Health related quality of life (HRQoL) in drug addicts and their dependents in relation to gender.

I focus my bachelor thesis on ascertaining the life quality of drug-addicted persons and their family members. The goal of my work is to document, with standardized methods, the differences in their perception of life quality compared with healthy population and to try to analyze differences in both sexes. The following hypotheses were set: H1: Life quality of drug-addicted persons and their families is lower than that of general population. H2: Life quality of drug-addicted persons and their family members differs depending on their sexes. Quantitative character method was selected for the research part, using the SF-36 standardized questionnaire of health-conditioned life quality. The resulting research shows considerable difference of the observed sample of drug-addicted persons compared to European Oxford standard in 8 domains. The perception of life quality by family members is also different in all domains, statistically significant at 5% level of significance, which confirms the hypothesis H1 in full extent. The comparison of perception of life quality by drug-addicted men versus drug-addicted women shows only slight differences. The same applies to family members; therefore that difference appears statistically insignificant, under 5% level of significance. So I can disprove the hypothesis H2. The thesis presents compact survey of the issue of life quality of drug-addicted persons and their family members, trying to give a base for further work with them, particularly in social-therapeutic area.

Řízení lidí v multikulturním prostředí

The main objective of the thesis was to define and analyze key aspects of managerial work in multicultural environment, in one of the Shared Services Center department, of multinational company based in Prague, Czech Republic. Further thesis aimed to define essential competencies of the successful manager and leader driving performance of multicultural department and provides recommendations to improve managerial performance in key aspects of manager s work such as communication, motivation, performance management and cross-cultural leadership. It is argued that presence of intercultural interactions between managers and their subordinates, impacts effectiveness of the managerial performance. Thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. First part of the thesis explores theoretical concepts regarding culture, communication, motivation and leadership with respect to multicultural environment specifics. In the second part, used research methods, conducted research analysis and outcomes are presented. Further in practical part recommendation towards analyzed aspects of managerial work that would lead to higher overall department performance are defined.

The situation of disabled persons in the labour market in the main City of Prague in 2014 and 2015

The topic of this thesis are disabled people. The main goal of this thesis is describe the situation th these people in the labor market of Prague. This description is based on the founded data and the specialized literature. There will be explained the concepts of labour market, unemployment, aktive employment policy first in the theoretical part. There are for the next time explained the concepts of disabled people, thein characteristics, different type of these disabilities, legislativ of the employnment of these people, rehabilitation programmes and the enterprises with more 50 % share of employed disabled people. The practical part is based on the analysis of the selected dates of Český statistický úřad and Ministerstvo práce a sociálních věcí. There is included my own anonymus questionnaire research of selected eemployers. The goal of this research is to show, how is the situation of the employers and the diabled people in Prague. It was found by using this research, that the situation in our main city is very positive. Employers offer many employments to disabled people, althoug they don't have to do that and they don't have any statutory obligation.

Progress of the system of public health insurance and health insurance companies in the Czech Republic for the period 2000 - 2015

This bachelor´s thesis analyzes the basic funds of health insurance companies for the period 2000 - 2015 in the Czech Republic, especially the creation of resources and their use and the entire system of public health insurance in the Czech Republic. Basic funds are one of the components of the overall economy of health insurance companies. First it is necessary to describe the market of the insured. The insured create and use the finances within public health insurance. Also important are contributions from the state budget for those insured by the state. We can conclude that the cost of health insurance companies are rising and that population is aging in the Czech Republic. However, this is not a balanced linear growth. The number of pensioners grew at a slower rate of growth, but according to population development forecast, there should be faster growth in the number of pensioners in the following years. Significant growth in cost is particularly noticeable in the age category of 80 and above, and increasingly more people should live up to this blessed age, also thanks to modern public health.

Time management

It is of great necessity to know how to manage time. The theoretical part of this thesis is concerned with the definition of time management, its origin and evolution. It covers the basic rules of efficient time management and the principles of efficient work organization. It describes the usage of goals and their setting, circadian rhythms and their influence on our productivity and the most common factors that steal our time. Based on the analysis of time frames and half-structured interviews, the empirical part follows the lives of six university students for two weeks. Our goal is to find out how the respondents use their time, what is their knowledge of time management and also to cover the difference between students living in a room alone and students sharing a room with one or multiple roommates.

