Apartment building
Šafr, Matěj ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (referee) ; Utíkalová, Ivana (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the development of project documentation for the construction of an apartment building. It is a building with 10 storeys and a full basement. The above-ground floors are mainly residential units and partly studios. This multi-storey building is also equipped with an elevator and an underground parking space, which is accessible by a car lift. The ground floor also houses a bicycle shop. The residential building will be located on the cadastral territory of the municipal district of Černá pole [610771], the entire building is located on plot number 3794 in Brno. Vertical load-bearing structures are designed mainly as reinforced concrete, then ceramic masonry in the higher receding floors. Horizontal load-bearing structures are designed as monolithic reinforced concrete. The roofs of the building are designed as flat single-skin roofs with an extensive vegetation layer, terraces are constructed with ceramic tiles. The foundation is designed on piles with a diameter of 600 mm and a waterproof monolithic reinforced concrete slab.
Assessment for selection and development of employees: Competency model for entry-level salespeople in services
Šafr, Martin ; Kirovová, Iva (referee) ; Höschlová, Eva (referee)
This thesis focuses on the proper use of various assessment methods for selection and development of employees in various positions within an organization. The selection and use of assessment methods have been tailored to practical requirements for each position in the organization with regard to their specificities. This current thesis elaborates on the assessment for technical, administrative, managerial jobs with special emphasis being put on the assessment for sales positions. Within the strategic assessment programmes the thesis deals with assessing the potential of individuals and the prediction of future behavior which is of great importance for the organization's future success. An Integrated Model of Potencial is specifically mentioned in this chapter and its practical use is suggested. In the second, empirical part of the thesis an attempt has been made to create a specific competency model for entry-level services salespeople and proposals for its practical use have been outlined. Key words: personnel psychology, psychological assessment, assessment methods and techniques, selection and development of employees, assessing the potential of individuals, competencies, competency modelling.
Psychological testing in personnel psychology: competency-based selection of hospitality leaders
Šafr, Martin ; Wagnerová, Irena (advisor) ; Štikar, Jiří (referee)
This thesis deals with one of the most debated topics of the Personnel Psychology - the personnel selection. The aim of the thesis is to provide an exhaustive overview of the designing process of the selection procedures with special attention being paid to the various methods of selecting employees. Attention was primarily paid to the effort that the knowledge of the otherwise common methods of selecting employees be put in the new framework and the latest ways of their application. Particular emphasis has been put upon the new approaches to the method of interview, cognitive abilities testing, detection of individual personality at work and new methods in designing assessment centers. An interesting chapter is the use of emotional factors as selection criteria and the application of the attachment theory to work. Considerable extent of the thesis is also devoted to the methods of job analysis and competency modeling, their comparison and applications. Based on the previous theoretical treatise the empirical part attempts at creating a competency model for senior executives in the hotel industry and proposes possible ways of its practical use.

Diagnostics of the Performance Quality in Top Level Players
Šafr, Milan ; Buzek, Mario (advisor) ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (referee)
Název: Diagnostika herního výkonu u hráčů elitní výkonnosti Diagnostic ofthe duality performance by players ofelite performance level Cíle práce: A) Odhalit "chybná řešení" v obranné fázi u mužstva dospělých hráčů elitní výkonnosti. B) Kategorizovat zjištěné poznatky a navrhnout opatření pro tréninkový proces, která by přispěla ke zlepšení herního výkonu. Metoda: Použili jsme metody nepřímého pozorování pomocí videozáznamu.V šetření jsme využili kvantitativní a kvalitativní analýzy "chybných řešení" objevujících se v obranné fázi u vybraných utkání mužstva FC Chlesea v Lize mistrů.
Aerodynamic bearing support for the rotor of a 100 kW input industrial turboblower with operation speed of 18000 rpm was designed and experimentally tested.
Spectral identification of ATUR rotor on aerodynamic bearings
Kozánek, Jan ; Veselý, Jan ; Říha, I. ; Šafr, M.
In this paper the spectral identification of the rotor on aerodynamic tilting-pad bearings is presented. The identified resonances correspond to the calculated critical speeds from mathematical model and real parts of eigenvalues give us the additional iformation about the stability margin.
Aerodynamic support for a big rotating machines
Šimek, J. ; Kozánek, Jan ; Šafr, M.
Aerodynamic bearing support for a 100 kW input industrial turboblower was designed and partly tested. Rigid rotor with about 50 kg mass was run up to the maximum operating speed of 18.000 rpm. The rotor is supported in two aerodynamic tilting-pad journal bearings 120 mm in diameter, the axial forces are taken up by aerodynamic thrust bearing 250 mm in diameter. The tests showed trouble-free operation of journal bearings up to maximum operating speed.
Aerodynamické uložení průmyslového rotoru turbodmychadla o výkonu 100 kW
Šimek, J. ; Kozánek, Jan ; Šafr, M.
Aerodynamic bearing support for the rotor of a 100 kW input industrial turboblower with operational speed of 18.000 rpm was designed and manufactured. Rotor with mass of about 50 kg is supported in two tilting-pad journal bearings 120 mm in diameter, axial forces are taken up by aerodynamic spiral groove thrust bearing 250 mm in diameter. In the paper some specific features of the bearing design are described and the results of rotor relative vibration measurement during putting the machine into trial operation are presented.
