Multicriteria games

Theory of multicriteria games is a special field of game theory, when one or more players have at least two payoff functions and want to maximize simultaneously. The work introduces a number of new findings. It examined the concept of finding equilibria in pure strategies in noncooperative multicriteria game. It is possible to find all the equilibria in pure strategies by full search and solving two linear programs for each point. Furthermore, two linear programs are formulated for verifying that a selected point is the equilibrium of the game or not. In the noncooperative games is also introduced the concept that with knowledge of the equilibrium of bimatrix game determines preferences of the players. Although finding the equilibrium point of the bimatrix game is nonlinear problem, finding the preferences is linear problem. The latest findings in the noncooperative games is a generalization of the concept that solves multicriteria game by assigning weights to each criterion of each player. The work demonstrates that it may not be necessarily linear weights, but it can be more general function that describes the player's preference. The remaining part is devoted to knowledge in cooperative games. There is considered that the players know their preferences and are able to express them by weights. The game with known preferences is defined and solved with the use of bargaining theory. Then it is generalized to a case where players have more payoff functions, from which they can choose. Finally, the multicriteria case of voting game is defined. It is designed completely new concept, which selects the winning coalition in the voting game. This concept is then applied to the real situation after the elections to the Chamber of Deputies in 2013.

The capacity of the European Union to form a common foreign policy: The approach towards Russia during the crisis in Ukraine

The thesis deals with the issues of framing and europeanization of the foreign policy of the European Union in the context of an actorness of the EU. These two theoretical concepts are applied on the case of an approach of the Czech Republic and European Union towards Russian Federation during the crisis in Ukraine. The aim of this thesis is to find out if the European Union is capabble of affecting the behaviour of a member state in order to create unified and operational foreign policy. The first chapter deals with teoretical definition of the two concepts and detailed description of the stances of Czech Republic and European Union follows in the second one. On the basis of these chapters the assessment is conducted. The last part firstly concludes if any attempt of influecing is present and secondly the success rate of the attempt is evaluated.

Expert capacities of the Czech political parties: case study of defence policy

The thesis deals with marginally explored area of expert capacities of the Czech political parties with respect to the different organizational types of selected political parties and movements. The work aims to find out what expert capacities work for these types of political parties, how these experts are recruited in their position, whether it corresponds to their educational background and professional experiences with function, which are they holding in the expert authority. Work is elaborated in the form of case study, which focuses on the activities of defense policy expert commissions. The text is divided into two theoretical and one empirical chapters. The first chapter deals with the process of policy-making, its actors and activities associated with this process. The second chapter defines the various types of political parties first from the mainstream perspective (cadre, mass, catch-all parties), which complements the modern concept of business party and finally there is a typology of S. Wolinetz (office-seeking, vote-seeking, policy-seeking parties). The last empirical chapter presents the case study focused on four Czech political parties (TOP 09, KSČM, ČSSD and political movement ANO 2011) and their access to party expertise. The result of this work is to compare the level of analytical capacity across selected political parties/movements and testing of hypotheses formulated in the introduction of the thesis.

International trade with fresh fruit and vegetables

The main goal of my Master´s thesis is to evaluate dynamic environment of international trade with fresh fruit and vegetables. In the first part of my thesis I analyzed importance of the production of fresh fruit and vegetables for economies of selected countries. Next I had described the trade flows and patterns. In the second part I made a characterization of payment terms and trade negotiations in the context of international trade with fresh fruit and vegetables. Furthermore I made an analysis of import and export rules and regulations of the EU. Based on this analysis I came to general conclusions on the trade policies of countries and communities. In the last part of my thesis I applied findings from the previous parts on the analysis of two cases. The first analyzed case is the situation of imports of Chinese pomelo to the EU, with regards to maximal residue levels of pesticides. Second analyzed case is the situation of South African citruses imported to the EU, with regards to the problematic of citrus black spots.

The Evolution of the Global Microchip Market

This thesis aims to explain the evolution and transformation of the microchip industry. It focuses on the changes and prediction of the future state including its causes and consequences. The analysis starts on the general description of the market and continues through its subjects ending on relationships between them. This serves as a source of information to the prediction in the final part of the thesis. In the beginning the products, which are taken into consideration in this work (namely CPUs, GPUs and APUs), are described. Following this, there is an analysis of the competition environment that defines a structure of the market upon which further work is based. (Three levels; the manufacturer of photolithographic machines, makers of the chips and their designers and OEM and aftermarket subjects.) The penultimate part defines the barriers to entry to this market and three categories are drawn up: economic, technical and geoeconomic, which are applied to every level of the market. Thus all prerequisites to a successful prediction are satisfied. In the last part of the thesis the prognosis is made and defined, along with its assumptions and limitations. In the concluding part of this work the consequences and results are summarized.

Family housing decision-making

This thesis is concerned with choosing the best and most real estate mortgage loans for family with children. The family should be chosen property near his residence momentary, then it should be recommended for this property the best mortgage loan. Selecting the property was affected by the demands of all family members and subsequent mortgage loans was selected from the products offered on the Czech market in November 2016. The thesis can be thematically divided into three main parts. The first part includes a literature search, which is divided into two areas. First described methods of multi-criteria decision making, which will be used in the decision making process. Along with these methods includes a literature review and theoretical part of the program area Super Decisions, which will be used in the practical part. Furthermore, theoretically they recognized concepts related to mortgage loans, according to which are then laid down criteria for assessing mortgage loans. The second part contains already a practical perspective on family issues, which therefore includes the selection of the best and most real estate mortgage loan program with the help of Super Decisions. The third part includes a summary of the work and the interpretation of results obtained through the program Super Decisions.

