Stiff Systems Analysis
Šátek, Václav ; Dalík, Josef (referee) ; Horová, Ivana (referee) ; Kunovský, Jiří (advisor)
The solving of stiff systems is still a contemporary sophisticated problem. The basic problem is the absence of precise definition of stiff systems. A question is also how to detect the stiffness in a given system of differential equations. Implicit numerical methods are commonly used for solving stiff systems. The stability domains of these methods are relatively large but the order of them is low.   The thesis deals with numerical solution of ordinary differential equations, especially numerical calculations using Taylor series methods. The source of stiffness is analyzed and the possibility how to reduce stiffness             in systems of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) is introduced. The possibility of detection stiff systems using explicit Taylor series terms is analyzed. The stability domains of explicit and implicit Taylor series are presented. The solutions of stiff systems using implicit Taylor series method are presented in many examples. The multiple arithmetic must be used in many cases. The new suitable parallel algorithm based on implicit Taylor series method with recurrent calculation of Taylor series terms and Newton iteration method (ITMRN) is proposed.

Rationalisation production of generators in TES Vsetín a.s.
Kašpar, Ladislav ; Navrátil, Petr (referee) ; Hlavenka, Bohumil (advisor)
The aim of this work is a significant racionalization of manufactory of skeleton of generator TES 472. In this work weaknesses of the current situation and possible solution directions were evaluated. Based on the analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of possible solutions were designed completely new concepts of manufacturing of this product. Rationalisation doesn´t deal only with the technology but is also focused on warehousing and material handling. The outcome of this work is not only a recommendation designed to streamline production, but also an economic evaluation of proposed actions.

Pump-controlled gain-locked Raman fibre amplifier
Karásek, Miroslav
Preliminary results of numerical simulation of pump-controlled, gain-locked Raman fibre amplifier have been presented. Numerical model of the gain-locked amplifier is based on interative solution of propagation equations for pumps, signals and spectral components of amplified spontaneous emission. Proportional-derivative feedback loop which controls the pump power has been implemented. Suppression of surviving channel power fluctuations due to channel addition/removal has been investigated.

The perspectives of tourism in the Canary Islands (with special focus on Gran Canaria)
Pazderová, Monika ; Abrhám, Josef (advisor) ; Havlíčková, Blanka (referee)
The Bachelor´s thesis is aimed at discussing tourism and analyzing diffferent perspectives of developement in the Canary Islands, namely in the island of Gran Canaria. The goal of this thesis will first be to evaluace the current situation of tourism in Gran Canaria. It is necessary to find the various perpectives of developement for this area, while also assessing strategic proposal plans in order to increase the competitive ability. The theorical section of this thesis is focused on tourism determination, and destination of tourism. In addition, the origin and developement of tourism in the Canary Islands is discussed. The practical part of this thesis is focused on tourism in Gran Canaria; the life cycle is applied to the destination of Gran Canaria, and there is a complete description of the attractions and infrastructure of the destination. Additionally, a SWOT analysis will take place analyzing the strengths, weakeness, opportunities and threats of tourism in Gran Canaria. In the final chapter, suggestions and solutions for tourism in Gran Canaria will be made based on strategic plans from the Canary institutions of tourism.

Influence of the global financial crisis on the banking system of Russia
Zenina, Aleksandra ; Heřman, Jan (advisor) ; Zeman, Karel (referee)
The global financial crisis has influenced the development of many countries. Russian Federation isn't exception. The special impact crisis has had on the country's banking sector. The main purpose of this work is to analyze the effects of the global financial crisis on the banking sector of the Russian Federation on the example of "Sberbank". Analysis of the influence of the financial crisis on this company consists of the following methods: research, analysis and planning. Analysis of the impact of the crisis includes the calculation and comparison of indicators such as capital adequacy, liquidity, return on assets, return on equity, the concentration of credit risks, the analysis of revenues and expenses of the enterprise for the period 2008-2010. Using these indicators it's possible to explore the market, the company's position in the banking sector, strengths and weaknesses, as well as the possible development in the future. Analysis of the influence of the global financial crisis on the Russian banking sector allows understand the reasons for problems and develop possible solutions.

Continuous mathematical models of population dynamics
Pecka, Luboš ; Opluštil, Zdeněk (referee) ; Franců, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to describe the most frequent models describing population dynamics and then to perform some numerical experiments in the MATLAB environment. These simulations should validate our theoretical results. The models are sorted from the basic models to the most complicated and are divided into the models which describe dynamics of one population and models of coexistence of two biological species. The master's thesis icludes also a program for drawing graphs and trajectories of solutions of models described in this thesis including a description of this MATLAB program.

Solving of partial differential equations by Fourier method
Barvenčík, Oldřich ; Opluštil, Zdeněk (referee) ; Nechvátal, Luděk (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is a survey text which deals with solving partial deferential equations by Fourier method, i.e. method when we look for a solution of (initial) boundary value problem in form of the infinite Fourier series. The key step is a hypothesis that the solution can be expressed in form with separated variables, therefore the method is sometimes called separation of variables method. The essence can be demonstrated on parabolic and hyperbolic homogeneous problems. In the thesis both types in one (space) dimension are systematically analyzed, at first homogeneous problem, then homogeneous one with non-homogeneous boundary conditions and finally completely non-homogeneous problem.

Application of Knowledge Management Principles in Selected Company
Ujčík, Jiří ; Draxlová, Markéta (referee) ; Doskočil, Radek (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on the issue of knowledge management, its principles and its application. The first part focuses on theoretical foundations. These are then used for analytical and practical part, which is dedicated to a proposal of own solution, where I propose practices to eliminate the identified weaknesses.

Measurement of transverse relaxation using spin echo methods
Škoch, Antonín ; Tošner, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Hanyková, Lenka (referee)
Title: Measurement of transverse relaxation using spin echo methods Author: MUDr. Antonin Skoch, Ph.D. Department: Department of Low Temperature Physics Supervisor: RNDr. Zdenek ToSner, Ph.D. NMR laboratory, of Faculty of science, Charles University in Prague Supervisor's e-mail address: tosner(o)karlov.mff.cuni.cz Abstract: The study of TI relaxation in systems with homonuclear J-coupling is complicated by modulation in the relaxation curve. This J-modulation can be removed when CPMG sequence is used and the period of repetition of refocusing pulse Tfulfils a condition r « * ( 1 ) Ai' where Av is the frequency difference of coupled nuclei. However, the condition (I) cannot be in practice always fulfilled. The aim of this work was to investigate J-modulation and relaxation behaviour of homonuclear J-coupled system in various parameters of CPMG sequence. Simulations based on numerical solution of Liouville-von Neumann equation and Redfield theory were performed. Relaxation curves of Chh group of citrate were measured on high-resolution NMR spectrometer. It was found that the suppression of J-modulation can be achieved also for T longer than required by the condition (1) providing that the refocusing angle in CPMG for both J-coupling partners 9^180ř. The simulations yielded conditions for T when J-modulation...
