Statistical identification of industry clusters potential

The aim of the thesis is to present the process connected with the identification of industrial clusters and to point out possible methods and instruments that are useable by such identification. The target is not only focussed on description of these methods but also on consideration that the methods are likewise useful in regions of Czech Republic, especially taken into account the existing offer of regional data. The diplom thesis consists of three parts. The first part represents theoretical introduction to clusters' problem. The second part, also the theoretical one, deals widely with quantitative and qualitative methods and with procedures and clasification that belong to these methods. The third part applies the theoretical knowledge into practices. The comparison methods are used in the theoretical part and the methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison and induction are used in the practical part. The diplom thesis brings a quantitative extension of methods that have been used so far when identifying the industrial clusters in Czech Republic. Due to the present trend of prefering the qualitative methods, the extension of quantitative methods could be seen as a retrograde act. But the conditions of Czech Republic tourned out that, in fact, it is a suitable extension of statistical instruments.

The Utilization Of City Parks in Biology Education Centered on the Královská obora

The thesis "The Utilization Of City Parks in Biology Education Centered on the Královská Obora" consists of two sections - general and dendrologic section and didactic section. Both sections are based on detected wood species of Královská obora, which are 204 species, including cultivars. The first part deals with the Královská obora, its history and damage by the flood in August 2002 and with the significance and evolution of the city green. Chapters focused on dendrology contain comparison between planting from the 60's before the flood and current planting, including already mentioned list of wood species, recording of the wood species in a plan and their brief description added by a picture of a leaf. The didactic part deals with the mission of an excursion in biology education and identification of the wood species with the children; an excursion into Královská obora for primary and secondary schools, including worksheets, is proposed. This work has four annexes: a herbarium, photos of wood species (both are added on CD), PowerPoint presentation (OpenOffice), which has one chapter in the didactic section and HTML pages.

The Concept of Pollution Kegare in Japan at the Turn of 16th and 17th Century

The major objective of this master thesis, is to describe the process of forming and development of the social groups connected with the concept of ritual pollution kegare in Japan at the turn of 16th century. The main questions are: In which direction did the development of these groups tend to go from the outset of the Japanese Middle Ages? Did the policies of the unifiers of Japan cause any disruptions to this development, and if so, what was the new direction? Was creation of the Edo outcaste order also motivated by an effort to restrict access to strategical commodities, or was it only a side effect of individual edicts and restrictions? To answer these questions I used two approaches. At first I diachronically described the development of groups connected with the concept of ritual pollution from the ancient times, and to this data I applied Mary Douglas's grid and group theory. Results of this show that during the time period in question development of groups of eta tanners was significantly accelerated, while the status of the non-persons groups of hinin was stagnating, or regressing. This thesis hopefully offers a brief insight into the overlooked aspects of Japanese history, and sheds some light on the reason for the discrimination of descendants of the burakumin group which in Japan...

Procognitive effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation in depression

V současné době se problematika kognitivních funkcí u depresivních pacientů dostává do popředí zájmu neuropsychologického výzkumu. Ukazuje se totiž, že porucha ovlivňuje praktický život pacientů. Dává se do souvislosti zejména se sociálním a pracovním selháváním. Bližší prozkoumání podstaty a specifického obrazu kognitivního poškození tak může přispět k hlubšímu pochopení depresivní poruchy a k vytvoření zacílených a efektivních programů její nápravy. Přesto se v současné klinické praxi hodnotí kognitivní výkon u depresivní poruchy spíše výjimečně. Hodnocení kognitivních funkcí např. u schizofrenie je již běžnou součástí klinického vyšetření, zatímco u depresivní poruchy je ještě stále považováno za "nadstandardní". Je to poměrně překvapivé, zvláště když si uvědomíme, že například měření poruch paměti je svým způsobem objektivnější než posuzování jiných významných symptomů deprese jako je její závažnost či přítomnost poruch spánku. Kromě toho je kognitivní deficit pravděpodobně 7 klíčovým faktorem, podle kterého se odvíjí schopnost sociálního fungování nemocných a tím i doba návratu do zaměstnání. Repetitivní transkraniální magnetická stimulace (rTMS) představuje novou možnost léčby depresivních poruch. Výhodou je zejména možnost působit pouze na danou oblast mozkové kůry. Restructuralization of czech steel industry

