Podhajská, Barbora ; Slaměník, Ivan (advisor) ; Morgensternová, Monika (referee)
Ideal partner preferences for long-term relationship among high school students This diploma work deals with the question what personality characteristics qualities demands young people wish at their future ideal partner for long-term partners relationship. In theoretical part there are pieces of knowledge about developing period of adolescence attractivity and about required qualities at ideal partner adult age. The aim of empirical part was to find out which qualities and demands dominate in ideas about ideal partner at nowadays Czech high school students and how these demands change due to gender and age. The profile of ideal partner was found out whith using prototypical approach and was realised into phases. The result of the research is image of ideal partner among high school students made up of ten the most required qualities and characteristics: ,,faithful", ,,give support", ,,sincere", ,,tolerant", ,,takes care of the family", ,,reliable", ,,friendly", ,,reasonable", ,,responsible", ,,non-drinker". Hypothesis concerning with the differences at gender age were validated to certain rate. The most differences proved statistic analyse at comparing younger women and younger men. On the other side at the least statistically significant differences were recorded among older women and older men and among...

Preparation and testing of silver immobilized nanoparticles for SERS spectroscopy of biomolecules
Molnár, Peter
Main goal of this work was to develop methodology of immobilization of silver nanoparticles to silanized glass plates and employment of these substrates in biomolecular study using surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). The suitable substrates for SERS spectroscopy, borohydride-reduced colloidal nanoparticles immobilized by mercapto- or aminosilane, have been found. Good SERS spectra of positively charged TMPyP porphyrin as well as of water insoluble TPP porphyrin (without interference of the solvent) have been obtained. Our results clearly show, that our substrates provide unique possibility how to measure SERS spectra of the porphyrins in his native free-base form (what is impossible directly from the colloid). Further experiments confirm that the porphyrins are protected against metalation due to the presence of the silane employed for the silver particles immobilization.

Glacial hydrological regime, case study of lake Adygene (Tien - Shan, Kyrgyzstan)
Beitlerová, Hana ; Kocum, Jan (referee) ; Šobr, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis is concerned with detailed analysis of glacial hydrological regime and its influencing factors. Knowledges published in the domestic and foreign scientific literature were applied on data acquired in the area of Adygine Lake (Tien - Shan, Kyrgyzstan). The lake is a part of a lake system recently developed in the surroundings of a retreating glacier. There is a potential risk of dam failure in terms of its stability. Lake level fluctuations depending upon climatic conditions, melt water inflow and capacity of subsurface outflow channels were observed. Key words: glacial regime, glacial lake, melt water, glacier melt, diurnal variations, seasonal variations, delay of runoff

System of Care after Traumatic Brain Injury - Problems in the Czech Republic: Current Dilemmas and Challanges.
Janečková, Marcela ; Holmerová, Iva (advisor) ; Rusina, Robert (referee)
Aims: To introduce the field of traumatic brain injury (TBI) focusing on the consequences that may be caused by the injury; to give comprehensive information about the organisation and characteristics of a system of care and rehabilitation, to analyse the main problems of the Czech system of care and rehabilitation as perceived by its key actors - people after brain injury and experts. Methods: Quantitative and qualitative research using structured questionnaire, methods of public policy analysis (analysis of documents, problem modelling) Results: The research indicates that due to the Czech care system, people, who have suffered brain injury, struggle with many problems related to the accessibility of individual rehabilitation modules and other social services. Areas difficult to access appear mostly in neuropsychological rehabilitation, speech therapy, special education, end especially social and vocational rehabilitation. Regarding social services, respondents stated that especially difficult to access are supported living and supported employment programmes. An important factor is also the access to the support, which enables an independent life without family support, and how this influences overall life satisfaction. More than half of respondents stated that they did not receive such forms of support...

Phytoremediation:biochemical characteristics of heavy metal hyperacumulators
Lábusová, Jana ; Lipavská, Helena (advisor) ; Podlipná, Radka (referee)
Water and soil pollution by heavy metals is a very serious problem of nowadays. Since the beginning of industrial revolution, the concentration of heavy metals increased sharply in the environment. One way how to decontaminate soils and groundwaters is phytoremediation that uses plants to remediate pollutants from the contaminated sites. This eco-friendly and cost- effective method exploits the ability of plants to take up, translocate, transform and sequester metals. In phytoremediation, the plants that are able to accumulate metals to high concentration are mainly used. These plants are named "hyperaccumulators". Accumulation of metals by plants is affected not only by the capability of plant in question, but to a great extend also by the form and concentration of metal in the soil and environmental conditions. The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to summarize knowledge on impact of heavy metals on biochemical changes in plants, with special emphasis on changes in carbohydrate metabolism.

