place of business in the town of Olomouc in the stage of project documentation for construction. The object has a rectangular ground plan, one basement, three groundfloors, attic and roof. The roof is designed as a saddle. To the building lead a pedestrian and access roads and the land is fenced. The main part of the building is intended for living, groundfloor is using for store with the purpose of the travel agency.
