Evaluation of the use of Helios Orange in the context of a specific company

The main aim of this thesis is to evaluate the use of Helios Orange in the context of a specific company. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part describes the history of accounting and developments in the technology of bookkeeping, the development of ERP systems, related legislation and selected possibilities of electronic data interchange. In the practical part, the company PNEU PROCHÁZKA s.r.o. is firstly described. Selected most used modules of Helios Orange are then further discribed and evaluated including the possibilities of change in their use.

Goodwill in mergers

The diploma thesis is focused on goodwill, which can occur during mergers of companies in the Czech Republic. The beginning of the theoretical part is devoted to the definition of the term goodwill, summary of the history of that accounting item and explanation of the types of business transformations. It is followed by comprehensive description of recognition and reporting of goodwill and valuation difference on acquired assets in accounting during domestic mergers. The thesis is supplemented by references to specific statutory regulations relating to the manner and timing of the recognition of these items. The whole thesis is focused exclusively on mergers in the Czech Republic. The application part contains information about research and analysis of selected domestic mergers realized in years 2012 and 2013. The most important conclusion of the analysis is that goodwill occurs very rarely during mergers in the Czech Republic.

Multicultural World in Zadie Smith's Recent Novels

Initially, the diploma thesis introduces the overall context of contemporary AngloAmerican post-colonial literature and defines its fundamental postulates, such as ethnicity, cultural diversity, hybridity, globalization, and multiculturalism. Furthermore, the thesis briefly mentions several British authors of various ethnic background (Zadie Smith, Hanif Kureishi, Salman Rushdie). The main aim of the thesis is to analyze Zadie Smith's three most recent novels (White Teeth, On Beauty, N-W) in the context of multicultural environment of contemporary Anglo-American world. The thesis further concentrates on author's narrative techniques, prevailing themes in the novels, the influence of English literary tradition, namely of E. M. Forster and David Lodge, and examines verbal and situational humor of the aforesaid novels.

Radek Pilař "again finding childhood of arts"

This thesis discovers personality of Radek Pilar on a personal, public and artistic level. Through personal diary entries, texts written in periodicals dealing with visual arts, interviews of different genres and unpublished reflections on the future of electronic moving image, I try to reconstruct Pilar personality and its space in the Czechoslovak context of art and time.

Making Theatre in London

The thesis examines contemporary British theatre focusing on the dynamic between a playwright, a director and an actor, which is very different in the UK from continental Europe. Describing specific London productions as well as the history of modern British theatre, it tries to identify what are the defining characteristics of British directing, acting and playwriting. Each chapter focuses on one of these elements and defines British theatre in realation to the Czech scene. By comparing selected productions of the same British play in Prague and London the author draws attention to the possible difficulties that might arise while staging British drama in a different cultural context.

Enneagram-Development of Personality Type Test

The enneagram typology describes nine personality types and their mutual relations. It is a theoretical construct whose psychological validity is still being scientifically verified. The focus of this work is to develop a reliable and valid psychometric tool for recognizing the enneagram type and thereby verify the validity of this typology. The theoretical section describes the enneagram system on the basis of available literature and reviews research that set it in the psychological context. The empirical section deals with the development of the test to determine the ennea-type, with verification of its psychometric characteristics and criterion validity, and at the same time it examines the construct validity of enneagram typology. The criterion to review the validity is The Essential Enneagram Test by David Daniels, type identification by interview and self-identification. A quantitative data analysis was conducted on the sample of 300 persons of both, men and women of all ages using various kinds of statistical methods. The findings indicate that the tool developed to identify the ennea-type is reliable, of good psychometric quality and satisfactory criterion validity. Social and legal status of persons with health disabilities

The very thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis at the very beginning focused on the social history of people with certain disabilities. Continues thesis definition and characteristics of disability and its exact breakdown. The next chapter deals with the analysis of contemporary society in the area of discrimination against persons with disabilities and points to the possibility of employment in the labor market just people with disabilities. A relatively large part of the thesis is devoted to the concept of disability, then the conditions for entitlement to a disability pension and social benefits, especially for people with disabilities. The next part refers to various non-profit organizations Conclusion itself thesis is devoted to legislation related to social assistance to disabled persons. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey forms and personal interviews. The text part is supported by graphs, tables and streamline the survey results further illustrative photographs of people with disabilities.

The impact on the european automotive industry by the free trade agreement between the European Union and Japan

The European Union is negotiating a free trade agreement with Japan since 2013. The subject of this diploma theses is to analyze how this agreement can influence either automotive industry. In order to understand the agreements possible influence, classical, neoclassical, contemporary and alternative theories of international trade and international trade policies are being examined. It is then analyzed what the agreement aims to accomplish in context of the Japanese macroeconomic, the history of trade relations and development, the current trade situation, production and demand on both markets. Finally, the agreement is compared to an existing agreement with Republic of Korea which is in a similar scenario. The result is that an increase of luxury cars being imported by each side is the most likely outcome.

Indičtí Migranti a z vlastní iniciativy Expatriates v hostitelské zemi: důraz na sociální podpory

The researcher of this study " Indian Migrants and Self-Initiated Expatriates in the host Countries: the Focus on Social Support" the whole study about the Indian expatriates who are living in the United Kingdom and the main goal of this research is to predict how successful the Indian expatriates in their settling process in the UK and the focus of social supports. The sample includes both Self-initiated expatriates ( SIE's) and Assigned Expatriates(AE's). SIE's expatriates are Indian students who are studying in the UK and the AE's expatriates are the company assigned Indian full-time employees. Social support includes briefly the overall host country support provided for Indian expatriates in the host country. Social support is measured in three broader dimensions pertinent to Waxin cross-cultural adjustment model (2006), likely perceived organizational support, individual self-motivation, and contextual support, includes family support and host country environment. (Navas et al, 2005) classified six relevant contexts of acculturation of expatriates in a foreign country, which emphasize, politics and government, organizational work-related adjustments, economic perspective, family relations; social relations and ideology, which includes religious belief and customs. The structure of the thesis covers extensive theoretical part based on the intense review of literature in the field of expatriation, cross-cultural studies, information on this context about the United Kingdom and India and final part includes practical data analysis, business cases and recommendation for the future research.
