Local authority budgets in the Czech Republic

The thesis titled Local government budgets in the Czech Republic analyzes the budgets of governments focusing on local government units - municipalities. The theoretical part deals with the definition of basic concepts, public budgets and public finances and its conception. In the next part of my space is devoted to the system of budgetary system in the Czech Republic focusing on local budgets. The analysis in this section are subjected to various types of income and expenses. Government expenditures are compared on the basis of the itemized breakdown according to the budget structure. A significant chapter presents an analysis of the current situation in the area of financing municipalities - budgetary allocation of taxes, its historical development based on amendments to the Act. The last part of the thesis is a chapter dealing specifically with farming town of Dubi. Financial analysis evaluates the management of the city based on the selected informative and monitoring indicators, comparisons of budgets, and in the period of ten years. Special space is defined by analysis of the way the management of disposable financial resources of the city, including proposals and recommendations for their better utilization, and the base model simulations conducted.

The Values of the Cultural Landscape around the Lomec sanctuary

This dissertation deals with breakdown of landscape in proximity of pilgrimage site Lomec in South Bohemia. This location was chosen on bases of personal visit and obtainment of basic knowledge about the general area. While determining the part of the area for this work, all key values and elements, that are characteristic for local landscape, were taken into account. The dissertation is made of two parts. The first part is general (theoretical) and the second part is specific (analytic). The general part deals with given issue and introduces introduction to the topic. The specific part contains the own work of the author, which besides other things embodies the main contribution of this work (mainly some of its parts, in catalogue). Aim and outcome of the work is to create analysis (in a form of catalogue) of the area, first mentioned in second paragraph of the abstract. For this purpose data obtained during own terrain survey is used. Findings from all available literar sources, pertaining to the current issue, are being used.

The human rights and the animal rights

The thesis, which deals with the issue of human rights and animal rights, is divided into three basic chapters. The first chapter offers a summary of the historical development of human rights and seeks to highlight the coherence of this development with the current understanding of human rights. The second chapter focuses on the development of our relationship with animals. This chapter describes the historical, philosophical and religious aspects of the relationship. The final chapter focuses on the current arguments for animal rights. Part of this chapter is devoted to the animal rights opponent Tibor Machan, according to whom the animals do not need any rights.

Flowers as a Lawn Substitute

Ordinary lawns are difficult to maintain financially and can be time consuming, especialy if we try to cultivate lawn in places where the grass does not grow naturaly. The use of flowers as a subsitute to lawn brings forward new possibilities for otherwise neglected surface. Applying these alternatives are based on natural principles that initially cost higher but benefit far better in the long run. The chapter Introduction deals with issues of lawn versus flowers. This chapter focuses on typical habitats, groups of plants and works of experts. The chapter Literature Review focuses on different possibilities of ground covers with herbaceous vegetation in five subheads. Subhead Explanation of Basic Terms contains explanations of terms for lawn, flower - blooming plant and lawn substitutes from the perspective of different authors. Subhead Lawns briefly describes the history of the current lawns, mentions their function, types, methods of growing and its maintenance. The important idea is the negative effect of monocultures on the environment and how to reduce it. Subhead Groups of Flowers Used as Temporary Substitutes describes the topic of annuals and biennials in further details. It brings definition and characteristics of these flowers. Their use in different conditions either separately, as perennial plantings or as semi-wild structures are mentioned there. Subhead Groups of Flowers Used as Permanent Substitutes deals with perennials in detail. Flowering plants are divided according to the place of habitat. Describes the growing of flowers as a lawn substitute and its features such as visual similarity with lawn; resistance to pedestrian traffic, height, foliage, flowering time, etc. It focuses on the use of bulbs, alpine plants, xerophilous plants, flowers from the woods, hygrophilous plants, aromatic plants and other groups. The last subhead, Specific Groups of Flowers as a Lawn Substitute, discusses the flower meadows, extensive perennial flower bed and roof gardens. It brings insight into the history, the use in different habitats, growing, or flower mixtures on the market. It mentions the financial and environmental burden. The chapter Conclusion evaluates if the objectives of the work have been achieved - giving the overview of flowers as a lawn substitute and the comparision with a lawn.

The explanatory power of the financial statements of the selected company.

The objective of the Bachelor thesis is an assessment of the explanatory power of the financial situation of the company TIMAC AGRO CZECH s.r.o. The theoretical part deals with the content, structure and meaning of the individual financial statements. Also contains an overview of the basic techniques of financial analysis with a focus on ratio indicators and analysis of these indicators. In the practical part is first presented to the analysed company. The next part is devoted to the financial analysis for the period 2010 - 2011. The ratios were the profitability indicators applied, activities, indebtedness and liqutidy. A summary assessment of the health of the analysis of the company is in this part of the Bachelor thesis also used Altman Z-score. The final section is devoted to the evaluation of the results of financial analyses and specific recommendations and the influence of presentation of the individual items on the results of the financial analysis.

