The possibilities of assessment of free fatty acids in food matrix
Brožová, Michaela ; Hrstka, Miroslav (referee) ; Vítová, Eva (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis has a research character and deals with the possibilities of determination of fatty acids in foodstuffs, mainly focused on dairy products. It starts by overview of general characteristics of lipids and fatty acids. The crucial part of thesis represents summary of the methods, which can be used for determination of fatty acids. A special chapter is devoted to determination of free fatty acids. The isolation of lipids/fatty acids from sample matrix is necessary before the determination itself, classic solvent extraction in various applications or several new extraction techniques, e.g. solid phase extraction or supercritical fluid extraction, can be used for this purpose. After the separation of individual lipid fractions, for which the solid phase extraction and/or thin layer chromatography are usually used in practice, the transformation of fatty acids to derivatives, which are suitable for following analytical determination, is often necessary. Gas chromatography with the flame-ionization or mass selective detection is most often used for determination and therefore fatty acids are converted to substantially more volatile methyl esters. In some special cases high performance liquid chromatography and/or thin layer chromatography can be used.

PROSAIC TEXT HIS DRAMATIZATION
Olšovský, Lumír ; Sílová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Kudláčková, Jana (referee)
In my bachelor thesis I am comparing five dramatic texts coming from the same artwork: novella Carmen written by French prose-writer Prosper Mérimée.At the beginning I am mentioning author?s brief curriculum vitae and the circumstances connected with the birth of this novella. Following paragraph is about origin of the opera Carmen by Georges Bizet which made the story about the gipsy temptress known all over the world. Further I am introducing the other authors who inspired by this story made other dramatizations or adaptations (ballet, movie, musical). The subjects of the following comparison are libretto of opera Carmen (authors Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy), drama Carmen by Gustav Skála, libretto of the musical Carmen/Viva Amor! by Egon Kulhánek, Adam Novák, Norman Allen, Jack Murphy), inscenation Carmencita by Tereza Ludvíková and my own dramatization Don José!.I am considering a structure of the artwork, description of the characters, motives and dramatic situation of the text in comparison with its literary pattern. I am studying the mechanism of changing from the literary work into the dramatic one and crucial differences between components of the artwork: sentence ? rejoinder, information ? action, person ? character. At the end I am describing my own procedure while making the dramatization applied.

Statické charakteristiky konstrukčních částí řiditelného termoelastického aktuátoru
Doležel, Ivo ; Kotlan, V. ; Ulrych, B.
The paper deals with one of the basic conditions of practical employment of finely controllable thermoelastic actuators – problems of the static characteristics of its individual structural parts. It contains the formulation of the principle of such thermoelastic actuators, description of its components (a dilatation element heated by induction, auxiliary electromagnetic actuators, and self-locking friction clutches) and their mathematical models. Briefly discussed are also their corresponding computer models making use of the finite element method. The crucial point of the work consists in the presentation of the results – static characteristics of the considered structural parts of the controlled thermoelastic actuators.

A comparison of copyright protection of authors and performing artists
Martinka, Marek ; Křesťanová, Veronika (advisor) ; Holcová, Irena (referee)
A comparison of copyright protection of authors and performing artists The aim of this thesis is to compare the legal regulation of the authors' rights in their works and the performing artists' rights in their performances as it arises from the Czech Copyright Act. I have chosen this topic because it requires profound study of the Copyright Act, good understanding of most of its provisions and their analysis. In my opinion, this kind of research could be very useful in my upcoming profession. Besides it seems to be quiet an actual theme, as for example the term of protection of these rights is largely discussed of late. The structure of this paper is following. The first three chapters are introducing the main characteristics of the authors' and performing artists' rights, their development and the main sources. Other chapters are dealing with the comparison of the protection itself. I examine the aspects I consider to be crucial. It is the subject of the rights, the object, moral and economic rights, the criterions of the protection, the contractual and non-contractual obligations and the term of protection. Two final chapters are focused on the collective management and the infringement of copyright. It can be concluded that the protection of the performing artists' rights is a bit weaker. It is...

Companies in private international law
Hubinský, Igor ; Brodec, Jan (advisor) ; Dobiáš, Petr (referee)
60 Resume (Corporations in Private International Law) Free cross-border movement of companies became a new challenge for the European Law in last 30 years and surely changed the old theorems of private international law, concerning the companies at least. Although it is exactly the companies who are the most important factor shaping the European economy, legislature has not paid much attention and did little to facilitate their cross-border transfer. Under those circumstances, it has been the European Court of Justice (today Court of Justice of European Union) who has played the crucial role in interpreting the rights the European citizens under the Treaty should enjoy. But performing this enormously difficult task and under the scrutiny of European legal commentators it often got criticism, mostly for the inconsistency in his approach to construction of articles regarding the freedom of establishment. In my work I focused on the most relevant cases and attempted to point out underlying arguments in Court's reasoning. I tried not to set its judicature in debate over traditional issues regarding connecting factors since I think that question of freedom of establishment in European context should move to slightly different area of law. Nevertheless few pages of my work are devoted to these issues, where I...

A dream deferred: continuities in African American autobiographies
Bosničová, Nina ; Ulmanová, Hana (advisor) ; Procházka, Martin (referee) ; Jařab, Josef (referee)
As a great number of recent scholarly publications discussing the given topic shows, the genre of autobiography provides a fruitful field for literary research and analysis. In part, this springs from the genre's rather ambiguous nature and blurred boundaries. A lot of autobiographies are claimed to interweave elements of fact and fiction and to stand on the verge between literary works and cultural, or historiographical, documents. Since autobiographies are, for the most part, understood as accounts of real life and authentic experience, rather than imagination, they are thought to be particularly efficient in persuading the reader to believe the author/narrator, accept the author's/narrator's point of view and his/her perception of the world. This gives them, in addition to other things, a strong potential to serve as tools in the political struggles of various kinds. This statement is especially true of the African American autobiography. Black autobiography, from its very first specimen, namely the slave narrative, has played a central role in the literary tradition of African Americans. It has played a crucial part in their attempt to survive and fight racism, sexism and "classism" frequently oriented against them in the American society. Being conscious of the social impact of the printed word, many...

The influence of Central European modernity on Serbian postmodern literature
Janečková, Tereza ; Vlainić, Sandra (referee) ; Nedvědová, Milada (advisor)
The submitted work engages into the relationship between Central European literature and Serbian postmodern literature. Initially, the work defines the character of Central European modern fiction on the ground of its West European literary predecessors. It points out following features of Central European modern fiction: fragmentation of the narrative; dissapearance of existing world, which has guranteed solid values; existence of a parallel "fiction world", which gradually absorbs its protagonist, and the emphasis on sin. The first part of the work is accompanied by a brief outline of Serbian modern and avant-gard literature. The second part of the dissertation gives a theoretical definition of postmodern literature. After a short characteristics of two crucial Serbain postmodernists: Milorad Pavić and Dragan Velikić, the work intends to look for characteristic modern themes and various ways in which they are applied. Some themes accentuated by Central European authors (such as the existence of the paralel "fiction world") are to be found in the work of Velikić as well as Pavić. Some modern Central European themes are completely absent in thein novels. Second part of the book also gives a short characteristic of the post-modern literature in other Balkan countries such as Bulgaria or Croatia.
