Managing Children with ADHD
Lukášová, Michaela ; Ortová, Marie (advisor) ; Klímová, Olga (referee)
My final thesis deals with the problematics of children with ADHD from the pedagogical point of view. Because this defect, with symptoms like hyperactivity, impulsivity and enourmous excentricism, is connected with various difficulties, it also offers a range of most common methods of teaching and personal approaches to hyperkinetic children. In the theoretic part, there are described main problems connected with ADHD and ways of their solving and prevention. It strats with the general chracteristcs of ADHD wtih it ́s symptoms, causes, types and possible risks and further deals with the main areas of help: teaching environment, diagnostics, psycho-pharmakotherapy and also alternattive methods. The second, parctical part of my thesis is aimed to the comparison of previously mentioned theoretical findings and practical knowledge based on my questionCforms. It describes especially tha diagnostics and working methods with children suffering ADHD, ways of their treatment and other additional help activities like hobby groups etc. Hyperactive children are often considered less intelligent or naughty, but their unsusual behaviour is connected with their defect. If it is recognized and cured in time and if the children are treated in the right manner, it can be depressed to minimum. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Understanding representations of space via computer technology
Dvořák, Petr
There was and is written a big amount of literatuře with the topič of three-dimensional imagery, this literatuře afflicts almost all areas connected with this problematic. But just a few places are given to the possibility ofusing information technology for development of three-dimensional imagery. Simultaneously the children grow into the world of computers and we can not neglect this fact. Children approach to computers with a quite commonplace and without fear (in contrast to adults). They are moving in virtual environments, which simulate a real world more and more punctually and also with its physical rules. Every of these experiences can influence their three-dimensional imagery. Also the ability of transformation of the surrounding three-dimensional world into the picture-two- dimensional form (and of course contrariwise) - it closely bears on the three-dimensional imagination. Mainly the ability to read the planar pictures and to use the gained information in the creation of three- dimensional conceptions. This ability is at school knowingly evolved, for example through channelling the body in free parallel projection. Emphasis insists on the work with real models and their pictures. In my work I try to refer to the advantages and crags of using computer programmes, which simulate to us real models...

Potential photodynamic active compounds based on nitrogenous macrocycles
Kostka, Miroslav ; Hartl, Jiří (advisor) ; Macháček, Miloš (referee) ; Král, Vladimír (referee)
77.. SSUUMMMMAARRYY During the dissertation I have managed to prepare various compounds of phthalocyanine (Pc) structures and measure their production of singlet oxygen. The synthesis of Pc is not overly problematic, however complications arise during purification. Phthalocyanines are known for their instability in visible light spectrum and their aggregation in more concentrated solutions. The singlet oxygen quantum yield is usually low at the aggregates, thus further work is limited. The aim of my work was to create new Pcs with both increased solubility and functional groups suitable for conjugation with biomolecules. First experiments were performed with silicon complex of Pc (SiPc). However, synthesis of axialy substituted SiPc was not successful. Similar compounds with peripheral alkylsulphanyl substitution were also not obtained. These compounds disintegrated during synthesis. Another method that I have tried to insert a central aluminium atom into a Pc platform that was soluble into common organic solvents. Not all peripheral substituents were suitable (5, 6). Even by this method I haven't achieved satisfactory reactions yields. We have then turned our attention to zinc and magnesium complexes of Pc (ZnPc, MgPc). These synthesis methods are already known. Their reaction conditions are less...

Three phase bone scintigraphy in diagnostics of neuropathic osteoarthropathy in diabetic patients
Krabcová, Ivana ; Lang, Otto (advisor)
As required by the Centre for Preventive Medicine, 3rd Faculty of Medicine at graduation work is necessary to choose a theme and Prevention. The topic of his thesis Three-phase bone scintigraphy in the diagnosis of diabetic neurogenic arthropathy I chose this as a basic condition very well suited. Diabetes mellitus is a disease with high incidence of serious and complications whose research, particularly in the etiology, prevention and therapy, the emphasis in all developed countries. A common complication of diabetes is called diabetic foot. The main etiologic factors leading to the development of diabetic foot, diabetic neuropathy, and ischemia. Serious consequences Diabetic foot ulcers are, gangrene and amputation. Charcot arthropathy (Choate) is one of the complications of patients with diabetic neuropathy. Diagnosis Choate is problematic primarily because that this diagnosis often thinks of a confused with other diseases, especially with osteomyelitis, phlegmon, arthritis or osteoporosis. Determination correct diagnosis depends mainly on the expression of suspicion for this disease medical history and clinical presentation and exclusion of other possible causes by laboratory and imaging methods. In our work we focus on the method of three-phase bone scintigraphy and the possibility of its use in the...

European audiovisual politics: public service broadcasting and the competition rules of European
Friedrichová, Magdaléna ; Šlosarčík, Ivo (advisor) ; Kasáková, Zuzana (referee)
For the broad problematic of European public broadcasting service (PBS), we chose a rather narrow view point of its financing. The competition law in EU, which is called by many an economic constitution for its force and prime role in the process of European integration, has much larger impacts than solely economic ones. The respect of competition rules in PBS financing can also indicate a good level of political end economical media independence. This thesis consists of three main parts. The first part treats PBS as a fraction of a far larger field of general economic interest services. Those services, essential in European social model, are represented on EU level legislation mainly as exceptions of strict competition rules. Regarding this topic, we follow the development in practice of the European court of justice. We follow the struggle between two conceptions - the "compensatory" and the "state aid" conception which ended in compromise Altmark judgment of the European court of justice in 2003. The problems of services of general economic interest and its place in European national societies represent a strong social dimension, to which PBS add also the cultural and national one. Beside general articles of treaties, the key documents for PBS in EU are the Amsterdam protocol and the 2001 PBS...

