Post-synthesis synthesis: Czech kinetic art of the 60's and the following creative techniques of its protagonists
Sloupová, Andrea ; Havránek, Vít (referee) ; Klimešová, Marie (advisor)
The study analyses situation on Czech, formerly Czechoslovak, art scene during 70's and 80's of the twentieth century in context of the progress of kinetism. It addresses the question whether and how the kinetism as a synthesis of visual arts, architecture, theater, film and music but also science and technology has been promoted after the demise of the group of the same name. The study is divided into the three basic parts. After introducing the problem by attempt to delimit the kinetism on conceptual and temporal basis the first part follows the initial, rather sporadic, attempts of capturing the motion in the visual arts in a period of the first half of twentieth century. The substantial focus of this part is on the work of Zdenek Pesanek. The second part provides a brief insight by comparison and references into the aggradizement period of international kinetism that occurred in the 50s and through to 70s. In parallel with movement in the West it follows two particular groupments of kinetists in the Eastern block - the Muscovite group called Dvizhenie and the Prague's group Synthesis. The last, essential part of the study concentrates on several Czech personalities from 70s and 80s whose approaches of handling the topic represent various types of kinetism - luminodynamism and luminodynamic environment,...

Intergenerational opinions on euthanasia
EXNEROVÁ, Jitka
I have chosen the topic of euthanasia for my bachelor´s thesis. I find the topic fairly problematic and it is frequently discussed in the media as well. On the other hand, there is palliative medicine which is rarely spoken about. In my thesis I wanted to highlight the possibilities of palliative care which seem to be neglected in our society and to underline possible risks of euthanasia. Moreover, I wanted to find out which factors influence the opinions on euthanasia in individual age groups. I was interested in the way people look upon euthanasia and palliative care. The thesis includes a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with euthanasia, palliative care, pain, suffering, dying and death. In the practical part there are examples of abbreviated dialogues connected with this topic. In order to gain necessary information I have chosen the method of qualitative research and that of a narrative and semicontrolled dialogue. All the dialogues were recorded on a dictaphone with the consent o feach addressed person and then transferred into written form. They were abbreviated and preserved in colloquial language form for the sake of their authenticity. Some people wanted me to ask them questions. I have found out that palliative care still presents an unknown quantity for most people and the word hospice makes them feel scared, they have distorted ideas. On the contrary, they are pretty familiar with the word euthanasia, almost all of them have come across it and know what it is about. I have decided on four age categories. I have addressed at least one woman and one man from each category to be able to hear the opinion of both sexes. Respondents were chosen by chance. During the research I have found out that the intergenerational opinions on euthanasia are becoming less contradictious. I suppose that the goals of my thesis have been reached. Taking the information which has been found out into consideration it would be of great benefit if the media and the responsible organisations would provide our society with more information about the possibilities of palliative care.

On the contrary are given practical examples of disrespect towards dead bodies (corpse, corpse leftovers and organs robbery, necrophilia, disputable human behavior in the hospitals and in undertaking services). Finally, teological aspects of the human body, having piety source in the God and in His creation, incarnation and in the Jesus Crist redemption are discussed. Situation of women in the high politics at the end of the 1960s and their attitudes towards the Soviet occupation of the ČSSR
Kočišková, Jana ; Kocian, Jiří (advisor) ; Pernes, Jiří (referee)
The construed thesis consists of two parts. The first part contains an introduction to the history of the women's political participation in Czechoslovakia from the from the beginning of the Czechoslovak republic to the end of the 1960's and a chapter following on relation of communism and woman question in theory (communist ideology) and in the everyday practice. The centre of the thesis lies in its second part which deals with the situation and position of women in the public and political offices at the end of the 1960's. It is focusing principally on women in the high political offices in 1968: on the politicians working at the National Assembly, Central Commitee of the Communist Party of the Czechoslovakia and in the government. The main direction of the thesis is the attitudes of women to the august occupation of the Czechoslovakia 1968 by the troops of the Warsaw Treaty and their activity in those days. It follows also their previous careers and political activism and the implications of their august activity for their further careers and political path. The construed thesis tries to fill the gap in the scientific research and literature addressing this historical period by extension of the view with the roles of women in the high politics in this key period of our history. The theme of the thesis is...

Possibilities of CPM solution in banking sector
Janata, Pavel ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Matuštík, Ondřej (referee)
This thesis addresses issues of measuring and managing the performance of commercial bank institutions by means of a system called Corporate Performance Management (CPM). The theoretical part of this work is devoted to introduction of banking industry and methods of performance measurement in commercial banks. It introduces a general concept and key components of CPM supported by Business Intelligence technology. In the practical part of this work there is introduced the design of two concrete CPM solutions which are being currently built in banks -- KPI processing and interest margin calculation. The main thesis contribution to the existing literature is a creation of complex material about relevant aspects of implementation CPM solutions in data warehouses of commercial banks and creation the conceptual design of a concrete solution.

Zvláštnosti profesní etikety a obchodního protokolu Francie
Veselá, Jana ; Gullová, Soňa (advisor) ; Müllerová, Františka (referee)
This theses describes specialities of professional etiquette and business protocol in France. The aim of this theses is to provide comlete view of rules of behaviour in business relations with French business partners primarily because of the fact that France has become, during last 15 years, an importat business partner of the Czech Republic. Education of children of foreing nationalities at Czech schools
Rabe, Nina ; Váňová, Miroslava (referee) ; Mazáčová, Nataša (advisor)
In the theoretical part of my thesis I address the issue of minorities and the members of minorities and their specific educational needs. I share the experience I gained at the international school, Riverside School, where I performed my practical teaching and taught for a further semester. I draw upon the variety of experiences of teachers and pupils. I describe the situation regarding the education of foreign children in the Czech Republic and at the end of the theoretical part I outline the situation in the United States of America. In the empirical part I attempt to determine by means of a questionnaire survey to what extent teachers and schools are prepared for their work with foreigners, whether they have a support system and whether they consider the phenomenon of foreign children at Czech schools to be a problem. In the end I compare the situation at Czech schools with the situation at schools in the USA.

Selection of an accounting information system to a company
Schlesinger, Karel ; Velechovská, Lenka (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis describes the possibilities the companies have when deciding to purchase an accounting information system. The purchase of so-called 'box' software, acquisition of supplier-adjusted software, as well as the option of having the solution customised for the particular needs of a given company are discussed. The work also deals with the lease of the accounting software through ASP and the accounting outsourcing to an external company. Furthermore, the recommended procedure which should be followed by the firms in the course of the software selection is suggested, including the description of functions and features of accounting software, divided into several basic areas that need to be addressed. Companies of various sizes operating in the Czech Republic were asked questions by means of a questionnaire related to the accounting information system. The collected answers and the drawn conclusions are analysed in the practical part of the thesis.