Monetary policy and central banking in the Czech Republic

The subject of my thesis is characteristic of central banking and monetary policy, conducted by the Czech National Bank in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is divided into three main chapters. The first of these chapters describes central banking, indicates its basic characteristics and functions. The second chapter is more focused on the monetary policy of the Czech National Bank and its nature. There are also defined the various monetary policy tools and their use. The third chapter contains a description of basic macroeconomic indicators and models. Analytical part is also divided into several chapters that describe several aspects of the development of the Czech economy in recent years. The first one contains the characteristics of the Czech economy in terms of sector structure. The second chapter focuses on the development of key macroeconomic data, the inflation and GDP. The third chapter provides an analysis of the development of the selected monetary instruments. In the last chapter, the data will be will evaluated and subjected to paired analysis.

Theoretical and practical human rights

The thesis deals with the issue of basic human rights, which is based on the Charter of fundamental rights and freedoms. First of all, in the theoretical part is defined the concept of human rights, together with the historical development and the emergence of the first documents that guarantee fundamental rights. The following is a detailed analysis of the Charter of fundamental rights and freedoms. The next chapter deals with the system of judicial protection and is characterized by the Institute of the Ombudsman. In conclusion, the theoretical work is defined by statutory status on the labor market and which focuses on the prohibition of discrimination. The practical part is concerned with the status of women on the labor market. In this part, there is carried out the research on the basis of a questionnaire survey, which aims to determine whether people perceive a different position on the labor market. The questions that have emerged in the questionnaire, are processed into a graphs, and with each of them, there is a comment connected to it. There are also defined the economic indicators of employment rates, unemployment rates and economic activity of the population. On the basis of the evaluation of the results of the investigation are at the conclusion of the work of recommended proposals for solutions to improve.

Změny alpinských ekosystémů na území KRNAP‚ NPR Králický Sněžník a CHKO Jeseníky v kontextu globálních změn

Projekt řeší jeden ze základních cílů resortního programu výzkumu v působnosti MŽP, kterým je zastavit pokles biologické rozmanitosti. Předmětem zkoumání jsou reakce alpinské vegetace a půdního prostředí pod vlivem globálních změn prostředí. Tato problematika je studována v prostředí alpinské tundry na území chráněné krajinné oblasti Jeseníky, národní přírodní rezervace Králický Sněžník a Krkonošského národního parku. Metodika řešení spočívá v kombinaci několika metodických přístupů tak, aby bylo možné postihnout jak rané, subtilní změny podmínek prostředí tak i jeho středně a dlouhodobé změny pod vlivem globálních změn prostředí. Navržené postupy vycházejí ze současných scénářů očekávaných změn globálního klimatu, které lze aplikovat na alpinské prostředí sudetských pohoří. Ve zprávě za druhý rok řešení jsou prezentována teoretická východiska studované problematiky, podrobná metodika řešení těch částí projektu, kterým byla věnována v roce 2008 pozornost, úvodní sada získaných výsledků a jejich stručná diskuse.

Ve zprávě za poslední rok řešení jsou prezentována teoretická východiska studované problematiky, charakteristika studovaných lokalit, design a obecná metodika řešení projektu, výstupy pětiletého výzkumu v hlavních tematických okruzích (sledování abiotických faktorů prostředí; fenologické odezvy významných druhů rostlin na simulované globální změny prostředí; vliv simulovaných globálních změn prostředí na druhové složení vegetace a zastoupení jednotlivých rostlinných druhů v alpínských vřesovištích; vliv simulovaných globálních změn prostředí na nadzemní a podzemní produkci rostlin; vliv simulovaných globálních změn prostředí na minerální složení biomasy; vliv simulovaných globálních změn prostředí na chemické vlastnosti půd; dlouhodobé změny alpínské a subalpínské vegetace na svahu Petrových kamenů v Hrubém Jeseníku) včetně popisu metodiky, výsledků a jejich diskuse, predikce změn alpínských ekosystémů a navržení opatření k minimalizaci negativních dopadů globálních změn na alpínské ekosystémy.

Marketing Strategy of the College of Polytechnics Jihlava

The subject of this thesis is the elaboration of the marketing strategy of the College of Polytechnics Jihlava, based on theoretical knowledge and conducted strategic analyses. The thesis is divided into two parts and three consecutive chapters. The first part (chapter 1 and 2) is devoted to the definition of basic concepts which are necessary basis for the text understanding and follow-up the definition of the basic theoretical and methodological foundations for the marketing strategies creation. In the second part (Chapter 3) the strategic analysis is performed, which is a necessary foundation for creating a marketing strategy, the proposal is also part of the 3rd chapter. There is a separate and overall evaluation of the analyses in this part of the thesis and it determines the competitive position of higher education institution (HEI), HEI catchment area and especially the strengths and weaknesses of the school, its opportunities and threats. Since this is the first strategic step at the College of Polytechnics Jihlava in the marketing activities area, the practical part also contains of many recommendations for the management of the school.
