Czech-Israeli trade relations

The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse the business relations between the Czech Republic and Israel, and to suggest other possible perspectives of mutual cooperation. This thesis is devoted to both basic characteristics of Israel in terms of geographic, demographic and political, and to the current state of the Israeli economy. It provides information on history of mutual relations, their legal framework and development of the Czech-Israeli trade. The great emphasis is placed on tourism. One part of this thesis is processed as a questionnaire survey among Czech companies generally and the performance of the Czech company Ammann Czech Republic, a.s., which is one of the successful exporters to the Israeli market. The final part describes Czech institutions that support development of the Czech-Israeli relations, and the bilateral programme GESHER/MOST. The activities of these institutions are evaluated and then further opportunities of deeper cooperation are suggested.

KISS: Interpreter's strategy during the interpreting into the mother tongue and into the B language

This thesis focuses on the topic of the KISS strategy ("Keep it short and simple") as a hypothetical ideal solution for simultaneous interpreting into the active language. The purpose of this theoretical and empirical study is to describe the issue of interpreting into the active language (B language) and the strategies used in simultaneous interpreting, with emphasis on the KISS strategy. The paper is divided into two parts: theoretical part and empirical part. In the theoretical part, we set up the working hypothesis that we will confirm or disprove in the empirical part. We suppose that the KISS strategy is the ideal and predominant mechanism used for interpreting into the B language. The "retour" or interpretation into the active foreign language presents one of the most discussed topics on the field of interpretation theory. For a long time, Western Europe has been under the influence of the Interpretive Theory of Translation based at the ESIT in Paris. The Interpretive Theory of Translation was followed by many theoreticians and practicians who considered the "retour" to be a non-standard or even inadmissible direction of interpreting. The situation changed after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the onset of the globalization, and the interpretation into the B language has gradually become an everyday...

Organization structure and activity of Probacy and Mediacy of Czech Republic in Prague with focus on activity of section Parole

In my bachelor work I'm engaged in questions regarding the probacy service and especially in subject of parole. In the work the are discussed particular parts of the service, however the main emphasis is placed on parole. The important part is also about historical roots, thanks to which we were able to reach the todays levels. And of course the need to move forward, educate and improve current systems. For the practital part of my work I have put together casuistries, which I met during my practice in Prague probacy centre. For each casuistry I'm trying to show its specifity and I'm thing over how they were figured out by the court and how the resulst have influented the clients future life. In my work I'm lininig out the part of the social worker in this sector and his role to improve the whole system. It is importnant to point out the connection with law, that means that working for probacy service is asking high profession demands. It is necessary to be well acquainted with the legal system and be professional in comunication with the client. However the most important role is to make the clients life easier in their hard times and help them to better and upstanding life.

Design and implementation of the Business Architecture in the segment of providing the real-estate services

In the 21st century is still more and more emphasis laid on the phenomenon of Business Process Management. In a great number of corporations it plays the key role, because it makes the overall performance of the organization more effective and it is able to react flexibly in the rapidly changing environment. The main purpose of this graduation thesis is to get the reader to know the meaning of the notion "business architecture -- its structure and roles in the process management. The main task is to design business architecture of the specific field of business and try to implement it in the real and existent or emerging company subjects, offering the real-estate services. As a result of this, we prove the usefulness of the process management and business architecture as a key factor of reaching the effectivity in dynamic, rapidly changing and competitive environment. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part provides us with methodical data and the practical part with the design of business architecture of a subject, actively operating in the real-estate market. Graphical figures are also the part of the thesis using CABE tool ProVision by Metastorm Corporation.

The Preparation of Young People from Childrens Homes for an Independent Life. The Role of the State and theNon-Governmental Organizations in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region.

This master's thesis deals with the broad issue of the preparation of young people from children's homes for their independent life, with a special emphasis on Prague and the central-Bohemian region. The theoretical part of the thesis studies the activities and competence of the relevant state institutions as compared to NGOs, in particular Dům Naděje in Vršovice, which are approached in the empirical part, in oder to define the role of the state and civil sector in this process.

The behavior of stock rates in view of behavioral finance

Thesis deals with analysis and interpretation of movements of share rates in the view of behavioral finance. It examines how investor psychology, as one man, and the characteristics of the crowd and their influence on the behavior of the markets. This work represents some of the theoretical concepts of behavioral finance, which are contrary to the postulates of the theory of efficient markets, as well as empirical evidence on market anomalies that serve as the basis of arguments advocates of behavioral finance. The theoretical parts are dismembered some of the main influences acting on the psychology of investors, with a strong emphasis on the scarcity of arbitration, and some selected problems of the theory. In the practical part in the three experiments proven results confirming the interpretation of behavioral finance.

Globalisation from the view of information technology and its influence on human mind

Globalisation is a natural process in the evolution of human society and greatly influences our everyday reality. Besides advantages and new possibilities that globalisation brings, it also puts new requirements on people. These are apparent for example in the area of information technologies, which are a symbol of linkage of the modern world. Problems with coping with new technologies or their abusing can cause serious complications to people living in the era of globalisation. This work is divided into a theoretical and practical part. In the first part it provides an overall insight into the issue of globalisation and its history with an emphasis on the role and consequences of information technologies. The main areas of our interest that are studied in more detail are technostress and Internet addiction. The practical part contains a research project focussed on technostress and Internet addiction. Our research was carried out with 50 respondents, 48 of which were university students. Internet addiction was discovered in 8% of respondents, the risks of technostress were shown to be low. We discussed our results with regards to the respondent's age, education, gender and time spent on Internet per week.

German Foundation Sector. Overview and Analysis with an Emphasis on Community Foundations

The aim of this theses is to show a comprehensive picture of German foundation sector with a focus on historical development as well as the current trends and the latest expert discussions. Another goal is to analyse relatively young German concept of community foundation as one of the examples of new ways of foundation work and come up with recommendations for their Czech counterparts. As an introduction serves an analyses of foundations as one of the main pillars of German non-profit sector, an assessement of their role in public and theoretic discourse and a brief discussion of their historical development. Furthermore, the reader will learn about the distinctions between different types of foundations according to different criteria, their legal environment with the focus on the reforms of non-profit sector laws and an empirical profile of German foundations. Special attention is payed to the concept of community foundations. The conclusion comprises the facts and presents recommendations for Czech foundations sector.

Sociologic view of old-age as a life period

The objective of the thesis is to provide an outline of risk factors and situations that may occur in old age but also to show possible ways that may lead to prevention or reduction of similar undesirable features. These intentions are developed on studies of scientific literature and internet sources and further interlined by ascertained empirical data of selected research reports oriented on seniors in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into five basic thematic parts. The first part has more general character - it introduces the definitions of fundamental features of this thesis, old age and aging. The second part provides historical outline of development of science that deals with this matter, including emphasis on the origin of gerontosociology as a specific sociologie discipline. The remaining three parts create the basis ofthis thesis and are devoted to concrete aspects related to old age. It deals especially with demographic factors and their impact on age stratification ofCzech society, further social psychologicallevel that has a significant role in the process of preparation and adaptation to old age and eventually social aspects that focus especially on possibilities and impediments ofkeeping relations of seniors with social environment.