Práce je zaměřena na na restrukturalizaci českého ocelářského průmyslu. Úkolem teoretické části této diplomové práce je charakteristika procesu zvyšování produktivity v rámci finanční, ale i provozní restrukturalizace, jež může podnik nacházející se v určitých finančních problémech využít, za předpokladu splnění určitých, pro úspěšnou restrukturalizaci nutných podmínek. Tato část se rovněž zabývá metodami v praxi používanými pro dosažení již zmíněného růstu produktivity podnikových činností a v neposlední řadě půjde o vlivy vnějšího okolí, působící na úspěšnost restrukturalizace. Praktická část je pak zaměřena především na aplikaci teoretického rámce na realitu ocelářského průmyslu v České republice. Jde o snahu přiblížit role, funkce a výkony některých organizací zřízených za účelem provádění restrukturalizace, ale i o přiblížení některých programů, především pak realizovaného programu českého ocelářského průmyslu České republiky, založeného na základech studie Eurostrategy, který si kladl za úkol očistit podniky ve finanční krizi za účelem následného získání strategického partnera.

Dobrovolnictví zaměřené na drogově závislé v ČR

Práce popisuje přínos dobrovolníků, kteří působí v oblasti drogově závislých? pohled na drogově závislé osoby a společnost? příčiny a důsledky tohoto sociálního jevu. Poukazuje na koncepci státní sociální politiky a podmínky podpory dobrovolnictví ze strany státu. Na příkladech dobrovolnictví v praxi jsou nastíněna specifika dobrovolnictví v této oblasti a doporučení k efektivnosti a přínosu konkrétních programů. Pozornost je rovněž věnována imputované hodnotě dobrovolnické práce a významu dobrovolnické práce pro tvorbu hrubé přidané hodnoty zachycené v systému národních účtů.

Gamification of Mobile Application for Intelligent Home Control

This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of raising users' motivation to use the application for the Intelligent home control. It describes common principles of implementation of game-based mechanics into the real-life systems and deals with the concrete design of motivational programme. Practical part of this thesis describes the implementation of the designed system of rewards and its display in the mobile application. The final application contains the motivational system for users based on collecting points and achievements and covers the majority of the functions of the Intelligent home.

INSTITUTIONALIZATION OF MANAGERIAL NEW VALUES AND STANDARDS

V literárním rozboru je kladen důraz především na vliv nových hodnot a zásad v koncernu Volkswagen na jednání manažerů ve Škoda Auto. V teoretické části se autor opírá o přístupy institucionální a organizačně-kulturní a přístupy ke stylu řízení. Dále je proveden výzkum pro ověření teorie, potvrzení či vyvrácení hypotéz a zodpovězení otázek, které s tímto tématem souvisejí. Experimentální část se nejprve zabývá popisem metody zkoumání a způsobem šetření ve Škoda Auto. Rovněž jsou detailněji popsány postupy implementace KLL do praxe manažerů a blíže vysvětleny body KLL. Zpracovaný výzkum a jeho výsledky jsou prezentovány v navazujících kapitolách. Autor si dovoluje vyzdvihnout pozitiva realizačního procesu KLL v praxi a rovněž upozornit na jeho nedostatky. Přístup manažerů k tomuto procesu je klíčovou otázkou celé práce. Jejich subjektivní hodnocení jednotlivých požadavků se odráží na míře a ochotě tyto požadavky uplatňovat ve svém jednání či je dále šířit. Na závěr je navržena metoda pro úspěšné zavádění podobných změn ve velkých podnicích, jakým Škoda Auto je. Jsou uvedeny předpoklady pro úspěšné zahájení realizace změny kultury a sladění cílů a v neposlední řadě i úskalí a rizika, která mohou podobné záměry zmrazit. Další navazující kroky, které je třeba činit po skončení realizační fáze procesu, jsou uvedeny v závěru práce.

The dissertation is focused on cross-cutting curriculum Man and the world of work in economic fields of education and its integration into the educational system. The theoretical part is devoted to information on the general and school education programs, cross-cutting curriculum Man and the world of work, its history and its inclusion in school curricula and teaching. The practical part is aimed to analyze the completed achievement tests and questionnaires by students of business academies and interpretation of the results with subsequent own proposals for the integration of cross-curricular curriculum Man and the world of work into the educational system in economic fields of education.

Industry 4.0 in Czech Republic

The thesis reviews the current situation related to the Industry 4.0 and puts it into context. In the first part of the thesis, there is an introduction to the current economic situation and the major challenges. The concept and vision of Industry 4.0 is introduced together with the world's leading initiatives and examples of Industry 4.0 technologies in manufacturing processes presented by tech leaders. The thesis also includes examples of readiness models and simulated calculation ROCE. The finding of the thesis is that, although the very concept of Industry 4.0 is not well known, digitization and automation of production continues and both are considered a necessity. Interviews with experts from the business practice in the Czech Republic introduces key opportunities and challenges arising from new technologies and when they might become the new standard.
