Noise map in GIS
Awadová, Thuraya ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create a noise map in a geographic information system. First of all, physical features of sound and the basics concerning the spatial, physiological and atmospheric acoustics domain will be introduced. Furthermore, we will analyse noise and its possible influence on the health of people. Substantial part of this thesis will be devoted to the methodology of noise measurement in urban agglomerations and to the issue of creating noise maps. The methodology of noise measurement in a particular area will be determined on the basis of the theoretical background. Geographic information system ArcView 9.2 from the ARCDATA firm (Ltd.) will be used for creating the noise map. The final noise map will be compared to the current hygienic limits. For comparison reasons an analysis of noise map using software CadnaA, which is used in professional analysis of noise studies, will be included in this thesis too.

Monitoring the effect of atorvastatin on the expression of endoglin / / and endothelial NO synthase (eNOS) in mouse model of atherosclerosis
Uhlárová, Iva ; Nachtigal, Petr (advisor) ; Štaud, František (referee)
Atherosclerosis, or sclerosis of arteries, is a degenerative disease of arteries. Sometimes it is called "the disease of 20th century". ApoE/LDL - receptor double knockout mice represent a new animal model for study of atherogenesis, which is characterized by severe hyperlipidaemia and atherosclerosis. Statins (or competitive inhibitors 3-hydroxyl-3-methyl-glutaryl-coenzym A-reductase) currently belong to the most efficient and the most useful hypolipidemic drugs for all over the world. They decrease mainly levels of total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol. The aim of this thesis was to describe the expression of endoglin in atherosclerotic plaques in apoE/LDL-receptor deficient mice. Moreover we wanted to determine endoglin colocalization with eNOS and the effect of atorvastatin treatment on the expression of both molecules. ApoE/LDLR-deficient mice on were subdivided into 2 groups. The control group of animals was fed with the western type diet. The same atherogenic diet was used in ATV group, where atorvastatin was added to the atherogenic diet at the dosage of 100 mg/kg per day. The results of this thesis confirmed the expression of endoglin in atherosclerotic lesions in ApoE/LDLR-deficient mice. The expression of endoglin was located on the aortic vascular endothelium and in other smaller...

Energy meter with PLC communication
Szalbot, Michal ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
Our thesis is about development of equipment, which combine two technology. First technology is wattmeter which is used to energy measurement and second is Power line communication. Wattmeter needs two variables for measurement, voltage and current. Voltage measurement is less difficult than measurement of current. Voltage can be reduce and measured by A/D converter. Current has to be transform to voltage and than can be measured same way. To do that we use current transformer. Than we design program for the microcontroller, involvement and PCB. Wattmeter is connect to PLC modem which has been chosen. Fusing this two technology we create wattmeter network. Next step was program which is used to network control and data collecting. This data are used to create charts in web application.

Bokůvka, Tomáš ; Jeřábek, Jan (referee) ; Polák, Josef (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the design, analysis and realization of new oscillator and generator circuits using electronically adjustable active elements. In the opening discussion the aspects of distribution, proposal, properties and oscillation conditions of generators and oscillators are theoretically described. Next, there are presented some electronically adjustable active elements which appear to be suitable for construction of the oscillators and generators. This covers in particular the Operational Transconductance Amplifier OTA, Voltage Control Amplifier VCA and Digitally Adjustable Current Amplifier DACA. Using these elements the six oscillators and two functional generators are presented. Simulation results and design methods are included. Next part is focused on practical realization and measurement. At the end of the thesis the measurement and simulation results are discussed and compared.

Application possibilities of controllable current amplifier
Bradáč, Josef ; Koton, Jaroslav (referee) ; Jeřábek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the application using digitally controlled current amplifiers DACA (Digitally Adjustable Current Amplifer), which was developed at the Department of Telecommunications FEEC in cooperation with ON Semiconductor in 2010. In introduction is decribed the topic of active filters and oscillators. Farther active current components, besides DACA are described current conveyor UCC (Universal Current Conveyor), current amplifier DO-CF (Dual-Output Current Follower), MO-CF (Multiple-Output Current Follower) and FD-CF (Fully Diferential Current Follower) and operational transconductant amplifier BOTA (Balanced-Output Operational Transconductance Amplifer) and MOTA (Multiple-Output Operational Transconductance Amplifier). The following is a compilation of theories circuits using signal flow graphs, which are designed using a simulated filter circuits to control the cutoff frequency or the quality factor. Then design and simulation with auxiliary oscillator circuit AGC for controlling the oscillation frequency. Simulations are conducted with ideal models and with models that include some real properties. The conclusion of this work is devoted to the printed circuit board design for a selected filter circuit realization and measurement.