The possibilities of influencing walking stereotypes with botulinum toxin

Title: The possibilities of influencing walking stereotypes with botulinum toxin Abstract: The thesis is focused on finding opportunities to influence the walking stereotype of patients suffering from spasticity of the lower limbs by botulinum toxin. The aim of thesis is to compare the quality of walking stereotype of these patients before and after the application of botulinum toxin by using a standardized test intended to evaluate the walk and based on the results to evaluate the effect of botulinum toxin on the walking stereotype. While reading the theoretical part the reader is familiar with the basic concepts related to the problems such as spasticity, botulinum toxin and walking stereotype. The scales evaluating the muscle tone are subsequently described (The Modified Ashworth scale, The Tardieu Scale) and of course the scales evaluating the walking stereotype are also mentioned (Rancho Los Amigos Gait Analysis Form, Gait Assessment Rating Scale, Rivermead Visual Gait Assessment, Tinetti Balance And Gait Evaluation). Scales evaluating the walking stereotype are also described in detail at thesis, their pros and cons are highlighted and upon the preferences of the author, one of these scales is selected to be applied in the practical part. Is everyone capable of providing first aid?

The objective of this paper is to find standard of knowledges about providing first aid in common people. Since I found out, that question of first aid doesn't appeal to people and they don't know the most fundamental elements of first aid, I decided to do research on this subject and to find whether cases which I met are solitary or are usual by majority of inhibitants. And subsequently to devise possibilities to improve standart knowledge of first aid. The collection of data was led through technology of questionaire, whích I distributed in to the different types of public, so that result would have the biggest value. The questions concerned an experience of people with first aid and their information about this problem. The questions were formulated as close with possibility of selection from two or more answers, half-closed questions and open questions where the respondents completed with their job and telephone number for ZZS. The advantage of this collection of data was a contact with respondents and possibility of discussion. Majority of respondents wanted to know, where they made mistakes and why their answer wasn't correct. 300 questionnaires were distributed and 216 was completed. Internal Migration in PRC: function, role and impact on Chinese economy

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the process of internal migration in Peoples' Republic of China. It focuses on low-skilled rural migrant workers, their overall characteristics, role in the economy and their status within Chinese society. This analysis aims to prove that despite the fact that rural migrants represent an essential element of Chinese economy, and have contributed by a great deal to China's economic take-off, they are still a very discriminated group of Chinese society and are constantly facing violations of their rights.

Vývoj asistenční aplikace pro lidi s demencí

The aim of this diploma thesis is to implement a presentation layer for the Reminiscence Computer Therapy application. Reminiscence Therapy involves the discussion of the past memories and it is believed to help people with dementia to improve their well-being and sustain their memories. Computer Reminiscence Therapy involves technology in this therapy. The research introduces into Dementia and Reminiscence Therapy with and without using technologies. The application developed as part of this diploma thesis uses picture upload and speech recognition techniques for the memory input. This is used to support remembering of past memories and to increase discussion. The application can be used with or without the carer as well as with friends and family members. The six most important requirements on the developed application are the speech recognition, picture upload, asking questions about the previous recordings, asking questions about tagged friends, using old stories for discussion and presenting the statistics. The application was developed as a part of the competition made by AngelHack organization. Presentation, business and persistence layers of the application are discussed in this diploma thesis as well as user manual and persistence layer implementation of the requirements. The presentation layer was developed using React framework for JavaScript. Other libraries have to be used as well with the most important being Redux library for storing application state. This library affected the structure of the persistence layer.

Effective dashboard design in the analytical tasks of IS

The thesis deals with analysing and designing an effective dashboard. By way of introduction the topics of Business Intelligence, data storages and data quality are described. Then, an overview of analytical outputs is given and the process of their formation is outlined. The basic principles of an effective design of management reports are described, with emphasis laid on the end user. The thesis focuses on important factors of efficiency, such as applicability of transferred information and the form of their transfer. The practical part concentrates on the improvement of the efficiency of a particular dashboard. Besides the rules of a correct design, knowledge of cognitive psychology is also used for this purpose. Upon an analysis of deficiencies of an existing dashboard, proposed changes are incorporated. Changes resulting in more effective transfer of information via a dashboard are based on a theoretical basis of the previous section.