The Specifics of Care about a Patient after Dental Surgeries
CHUMOVÁ, Edita
This bachelor's dissertation deals with the specifics of attendant care for a patient after dental treatment. The term ?dental treatment? is not the synonym just for a surgical dental extraction. This term includes more forms of medical treatment, which are demanding for the surgeon as well as for the patient. Such patient needs a quality attendant care after the treatment, care represented by a nurse. The nurse is acquainted with the specifics of the care and knows how to look after the patient. The dissertation contains a theoretical as well as practical part. The introduction of the theoretic part consists of basic terms of stomatology and dental surgery, followed by an introduction into the anatomy and oral cavity physiology. The basic information is accompanied by information about stomatology investigation and cooperation of a nurse with a doctor. The dissertation continues with the most frequent diseases in dent alveolar and maxillofacial dental surgery. This is followed by preoperative preparation, divided into preparation for a planned treatment, which is long-term, short-term and immediate; preparation of the patient in local anaesthesia; urgent unplanned treatment and preparation of patients who are being cured on long-term bases with anticoagulative treatment. Later emerges a topic, which contains interventions executed at the patient after the treatment, together with the requested standards of the nurse looking after these patients. The theme of oral cavityhygiene, nutrition and pain is essential. There are also stated communicational and educational skills of a nurse and the final care for the patient practiced with the help of orofacial area rehabilitation. The practical part contains a quality examination via a semi structured dialogue consisting of 24 questions. The examination sample is represented by nurses from Nemocnice České Budějovice, a.s., who look after dental surgery patients, it means nurses from dental ambulances, ORL (ear-nose-and-throat) and ophthalmological departments. It was found out during the examination survey that these patients are looked after at the department of traumatology as well. The dialogues are absolutely anonymous with the respondent?sfree choice. After the agreement of the respondents and the sister ward the dialogues were recorded on a dictaphone of a mobile phone. The examination took place at the beginning of the month of March. The semi structured dialogue contains basic characteristics of the respondent. The next part of examination was to find out, which patients after dental treatment are looked after by the respondents in their departments most often. Questions typical for the examined areafollowafter the introduction into the problematic, this means question dealing with taking meals, hygiene and education, the dialogues are further enriched with more unplanned questions. The record of the dialogues is registered in the bachelor?s dissertation in the form of a transcription and the results are dealt with via the categorization. For this examination there were stated three examination questions. The examination question 1: What is the specific of taking meals with the patient after a dental surgery? Examination question 2: What is the specific of oral cavity hygienic care with the patient after a dental surgery? Examination question 3: How does the nurse educate a patient after a dental surgery? The results of our dissertation are going to be accessible to the students who meet these patients during their practices, and for nurses who look after these patients. The results will serve to enrichment or completion of information in the field of after-treatment care for these patients. That is why the received information was dealt with as an information material, accessible in electronic version. The form of the information material is stated in the enclosure (Enclosure 4).

Gradient Boosting Machine and Artificial Neural Networks in R and H2O
Sabo, Juraj ; Bašta, Milan (advisor) ; Plašil, Miroslav (referee)
Artificial neural networks are fascinating machine learning algorithms. They used to be considered unreliable and computationally very expensive. Now it is known that modern neural networks can be quite useful, but their computational expensiveness unfortunately remains. Statistical boosting is considered to be one of the most important machine learning ideas. It is based on an ensemble of weak models that together create a powerful learning system. The goal of this thesis is the comparison of these machine learning models on three use cases. The first use case deals with modeling the probability of burglary in the city of Chicago. The second use case is the typical example of customer churn prediction in telecommunication industry and the last use case is related to the problematic of the computer vision. The second goal of this thesis is to introduce an open-source machine learning platform called H2O. It includes, among other things, an interface for R and it is designed to run in standalone mode or on Hadoop. The thesis also includes the introduction into an open-source software library Apache Hadoop that allows for distributed processing of big data. Concretely into its open-source distribution Hortonworks Data Platform.

Project of Uniform Education System for Expert Activities
Pivoňková, Kateřina ; Visinger,, Radek (referee) ; Frýdek,, Miroslav (referee) ; Alexandr, Pavel (advisor)
Particular parts of the project 'Uniform Education System for Expert Activities' are listed and described in this dissertation. Legal approaches to the issue of expert activities in selected European countries were mapped on the basis of researches. The fact that the current legal regulation of expert activities in the Czech Republic does not include the obligation of the lifelong learning of experts, does not specify the ways and forms of verifying of qualification requirements before appointing to the office, and also does not provide for the further educating after the registering on the list of experts, is seen as a problematic situation. The suggested system is divided in two basic parts: before registering the expert on the list of experts, focusing on the qualification requirements and the way of their verification by administrative authorities, and after appointing to the office and registering to the central list of experts, focusing on lifelong learning during the whole time of practising of the profession, as well as on the form and content. Some basic methods of sociological survey (especially introductory seminars and questionnaire surveys) were used as the information source. These dates were evaluated and applicable conclusions were compiled and integrated into in more detail described components parts of the suggested education system, in which also the already existing training courses and workshops were taken in consideration. For the purpose of regular verifying of expert's professional qualification, a credit system was developed, as well as the periodicity of verifying of the expert's professional qualification and the form of record keeping in the Index of Expert's Professionalism.