Fast Beam Current Change Monitor for the LHC
Král, Jan ; Kovalsky, Jan (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
Striktní nároky na systémy ochrany a zabezpečení LHC vyžadují vylepšené metody detekce rychlých ztrát částicového svazku. Rychlý proudový transformátor (FBCT) je měřicí přístroj poskytující informaci o intenzitě shluků urychlovaných částic. Tato diplomová práce popisuje vývoj nového systému ochrany LHC založeného na měření signálu FBCT. Tento systém, monitor rychlých proudových změn částicového svazku (FBCCM), měří signál FBCT v úzkém frekvenčním pásmu a počítá časovou derivaci okamžité amplitudy tohoto signálu.

Structure, function and importace of BRCA 1protein
Hojný, Jan ; Falk, Martin (referee) ; Kleibl, Zdeněk (advisor)
Studies of factors contributed to the development of hereditary breast and ovary cancers lead to the discovery of Breast Cancer 1 gene (BRCA1). The protein product of this tumor suppressor gene is nuclear phosphoprotein that plays a critical role in DNA repair and it is required for genome integrity control. The BRCA1 protein is the key component for correct assembly of reparation complexes formed in sites of DNA double strand breaks. Furthermore, BRCA1 protein is implicated in regulation of cell cycle checkpoints and it is also involved in regulation of gene expression in response to DNA damage. These activities suggest that BRCA1 protein plays a crucial role in orchestration of intracellular response to genotoxic DNA damage. Loss of BRCA1 functions leads to the DNA-damage repair mechanisms failure resulting in genomic instability and a tolerance of genomic alterations in affected cells. The genomic instability is the initial step toward early malignant transformation of cells lacking BRCA1 proteins. The aim of this work is to summarize the information about structure, functions known and the importance of BRCA1 protein with respect to the current discoveries enabling elucidation of versatile BRCA1-containing multiprotein complexes in which BRCA1 protein acts as the multiplatform interacting...

HOUSE ON THE EDGE – Valašské Meziříčí, Sokolská Street
Adamec, Karel ; Uřídilová, Marcela (referee) ; Hybská, Bohumila (advisor)
Site lies on the border of two different worlds, in every sense. On the south side panel covers housing, which is dominated by residential building with eight floors. The whole estate has a classic "prefabricated" character - high impersonal monoblocks, including the free space that is used mainly for parking to local residents. The settlement grew in the 60 Valasske Mezirici The last century in places the original buildings. At least the historic center, which in this case is that the next world, with more or less of this "renewal" withstood and stayed here preserved the original area. Much of the historical buildings here and gone and the edges of the center contain many places where he's an empty space in a number of historic buildings. From this problem arose the concept of the new proposed house. Because the differences between the two places are drastic, it responds to the concept of 'closure to polosoukromého courtyard ", which is accessible from both sides of the passages, so not open to any environment, but even before it does not close completely. The building responds to the diversity of both the environment and create a transition between them. The first problem is the scale, it was necessary to build on the gable wall of the historic house and Mikyšková along with copying the shape of compact street line to complete the installation of street. The main function of the building is housing, particularly because the function of housing is lost from the historical center, as well as in other cities. Vnitroblokový character of the house allows its residents to create their own community that can see each other and live in the courtyard of the house and around the world will not have much effect on their privacy or comfort. The northern part of the building with spacious balconies opening to the courtyard and allows both people to spend their leisure time, it also serves as the summer sun shading. At ground floor level balcony creates a console arcade board, which can serve any of the rest of the population. The rest of the building facade is characterized by a simple "dotted with windows having movable shading panels. These are used primarily for shade or sun lamps at night, or simply need to be close to the outside world. One of the requirements of the proposal was to retain the existing 80 parking places on the current car park and parking add them to the object itself. The problem is solved by means of underground garage accessible from the south side of the building.

Dvořák, Jan ; Vrba, Kamil (referee) ; Jeřábek, Jan (advisor)
The master thesis deals with designs of the single-ended and the fully-differential secondorder frequency filters with adjustable parameters. This filters operate in the current mode where main element is the current amplifier DACA (Digitally Adjustable Current Amplifier). The first part describes basic behaviour of frequency filters and distribution according to filter funcion, used parts and structure. The second part of thesis describes the design of the frequency filters by the M-C signal-flow graphs and the transformating single-ended structures to the fully-differential forms. The next part deals with properties of the active elements and their simulation models. The following part describe six circuits of the frequency filters with adjustable parameters and their simulations. Four simulation models with different properties were used for simulating of the DACA in the each circuits. The last part deals with the practical design and measurement of the selected frequency filters.