Otokar Březina and Charles Baudelaire: The metaphor of the light and the soul

This Diploma Thesis deals with the topic of the light and the soul in Charles Baudelaire and Otokar Březina in general. Then it concentrates on the particular motifs of the light and the soul and their metaphors. The main point of the Thesis is the poetic texts of both of the writers. The method used in this part is the literary and aesthetic analysis of the texts. Respect to the fact that it is focused on the comparative research, the following method used is the method of comparison which includes the charts with the frequency of the keywords in both of the authors and the enumerations which illustrate the issue of the present chapter. The aim of the Diploma Thesis is not only the comparison in the form and the interpretation but especially the determination of the similarities and the differences of the two poetic types within the framework of the present theme and the literary and historical context. Effect of snowpack on runoff generation during rain on snow event.

During a winter season, when snow covers the watershed, the frequency of rain-on-snow (ROS) events is still raising. ROS can cause severe natural hazards like floods or wet avalanches. Prediction of ROS effects is linked to better understanding of snowpack runoff dynamics and its composition. Deploying rainfall simulation together with hydrological tracers was tested as a convenient tool for this purpose. Overall 18 sprinkling experiments were conducted on snow featuring different initial conditions in mountainous regions over middle and western Europe.
Dye tracer brilliant blue (FCF) was used for flow regime determination, because it enables to visualise preferential paths and layers interface. Snowpack runoff composition was assessed by hydrograph separation method, which provided appropriate results with acceptable uncertainty. It was not possible to use concurrently these two techniques because of technical reasons, however it would extend our gained knowledge. Snowmelt water amount in the snowpack runoff was estimated by energy balance (EB) equation, which is very efficient but quality inputs demanding. This was also the reason, why EB was deployed within only single experiment.
Timing of snowpack runoff onset decrease mainly with the rain intensity. Initial snowpack properties like bulk density or wetness are less important for time of runoff generation compared to the rain intensity. On the other het when same rain intensity was applied, non-ripe snowpack featuring less bulk density created runoff faster than the ripe snowpack featuring higher bulk density. Snowpack runoff magnitude mainly depends on the snowpack initial saturation. Ripe snowpack with higher saturation enabled to generate higher cumulative runoff where contributed by max 50 %. In contrary, rainwater travelled through the non-ripe snowpack relatively fast and contributed runoff by approx. 80 %.
Runoff prediction was tested by deploying Richards equation included in SNOWPACK model. The model was modified using a dual-domain approach to better simulate snowpack runoff under preferential flow conditions. Presented approach demonstrated an improvement in all simulated aspects compared to the more traditional method when only matrix flow is considered.

Puppies and young dogs nutritions

Puppies and young dogs nutritions Summary In this work I have attempted to summarize the most important aspects in nutrition of puppies and dogs in growth. The introduction describes the digestive tract and also the changes that have occurred due to domestication. Next is explained the importance of nutrition and water in nutritional requirements of a dog. Important are needs of nutrients and energy that are necessary to maintain the provision of the necessary vital functions. The basic components of food are proteins, saccharides, lipids, minerals and vitamins. I explain the necessary proportions, the amounts and the possible consequences of their lack in food. I focus on essential fatty acids, which in recent years are subject to frequent explorations and their pros and cons are not yet fully understood. I also mention ballast and significant specific active substances. Nutrition of pregnant and lactating females is often neglected, but for puppies it is a very crucial period. The influence of nutrition of pregnant females to the size and weight of newborn puppies has been proved. Further I deal with nutrition of puppies immediately after birth, I explain the composition of colostrum and its effect on the immunity system of the puppy. I also compare ratios of nutrients in the colostrum and milk. Further, I deal with the feeding of the individual at the time of weaning and in different growth periods. There are many possibilities of feeding puppies from after weaning until adulthood described in books. With the new knowledge about nutrition the ways of feeding our dogs have inevitably changed , but also the dogs' nutritional requirements have changed due to the conditions where and how they live and what their nutrient needs are according to their sport, breeding or other use. Currently, there is a possibility of a commercially produced complete nutritional diet or home-prepared fresh food - cooked or raw- barf. In the last chapter, I summarized possible aspects of malnutrition and its potential consequences. I described the most common problems associated with inadequate nutrition of growing dogs such as obesity as well as malnutrition, which also adversely affects the individual. The influence of proper nutrition of the puppy on its growth is clear. If we neglect the nutrition of the dog in the first two years of its life, the consequences are often irreversible.

Vote and Voting Behaviour of Citizen of the Town Lanškroun

This graduation thesis Vote and Voting Behaviour of Citizen of the Town Lanškroun deals with vote and voting behaviour of inhabitants, who have permanent residence in the town Lanškroun. In thesis the returns of particular elections to municipal government of the town are characterized from years 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014. Subsequently the thesis is focused on the voting behaviour of the population. Informations about voting behaviour of citizen were obtained from performed questionnaire research.
The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part of graduation thesis is theoretical, which defines the basic concepts related to the topic of elections. It focuses mainly
on concepts such as local democracy, local politics, vote and voting behaviour.
The practical part focuses on the characteristics of the town Lanškroun, analyzes individual municipal vote and on the basis of results of the questionnaire results explains the voting behaviour of the population of Lanškroun.
