The Use of Art Therapy Techniques in Special Education

This thesis is coming from the special pedagogy field transformation anticipated by its specialists; with this closely comes an expansion of the tool and competence range of a special pedagogue. The aim and major topic of this thesis is to describe and introduce the techniques and processes of art therapy, which can be used especially by special pedagogues. To this purpose serves humastically oriented direction of art therapy; herein used for the techniques description. The possible art theraypy methods impact is divided in three areas; activation and refreshment, relaxation, social interaction and communication. This division is completed with individual exercises examples and description of their usage within various groups. The text of this thesis also contains a special pedagogic evolution overview and description of its contemporary trends, a chapter dedicated to art, a brief overview of other expressive therapies and an individual chapter of art therapy.
Readiness of kindergarten teachers to work with Vietnamese children

The present text attempts to prepare experts - kindergarten teachers for quality work with children with a different native language - specifically with Vietnamese children. The theoretical part describes important information from the issue of socio-cultural specifics of the Vietnamese minority, to the topic of dealing with the mastery of the Czech language. The theoretical part is devoted to the topic of individual development of kindergarten teachers, multicultural education, and with the integration of Vietnamese children in Czech schools. The practical part describes the main issues that have teachers Czech kindergartens with Vietnamese children. Deprival Syndrome of Children, its Interpretation and Possibilities of Reparation in School Environment and Institutional Care

This bachelor thesis aims to describe the basic characteristics and problems related to deprivation syndrome in children, provide educators the information needed for effective orientation in the area, to recognize deprivation syndrome, emphasize the importance of relationships that go beyond the educational environment and have a societal character and offer tools and mechanisms that lead to effective prevention and possible remedial syndrome. The work is divided into two main sections. The first part defines the basic terms and conditions of deprivation syndrome formation and its symptoms. It refers to the characteristics of resource deprivation syndrome and how it translates into behavior syndrome children. The second part focuses on possibility of prevention and remediation deprivation syndrome. Emphasis is placed on the importance of the interconnectedness of life and many areas of society. Also important is the influence of family coherence and teaching staff to optimize prevention and correction.
Education of Visually Impaired Children with Focus on Music Education

The theme of this bachelor thesis is the education of visually impaired children with focus on music education. The aim of this work is to chart methods currently applied the in education of visually impaired children with a focus on music education. The current methodies will be compared with the procedures that had been used in the education of visually impaired children in the past. The theoretical part is mainly aimed at education of the pupil/student with visual impairment, where it was drawn from the quoted literature and selected scholarly resources. In this section it is possible to find types of schools for the visually impaired, teaching methods, but also brief etiology of visual defects, and finally, possibilities of employment of visually impaired people in the music field. The second (empirical) part of this thesis deals with the processing of research through questionnaires and interviews. Motivation of Adolescents to Self-Education and Self-Lead

This bachelor's work deals with motivation of adolescents for self-education and self- upbringing. Theoretical part contents definition of term "motivation" and explanation of its principals, further are described the important developmental turning-points of adolescent period mainly through characteristics that have an impact on formation of concerns for self- upbringing and self-education of adolescents. Research part of work forms qualitative research, whose aim was to stipulate, due to obtained results, which factors influence motivation of adolescents for self-education and self-upbringing. During research method of semi-structured interview and Grounded design theory were used. Research's results at the end of work, show that motivation of adolescents for self-educational and self-upbringing activities is influenced by internal and external factors, in various proportions. Strong external motivational elements are mainly parents and pressure from society, important internal elements are mainly desire to accomplish something, work on personality limits and have good job. Impact of those factors is than determined by adolescent's age, when the external factors are in the course of growing losing their power, while the internal are getting more adolescent's attention. Social Preparedness for Kindergarten

This bachelor thesis surveys the field of social preparedness for kindergarten from the perspective of developmental psychology and the influences of the modern world in which preschool children grow up and which affect them. The thesis is partitioned into the theoretical and practical research parts. The second chapter of the theoretical part describes the preschool facilities and care possibilities for preschool children in the Czech republic with emphasis on common kindergartens. The third chapter is focused on a preschool child from the perspective of developmental psychology and environmental influences. The fourth charter introduces the term social preparedness for kindergarten. It also explains the concept of adaptation period. Its evaluation and results are used in the practical part as potential criteria for determining the social preparedness for the kindergarten. The first section of the research part is dedicated to the survey on social preparedness and how it is percieved by parents and teachers. The second section captures the observation conducted on a sample of 15 children during the adaptation period. The conclusion summarizes the results of the research. .
Options of parent education for children and teens in school

The diploma thesis deals with parent education at school at theoretical part. Its aim is to provide the necessary methodological ideas and principles which can promote better preparation for teachers of primary and lower secondary schools to implement parent education. The present work highlights the importance of family upbringing for the child's personality, the majority of the current instability in Czech families and the history of problematic areas and deficiencies in preparing children and adolescents for their future role as a father and a mother. The theoretical part is completed by defining the necessary requirements for teacher personality which dedicated to teaching about family and parenthood at the school. At the empirical part, there is a questionnaire to a sample probe 72 Czech teachers of first and second degree qualified to teach elementary science, health education, civic education (education for citizenship), family education, personal and social education, respectively other objects within which pay attention to family and parenthood. It was concluded that the attitudes of teachers to teach these topics in the choice proved to be rather positive. This bachelor work is dealing with the question of psychohygiene in school and application of relaxation techniques into the teaching process at elementary schools. Mental hygiene here is primarily focused on the pupils. This work defines several basic terms regarding to the topic, for example: psychohygiene, mental health, relaxation techniques etc. Primary intention of this work is refer to the necessity to pursue greater attention to the psychohygiene of the pupils since elementary school, due to keeping their mental health in balance, learning how to relax, preventing mental problems, fatigue or exhaustion. Possible symptoms of mental unease of pupils and reasons why it is necessary to care about their mental health are stated in this work. Finally this work offers some relaxation techniques and practices. Part of this work is also suggestion of several relaxation techniques, which would be usable and suitable at school for integration into the educational process. The empirical part of this thesis is addressed to learning strategies and learning techniques used by pupils of the particular school.

A Conception of pre-school child's resilience and its comparison from teacher's and parent's point of view The key words:  psychological resilience  pre-school child  initiative  self-regulation  attachment/relationships Abstract Theoretical part In the theoretical part the term "psychic resilience" and various approaches to it will be established. The reader will be familiarized with the factors of psychic resilience that are of the utmost importance for its development. A self-contained chapter will be dedicated to the characteristics of the pre-school child with a focus on the most important areas of said age - socialization, play, the development of self-regulation and initiative. Kindergartens as important institutions throughout the pre-school age will also be targeted. Practical part The goal of the practical part is to determine whether the viewing angle and overall conception of a child's psychic resilience differ among a child's parents and a child's teachers. Given the fact that psychic resilience is being developed in two separate environments, family and school, disparities in the conception of psychic resilience from a parent and teacher's standpoint have been observed. The standardized DECA-2 form has been used.
