The Problem of Self-consciousness in Fichte's Philosophy. Study in Pragmatic History of the Human Mind
Vrabec, Martin ; Karásek, Jindřich (advisor) ; Sobotka, Milan (referee) ; Kuneš, Jan (referee)
Submitted essay is an inquiry into J. G. Fichte's early philosophy focused particularly on Foundation of the Entire Wissenschaftslehre as a central work of his early period. Interpretation is based on assumption that its principal aim consists in manifestation of the way leading to emergence of our commonsense and ordinary understanding with reference to both world and ourselves. This approach carries Fichte's affilation with tendency inherent to transcendental philosophy of his era not only in its search for the origin of empirical knowledge, but for the origin of aprioristic structures of our experience especially. His transcendentally laden search manifests itself as so called "pragmatic history of the human mind", the principal object of our inquiry. Here we can find an attempt to reconstruct just transcendental, but not "real", temporally sequential, genesis of our mind from original state of feeling to our common representation both about independently existing things and ourselves as free cognizing subjects. Application of this philosophical method allows him to genetically derive and justify basic forms of our experience and its aprioristic components like space, time, substantiality or causality. The first part of essay introduces fundamental principles of Fichte's philosophical system and...

Externalities in transport with emphasis on spatial aspects
Tomášek, Radek ; Matějček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Hanus, Martin (referee)
Externalities in transport with emphasis on spatial aspects. Summary This Thesis deals with the externalities of transport with an emphasis on spatial externalities. It is divided into eight chapters which are then broken down into individual subsections. In the basic concepts chapter is included the theoretical part characterizing the phenomenons of transport and externalities, possibilities of quantification, solving and internalization of transport externalities and the current situation in the Czech Republic. The chapter Practical part includes specific studies and their results. First, the model area of Výtoň is described and there are given at least the basic information regarding the functioning of traffic lights, followed by the methodology of the survey and its results. This research is also followed by the questionnaire survey dealing with the pedestrian traffic in Prague. Both surveys point to the same goal which is to find out about the influence of fragmentation of the landscape on the lives of the city's inhabitants. This goal was achieved in the final chapter, which summarizes the most important findings from both surveys. KEY WORDS: Externalities, space, fragmentation, road transport, city, pedestrian crossing with traffic lights

Využití imsetů při učení bayesovských sítí
Vomlel, Jiří ; Studený, Milan
This paper describes a modification of the greedy equivalence search (GES) algorithm. The presented modification is based on the algebraic approach to learning. The states of the search space are standard imsets. Each standard imset represents an equivalence class of Bayesian networks. For a given quality criterion the database is represented by the respective data imset. This allows a very simple update of a given quality criterion since the moves between states are represented by differential imsets. We exploit a direct characterization of lower and upper inclusion neighborhood, which allows an efficient search for the best structure in the inclusion neighborhood. The algorithm was implemented in R and is freely available.

Principles utilization possibilities of the educational activities of the nurse in the primary care
DRAXLEROVÁ, Milena
The objective of this bachelor's work is to find the principles utilizing of the nurse educational activities in the primary care. The education seems to be the important caracteristic of the treatment practice and has gone hand in hand with the primary care since the treatment beginning. The education as a training, cultivation and tutoring is emphasized lately as the self-evident part of the professional nurse occupation. The educational nurse activity in the primary care has own particularities which are described in detail in the theoretical section of this bachelor´s work. The contemporary treatment conception talks up the important aspects of the nurse role {--} the educator and the coordinator of the patient care. The nurse education should correspond to this thus the nurses could perform their profession as the qualified medical officer. The primary care field is the inseparable piece of the theoretical part of this work. The community nursing as the first care line has been continuously developed recently and the role of the primary nurse is emphasized mainly in the support and maintenance of the people health. Their services are provided in the wild scale in the various environment and cover the whole life cycle since conception to lenitive care at the dying. The education in the primary care represents the great importance. Its purpose is to continuously raise the population health consciousness. In the practical part of the work the quantitative research was performed, the data collection questionnaire technique was used. The research set consisted of sixty-two primary care nurses. The research performed within this work at the nurses working in the primary care has demonstrated a quite good knowledge and also principles utilizing of the educational activities in the nursing practice. Unfortunately it has showed subsequently that nurses don´t have sufficient possibilities in the present system of the primary care and principally the time scope for the education performance. There is the left room for the next knowledge consolidation and perfection in this field even though the good education principles knowledge. The space for the potential further research in the prevention field regarding positive health support and maintenance has been opened consecutively.

