The Professional Czech Music Company (A String Quartet)

The main topic of this dissertation is professional Czech music ensembles, namely string quartets. The work deals shortly with the development of Czech string tradition. Firstly, it examines music and repertoire of classicism, which was the period when the quartet music appeared for the first time and started to develop gradually. It introduces the first teachers of chamber music of conservatoires in both Prague and Brno, and their pupils who spread further this tradition. Moreover, the work tries to portray the differences between the situations in the two biggest centres, Prague and Brno. This work presents also the music life o f 1900, and it predominantly provides some information on the music organisations at that time: Union for Chamber Music, Czech Association for Chamber Music or Juvenile Club. The most important ensembles of the first half of the twentieth century are introduced; among the discussed ones is The Czech Quartet, then The SevCikovo-Lhotskéf The Heroldovo, The Ondrickovo and The Zikovo Quartet. This thesis deals with the position of regional foods in a selected sample of retail chains operating in the Brno- city and Brno- rural areas. The theoretical part is devoted to selected circuits that relate to the issue of agrarian sector and its formation in the conditions of contemporary agribusiness . Part of this section is to introduce the basic characteristics and concepts related to the functioning of the retail market in the Czech Republic. Is a crucial element in defining the concept of regional food and a brief statement of marketing techniques necessary to prepare the practical part. Its content is the realization of primary research, according to the chosen methodology and reporting of results , based on which it will be possible to evaluate the status of regional food store chains.

V životě každého člověka se vyskytne mnoho cest, kterými se může dát. Každý z nás si vybírá svou cestu, pro sebe nejschůdnější, podle svého naturelu a v kontextu nastávajících životních situací, a také podle toho, jací lidé nás obklopují. Všichni máme rodiče, příbuzné, přátele, kamarády, známé, spolužáky, spolupracovníky, idoly, vzory, učitele... Tito lidé nás zároveň nějakým způsobem ovlivňují. Setkávání snimi nás mění, ale určitě mění i ty druhé. Ovlivňujeme se tedy navzájem. Každý člověk je naprosto neopakovatelná osobnost, ke které nikde na světě neexistuje identický duplikát. Na svých cestách tedy můžeme potkat mnoho lidí a máme tu jedinečnou možnost se od sebe navzájem mnohému naučit. Jak už jsem se zmínila, setkání s lidmi nás mění. Marketing strategy of a chosen travel trade company

The diploma thesis "Marketing strategy of a chosen travel trade company" deals with the situation in a spa hotel Royal. The aim of the diploma thesis is to elaborate the situation analysis of the hotel, to describe and evaluate the contemporary marketing strategy and to make suggestions for the further strategy improvement. The diploma thesis is divided into two main parts -- theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is focused on important definitions of marketing strategy and on the procedures needed for the right chosen marketing strategy. The practical part deals with the current situation in the spa hotel Royal. It includes the elaboration of situation analysis, the description of contemporary marketing strategy including marketing mix and the suggestions for further improvement and development.

Diploma thesis is directed at art of 20th and beginning of 21st century and its application in art in primary school teaching. It is focused on transformation of art conceptions in all educational programmes from 1990. In practical part of thesis are probed pupils' attitudes to modern and postmodern art by empirical methods. According to favoured tendencies was designed a didactic project.

Author's posture of Houellebecq

This thesis focuses on the characteristic of the author's posture of Michel Houllebecq, a contemporary French author. The theoretical part of the thesis outlines the development of the author's concept during the 20th century and characterizes the author's posture in views of the Swiss literature critic Jérôme Meizoz, whose studies the thesis is based on. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to Michel Houllebecq's life and his present literature career. It gradually introduces his works together with receptions they received by the public. The description of the author's image follows. The final part comprises of the analysis of Houllebecq's work discursive ethos, which is the analysis of the author's poetics and style. The influence of those personalities who most affected author's style and his artistic pose as a whole is also emphasized. The thesis is complemented with a complete list of works by Michel Houllebecq and an illustrative photographic annex.

Metrics Model In Engigeering Company And Its Initial Implementation in Business Intelligence tools

This thesis deals with possibilities of strategic measurement of performance in Czech industrial firm and application of distinguished metrics using Business Intelligence tools. In particular it is a firm called Linde Pohony s.r.o. that produces axes and half axes for forklifts. This thesis is based on contemporary information about strategic performance management and its tools. The main aim of this thesis is to demonstrate possibilities of using Business Intelligence in order to measure key performance metrics. Microsoft's SQL Server 2005 with its Analysis and Integration services are used to prove it. It was necessary to create model of metrics at first. First part of the thesis deals with several ways and methods how to measure firm's performance. Then a proper method to measure performance is chosen. In following chapters ways how Business Intelligence tools can contribute to industrial firms are discussed. Then the real implementation of few metrics is described following with an outline of firm's software architecture. Main contribution of this thesis is particularly in demonstrating power of Business Intelligence tools when they are used along with Balanced Scorecard methodics in small or medium sized Czech industrial firm. Also Linde Pohony s.r.o. can profit from this work -- considering that many administrative tasks are much easier and faster and management has much better view into their firm. Questions of the Economic Usage of Industrial Architecture Monuments

The subject of this thesis is an analysis of the economic usage of Prague's former industrial buildings as centers for contemporary art. The theoretical part of this thesis will focus on the delimitation of the term Brownfield and the characteristics of it. Further, the Czech Republic's approach to industrial heritage preservation will be reviewed and compared to approaches in a few chosen foreign countries. As well, this thesis contains a theoretical approach to the construction of centers for contemporary art in former industrial buildings in which the criteria for their classification will be established. Two Prague art centers, DOX and Meet Factory, will be analyzed in the practical part of this thesis. This thesis will review approaches to the reconversion of former industrial buildings and their new usage by cultural institutions. The aim of this thesis is to describe concrete institutions and to illustrate the achievement for the local community in using the buildings.

Design of Department Stores by Růžena Žertová. The objective of the bachelor thesis is to introduce buildings of department stores designed by Růžena Žertová, constructed in the 1960s to the 1970s. The projects by this architect markedly surpassed the standard of contemporary food-processing-industry buildings. This thesis focuses on her work in Košice, Ústí n. L., and Pardubice.

Male and Female Identity in Contemporary Society Focusing on the Labor Market

The aim of the master's thesis is to describe male and female identity in today's society. The first chapter includes basic expressions connected with key terms gender and gender stereotypes. This thesis is focusing on equality of genders and the enshrinement of equality rights in law. This thesis also includes the analysis of the current status of women in the European Union based on data from the Eurobarometer and the Czech Statistical Office survey. The aim of the graduation thesis is to analyse the perception of men and women in today's society, to determine how strongly are stereotypical perceptions rooted in society, how is perceived the equality of men and women in labour market and how opinions on this issue differ among Czech Republic citizens and among European Union citizens.
