Multilingual Compensatory Strategies of Czech Native Speakers in English
Pokorná, Vítězslava ; Matuchová, Klára (advisor) ; Dvořák, Bohuslav (referee)
The proposed thesis treats the topic of multilingual language acquisition and the occurring language interference. It aims to demonstrate the negative language transfer by the means of the results of a field research. The theoretical part introduces and discusses relevant topics, such as language learning, language processing, bilingualism and multilingualism. Furthermore, it focuses on the character of language transfer itself. In the practical part, two hypotheses are presented, specifically "the interference of the dominant foreign language is considerably higher than the interference of the other language, i.e. L3" and "passive interference reaches a higher degree than the active one". Eventually, the results interpretation is presented and both the hypotheses are verified.

Analysis and models of Czech balance of trade
Čása, Tomáš ; Benáček, Vladimír (advisor) ; Semerák, Vilém (referee)
The thesis starts with the identification of balance of trade within the general theoretical framework of the balance of payments. In the environment of the transition economy, balance of trade has especially large influence on the external balance and we try to point out that trade flows should always be evaluated in this broader perspective. Factors that influenced the creation of positive trade balance in the 2000-2005 period are summed up and discussed in the next part. Empirical verification of great impact of income and price elasticities on the Czech trade balance is presented using simple OLS framework and data for trade flows with EU. Second aim of the thesis is to explore more closely the microeconomic supply-side-based approach to trade balance. Analysis of sectoral structure of the trade balance using the classical comparative advantage concept as the main determining factor is presented. We attempt to verify that the exchange of goods in manufacturing industry is carried out at least to some degree in accordance with this classical theory. We also use analytical method by calculating different revealed comparative advantage indices for disaggregated manufacturing industries as a demonstration of a more dynamic and heterogenous approach to sectoral competitiveness. Processing of localization data and its accuracy
Návara, Marek ; Baránek, Radek (referee) ; Jílek, Tomáš (advisor)
This work is focused on correction of localization data, relative to them location of the sensor on robot. Also solves the conversion between coordinate systems WGS-84, ETRS-89 and local coordinate system. For localization data are designed error characteristics and their transformation. These points have been implemented in C#. Classes were firstly developer for single-axis sensors and they are base for multi-axis sensors. The implementation has been tested on simulated data and verified in the experiment with the robot envMap. Experiment results show that the correction is implemented properly and can be further used. Error characteristics listed in the work characterize the measurement uncertainty of location data and can be used in further processing.

Intersections of musical and foreign-language skills in preschool children (from the perspective of contemporary changes in education)
Píclová, Olga ; Váňová, Hana (referee) ; Kodejška, Miloš (advisor)
The Thesis is a continuation of the bachelor thesis "Acquisition of foreign-language experience through the integration of musical activities in preschool children." It focuses on language propaedeutic of children in kindergartens. The obtaining of foreign language skills in preschool age has the form of integrated education with corresponding psychological aspects. The Thesis characterizes psychology of training of obtaining foreign language skills of preschool children. It verifies experimentally the interconnection of musical and foreign language skills. It will be a beneficial material for pedagogic use in kindergartens.

PPP usage in the transport sector : theory vs. experience
Klaus, Marek ; Mertlík, Pavel (referee) ; Hájek, Filip (advisor)
The main goal of the thesis is to create Critical Success Factors (in other words factors, that are essential to achieve successful project) for the Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) projects in the sector of transport. For this purpose, the first part of the thesis is considering general theory, main characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of this alternative model of public infrastructure implementation. Following practical part is studying opportunities and risks of PPP project in the transport sector in term of experience and conclusions based on case study of a successful PPP project. The final part of thesis is constructing the Critical Success Factors and verifying them on certain PPP transport projects.

Batch processing of perfusometric MRI data
Filipová, Petra ; Macíček, Ondřej (referee) ; Jiřík, Radovan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the DCE – MRI method (Dynamic contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging). Basic principle of magnetic resonance and pulse sequence is described. The diploma thesis focuses on the DCE method, especially on the description of the processing procedure by this method. Description of selected pharmacokinetic models is the part of this diploma thesis as well. Furthermore, description and realization of batch processing by PerfLab system is presented. For verifying purposes of the batch processing functionality real data were measured using created acquisition protocol, which is also part of the diploma thesis.

Multichannel blind deconvolution of color images
Brantál, František ; Šorel, Michal (referee) ; Šroubek, Filip (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to get acquainted with methods for degradation removal (deconvolution) in scalar images in the case when no apriori information about the shape of convolution masks is known (blind deconvolution) but more than one image acquisition with different degradation is available (multichannel deconvolution). Propose possible approaches for extending blind deconvolution into multivalued (color) images using regularization forms. Implement proposed techniques and verify performance not only on synthetic data but also on real data.

Structure and properties of GARCH(1,1) model
Maštalíř, Jakub ; Pígl, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to introduce the reader an econometric approach to financial time series volatility modeling and scrutinize construction, properties and constraints of the popular GARCH(1,1) model when applying it on real market data and in wider sense than it's usually presented in reference literature. In the section 1 we'll repeat some important statistical terms of time series econometrics, which will be needed in next sections. We'll talk a little bit more generally about volatility of an asset, its modeling and measuring at all, because the true values are actually unknown and we observe just its demonstration on the markets. We'll mention some important statistical tools operating as an irreplaceable component of the GARCH(1,1) model, which will be introduce in the section 2. We'll scrutinize its specific properties, advantages, constraints and indeed the statistical inference. Because it's considered as a flexible model with rather general structure we'll also discuss some complications which can occur during its applications and convenient ways to solve them. Implementation of the model will be presented in the section 3. We'll use real market data and show clear demonstration of the scrutinized properties. At the end we'll verify how the model is significant when explaining the volatility of an asset.

Education of Roma children in elementary education system in the Czech Republic.
KUBÍČKOVÁ, Eva
This diploma thesis deals with a topic of Roma education in the Czech elementary education system. Aim of the thesis is to analyse current state of czech educational system in a relationship to Roma students, to point out the practice of segregation at elementary schools and to offer possible solutions. In the theoretical part there is a description of current situation of Roma minority in the Czech Republic. Through media information and proffesional papers I reflect escalated social situation and analyze most frequent disputes between Roma minority and majority. I present a reform of Roma children education as one of the priorities for Roma integration in the Czech Republic. I present current alternatives of elementary education of Roma students in the Czech republic and compare advatages of inclusion against segregation in education.