New trends in commercial communications, with focus on on-line communications
Maršálková, Hana ; Postler, Milan (advisor) ; Hrnčíriková, Katarína (referee)
This bachelor thesis describes the actual situation and development trends in a field of commercial communications, especially in on-line communication. Author characterizes the actual situation on promotional market and describes also the development trends in media consumption and investment. Then there is a space for the new media and their forms, especially for internet, which is becoming an integrating medium for the other media. In a practical section the thesis analyses a chosen on-line communication campaign, on the basis of which it provides collection of generalized practical reccomendation, which every successfull on-line communication campaign should respect.

Valka camp by Nurnberg (1949-1954)
Arenbergerová, Helena ; Pullmann, Michal (referee) ; Štaif, Jiří (advisor)
The theme of my work is Valka, a camp for refugees and strangers without home, one camp out of many. By combining and confronting various kinds of resources: both written and oral, official and non-official, I strive to draw a more solid picture of the camp's reality. Although the camp existed - bearing the name Valka - between 1946 and 1960, my focus lies in the period between 1949 and 1954 when Valka served as a governrnent-run, Bavarian camp, opened for refugees from Communist Czechoslovakia. In the course of íts history, the camp would internationalize, opening its gates for the post-bellum "homeless", ie. displaced persons. Due to the motives which forged Valka's existence, I launch my work by discussing Czechoslovak refugee situation as well as the shift in the state boarders: I place the refugee problems into a broader context, focusing, however, on the Western, especially American Occupation Zone. At the same tirne, stilI in the First Chapter, I pinpoint the important differences in approaches of the International, and the Local - i.e. German -, authorities. The Second Chapter deals with the history and development of the very space where Valka existed, I focus on the organizational and structural changes between 1949 and 1954. The Third Chapter is based on both archival and secondary resources, as...

The Space of Prayer - Ethnography of a Monastic Community
Horská, Kateřina ; Zandlová, Markéta (advisor) ; Spalová, Barbora (referee)
The presented work deals with certain aspects of catholic monastic life; it has been elaborated on the basis of a field research carried out in a female monastic community of an active order in the Czech Republic. In the work, I focus primarily on the topic of prayer and I am trying to answer the following questions: what is the nuns' attitude towards prayer like, which activities we can consider a prayer in the monastic community and what is the influence of these activities on actors in this setting? On theoretical level, the thesis is based especially on the concept of total institutions by E. Goffman and on Pierre Bourdieu's conception of habitus. The text consists of four major parts. In the first, introductory part I describe methodological and ethical issues relevant to my research. In the second part, I concern myself briefly with monastic life in general, its origins and development, and also with stages of monastic life of an individual. The following empirical part based on ethnographic data from my field notes is presented as a description of "a common day" in the monastic community. The last part is theoretical and analytical at the same time; here I deal with the main topic of the thesis. Firstly, I present Goffman's concept of total institutions and I explain how according to this...

Dynamic Constraint Satisfaction Problems
Surynek, Pavel ; Rudová, Hana (referee)
Constraint satisfaction problems (CSPs) are a type of combinatorial (optimization) problems that invite much interest in many practical applications. CSP is defined by a set of variables, to which values must be assigned, and a set of constraints that restrict these assignments. Since many problems of practical interest require a dynamic environment, the model of CSP was extended to a dynamic CSP (DCSP), in which the set of variables and/or constraints can be modified during the constraint resolution process. To simplify the constraint satisfaction problem for search algorithms, consistency (filtering) techniques like arc-consistency are usually applied. In this thesis, we study the problem of maintaining arc-consistency in DCSPs. We propose several new dynamic arc-consistency algorithms that yield a better compromise between time and space in comparison to similar existing algorithms like DNAC-4, DNAC-6 and AC|DC. The highlight of the work is a new algorithm that outperforms so far fastest algorithm for maintaining arc consistency in dynamic problems DNAC-6. In order to do performance experiments we have developed a library SPlan written in C++. This library solves DCSPs and the new algorithms as like as the comparable existing ones are implemented as a part of the library. Experimental results on randomly...

Press that serves the public? Survey of journals published by Prague's municipalities
Písačková, Kateřina ; Hájek, Roman (advisor) ; Krobová, Tereza (referee)
This master thesis deals with the phenomenon of journals published by local municipalities, defined in a recent amendment to the Press Act in the legal order of the Czech Republic as "journals of territorial administrative units". According to the press law the purpose of these journals is to deliver information about the self- governing unit while providing adequate space for presenting opinions and views of all ideological spectrum of the local council. These journals were recently criticized for being abused by the ruling political representation and being misused as a form of political PR rather than an independent news platform. My research is focused on their gradual professionalization that was recently encouraged by the changes in the Czech law. The research is based on a survey of editors of these journals. In the survey I investigated the background of the content production of these journals, various aspects of their organization, details about staff editors and their reflection on the topic, as well as control mechanisms that are set to ensure the statutory requirements of objectivity and impartiality. In addition to the survey, I also present a brief case study of the Hobulet magazine, published in the Prague 7 district, which is considered to be a progressive example of the genre. The...
