Continous Quality Improvement in a Healthcare Organization

This graduation thesis describes some changes, which had taken place in the Central Military Hospital in Prague before this organization obtained the prestigious international accreditation - Joint Commission International. An example of one of these changes is introducing a new type of medical documentation, which meets the demanding requirements of accreditation standards. The thesis is divided into two parts - the theoretical part and the practical one. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters. The first chapter deals with describing the quality and it contains a description of some models of continuous quality improvement as well as their comparison. The following part describes the main principles of the management of changes in a healthcare organization. The practical part of the thesis presents the Central Military Hospital in Prague as well as some changes that accompanied this organization's effort to obtain the international certificate JCI. The research is focused on the nursing staff and their opinions of the introduction of new medical documentation. The thesis could serve as an inspiration to those healthcare organizations that are preparing (for future continuous quality improvement) improvement of the quality of their services.

From seven to eleven years: As children of primary school age are writing literature

The project has dealt with the concept of texts and written texte styles among the children of a younger school age (1st to 5th grade od elementary school). Research examination was qualitative. Even the methods wich were used matched that: collecting written materials, observation, discussions with children and teachers. Research was conducted with the participating children who came from a nuber of classes within one elementary school. The project has focused on the developmental psychology. Attention has concentrated on the appearances of texts written by children, mainly literary texts, their characteristics, development and changes, strategies of children's writing, the use of typeface and similar details. The monitored characteristics have been captured in its development, gradually from the first to the fifth class. The author has subsequently devoted her time to the questions of the children's authorschip, communication with conventional models of text, relation between reading and writing, development of concepts of various themes, influence of chool and children's culture on the development of a written composition and other problems. Chancellor Willy Brandt (1969-1974)

Willy Brandt is the adopted name of Herbert Ernst Karl Frahrn. Born in December 1913 to an unwed Liibeck shopgirl, he was raised by maternal grandfather to be a fervant blue- collar socialist. As a teenager Brandt joined the Social Democratic Party of Gerrnany ( SPD) in 1930, but one year later switched to a more radical spin-off the Socialist Labour Party ( SAP). In 1933 to escape arrest the Gestapo changed his name to Willy Brandt and flet to Scandinavia where he was active as a joumalist and in anti- fascists movement. In 1945/46 he worked as a correspondent in Gerrnany for Scandinavian newspaper and became press office at the Norwegian Mision in Berlin. Brandt was persuaded by fellow Social Democrats to apply for reinstatement of his Gerrnan citizenship. In 1949 he was elected a member of the first parliament of the post war West Gerrnany that convenced in Bonn. In 1957 the SPD chose him as its candidate for the office ofthe Mayor ofWest Berlin. Strategy in Covering Areas of Interest in the Sphere of Pharmacy Services

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out whether it is convenient to build a new pharmacy chain in supermarkets or hypermarkets Albert in region Královehradecký and South Czech region. The theoretical part is focused on progress in pharmacy, history, main pharmaceutical institutions and some economic indicators. The practical part contains interactive maps, which had helped me to reach the aim of the thesis. In interactive maps are shown supermarkets/hypermarkets Albert, Kaufland, existing pharmacies and hospitals, which are not more than 3 kilometers far form supermarket/hypermarket Albert. I also analyzed factors in each region, such as unemployment rate, number of inhabitants, average monthly salary, etc. and made proper conclusions.

Libeř. Transformation of microsocial, agricultural, and ecological structure of the village in the Central Bohemia region in the Early modern period

This Thesis puts mind to population and natural development of village Libeř in Central Bohemia. The first part focuses on demography and follow nuptiality, natality and mortality from the end of 16th till the middle of 19th century. Selected developments are compared with similar and other locality. Fragments offers look to everydayness of Libeř's villagers - strategy of partners selection, choice of childern's names and godfathers, most frequent causes of death in individual age categories etc. The most important fountains for historical demography are church registers and old land registers. Confessional and memorial books are complementary to partial details to concrete people. In this chapter is short development of parishs, which partakes of spiritual government in Libeř. The 2.th. part of Thesis studies changes of natural territory and his usage, formation village borders and image of rural zone. Among monitored problems pertains patrimonial competency to parcels and changes, too. Base of documents are above all written and cartographic fountains - the old land registers, cadasters (Theresian Register, Josephinian Register) and memorial books. Launching and Operating Issues of Supersonic Business Jet

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou zavedení a provozu nadzvukových business jetů. V dnešní době se v civilní letecké přepravě, po ukončení provozu Concordu, žádná nadzvuková letadla nevyskytují. V dnešní době existuje mnoho projektů a organizací, které se zabývají znovuzavedením nadzvukových letounů do civilního letectví a soustředí se převážně na business jety. Hlavní otázkou je, zda je vůbec vhodné, či rozumné se k tomu typu dopravy znovu vracet. Existuje hodně problémů, které toto komplikují. Tyto letouny způsobují příliš velký hluk, mají obrovskou spotřebu paliva a musí řešit nadměrné emise, létají ve vysokých výškách ve kterých může docházet k problémům s přetlakováním kabiny, navigací, radioaktivním zářením apod. Navíc zákaz supersonických letů nad pevninou letové cesty omezuje a prodlužuje. Současně vznikající projekty navíc nedosahují tak velkého doletu jako klasické moderní bussjety, což způsobuje, že se nadzvukové business jety se na delších tratích stávají neefektivní. I přes tyto problémy, je víceméně jisté, že k zavedení nadzvukových business jetů dojde během následujících 10 - 15 let, i kdyby to měla být jen otázka jisté prestiže velmi bohatých lidí.

Surface treatment of spherical pin

Diploma thesis is worked-up as a part of master’s studies of engineering technology M2I – K, analyzing the possible methods of surface treatment of spherical pin, that increase its corrosion resistance. Spherical pin is mounted into several types of chassis components such as joints, control arms, etc. The current situation is inconvenient for manufacturers, insufficient corrosion protection increases the number of complaints and this may be reflected in the number of future orders. Via of suitable surface treatment is to achieve a higher corrosion resistance while maintaining the functional properties of pins used.

The influence of communities upon the amount of their tax revenues

The purpose of the thesis is to describe and analyse capability of municipalities as subjects creating law to influence own tax revenue. The theoretical foundation of the thesis is definition of self-government and municipal budget aiming at revenue, especially tax revenue in accordance with the budgetary categorization. The main part of the thesis focuses on the municipal budget revenue, which can be influenced by municipaities. It contains two chapters. The first one of them is so concerned with local charges as the payments which the municipalities have the greatest influence on. They decree their introduction or repeal, rate etc. The next chapter of the thesis analyses the authority of municipalities regarding the real estate tax, that is possibility of exemption of real estate touched by natural disaster and exemption of some agricultural lands and set or modification of various coefficients - the local coefficient, the municipal coefficient and location rent. The following part reports on tax authority of slovak municipalities compared with czech ones. Bachelor´s thesis deals with design of permanent way and track geometry parameters of the selected section of Vsetín – Velké Karlovice railway track. The design should be considered primarily on existing objects such as railway crossings, culverts, railway stops, bridges , etc. Thesis includes restoration of drainage and track laying technology. It should be noted, that all proposed adjustments are designed according to current regulations and legislation.