Headscarf blue
Holečková, Michaela ; Vermachová, Martina (referee) ; Hrdličková Kučková, Štěpánka (advisor)
The aim of this work was to prepare and dye a cloth by a cornflower blue due to recipe from the 15th century. Introductory section summarizes the theoretical knowledge about plant dyes and dyeing plants, including the studied cornflower. In the experimental section the "headscarves" blue was obtained and a white cloth was successfully dyed by this blue. A test for confirmation of the presence of anthocyanine dyes contained in cornflowers was also performed. The dyed cloth will serve to expand the collection of reference samples that will be used for identification of natural organic dyes in the future.

Reintroduction of a copepod species Cyclops abyssorum (Crustacea) and its impact on zooplankton in Plešné Lake
Křenová, Radka ; Vrba, Jaroslav (referee) ; Sacherová, Veronika (advisor)
Abstract Plešné Lake is a small glacial lake in the Bohemian Forest. In the 1980th, it was heavily influenced by an acification event caused by severe atmospheric pollution. Due to some extreme parameters in the water chemistry (mainly low pH and high concentration of toxic aluminum compounds) several zooplankton species got extinct. Among these, two species important in lakes food web: Daphnia spp. and Cyclops abyssorum. They, however, survived the acidification period in one of the Bohemian Forest Lake: Prášilské. Although recovery of lakes from acidification is usually followed by return of some species or colonization by others, recolonization of Plešné Lake is assumed to be very slow or impossible from external sources thanks to the remote position of the lake. Therefore in the fall of 2004 two zooplankton species (Daphnia longispina and Cyclops abyssorum) were artificially reintroduced into Plešné Lake. In the course of 4 years that followed only Cyclops abyssorum appeared in the lake, Daphnia longispina was not recorded. My thesis focuses on several aims. First, I evaluate the development of C. abyssorum population. Second, I studied the competition between C. abyssorum and another copepod species - Heterocope saliens, acidotolerant species which never disappeared from the lake. Third, I...

Vývoj optického sensoru pro salicylát
Soukupová, Marie ; Matysová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Sklenářová, Hana (referee)
We dealt with the development of optical sensor for salicylate. Sensing layer of sensor was based on metalloporphyrins. Metalloporphyrins embody great optical features. Metalloporphyrins are commonly employed as ionophores in ion-selective electrodes (ISEs). Observations from work with ISEs are applied to optical sensors. At first, membrane was constructed, based on tetraphenylporphyrin copper(II) (Cu(TPP)) and it did not show significant sensitivity towards salicylate. Further there were membranes created from tetraphenylporphyrin manganese(III)chloride (Mn(TPP)) and gallium(III)phthalocyanine chloride (Ga(PC)). Reactivity of Mn(TPP) was comparable with reactivity of Cu(TPP). Membrane from Ga(PC) displayed considerable reactivity and sensitivity towards salicylate. Later the membrane's capability was tested to detect valproate. We discovered that the limit of detection for valproate is much lower than for salicylate. Due to great reactivity and variability in membrane response in spectrophotometric assay we were not able to set the working conditions for application to flow system and to dissolution as well. Ga(PC) has thus very good potential in use for detection of valproate. Valproate is one of the most used antiepileptic drugs.

Phytoplankton of the Slapy reservoir: seasonal changes and sedimentation losses
Krutílková, Lucie ; Desortová, Blanka (referee) ; Nedbalová, Linda (advisor)
Seasonal development of phytoplankton in the central part of the eutrophic canyon-shaped Slapy Reservoir was studied in 2003-2007. Weekly sampling interval of the euphotic layer (0-4 m) revealed detailed information on the timing and shape of phytoplankton peaks, not clearly detected by previous monitoring carried out in three-week intervals. The phytoplankton biomass (expressed as chlorophyll a concentration) formed usually three sharp peaks during the vegetation period. In winters with little or no ice cover, the winter minimum was followed by an exponential increase under conditions of almost continuous mixing. After the onset of thermal stratification the increase continued due to markedly improved light conditions in the epilimnetic layer, until the first seasonal maximum was reached. After the sudden decline of the spring peak, the clear-water phase occurred in late May or early June. The pattern of the two summer peaks was especially in 2006 more complex, due to their dependence on a set of less predictable factors. Concerning species composition of peaks, a regular pattern was also observed. Typically, the spring maximum was formed by fast growing cryptomonad flagellates (Plagioselmis spp., Cryptomonas spp.) and small centric diatoms from various genera. The other two peaks were less...
