The use of the concept of basal stimulation in special primary school
SIEBENSTICHOVÁ, Pavla
This bachelor thesis deals with the application of the Basic Stimulation concept at special primary schools, i.e. schools serving for children suffering from serious forms of mental disability, in combination with potential other disabilities. The basic stimulation concept was created by the German special pedagogue Prof. Andreas Fröhlich in the 1970s, for the education of pupils suffering from serious mental or combined disabilities, at special schools. It was applied in nursing by Prof. Christel Binstein in the 1980s. In this area it also used in the Czech Republic for the first time at the beginning of this century, thanks to PhDr. Karolína Friedlová.The objective of this bachelor thesis was to find out in which way basic stimulation may be used at special primary schools and how it can be incorporated into the education programme. In accordance with this objective, my thesis contains a definition of the basic terms, a brief historical outline of the development of basic stimulation and its theoretical foundations, and subsequently the particular techniques that the concept makes use of. The most essential passage is the theoretical definition of possibilities of applying the concept in the special pedagogical practice, particularly at special primary schools. This part is completed with three case studies that present the real application possibilities of the basic stimulation concept at three special primary schools in scope of the whole Czech Republic.

The thesis presents theoretical approaches to the issue of national minorities and seeks to include two specific cases - Slovakia and Hungary - into this theoretical spectrum. Slovak and Hungarian minorities in Hungary and Slovakia respective are characterized at the same time. Territorial delimitation is obvious, time delimitation is primarily based in the first decade of the new millennium, ending in 2010. Theoretical part of the thesis is divided into two parts - first dealing with national and ethnic minorities (various classifications, terminology and characteristics), second with possible approaches of states to their national minorities (discussed are all conceivable approaches from the least favorable to the friendliest one). The practical part is divided into two main chapters, namely by surveyed countries - Slovakia and Hungary. Both of these chapters deal with national minorities in a given country, with the characteristics of these minorities and their legal status. Analysis of legal statuses of these minorities is based on international treaties, constitutions and laws of both countries. While Slovakia provides its minorities only with individual rights, Hungary introduced quite unusual system of personal cultural and schooling autonomy. The conclusion attempts to find the most...

Model Ecosystems in a School Garden and Their Use in the Teaching of Botany in the Lower Grades of Primary School
Jiříčková, Anna ; Skýbová, Jana (advisor) ; Pavlasová, Lenka (referee)
The idea of teaching pupils directly in the natural environment is not new at all. Similar ideas were already promoted by the famous Czech educator Jan Amos Komensky in the 17th century. But at his time, it was much easier to realize them. Nowadays, many city schools (and not only them) are situated far away from any kind of green. Then, it is quite demanding to reach a nice place where to spend a lesson of botany observing nature and learning to understand it. That is why using schoolgardens for purposes of learning in the natural environment seems to be quite reasonable - especially when the gardens are enriched by some models of ecosystems, that are typical for Czech landscape. Learning in such a type of garden is thought to have a very positive effect on pupils. It is believed to stop the process of children loosing contact with real nature and to help pupils develope a tight relation to it, which is very improtant for their environmental thinking. It is also absolutely sure, that active learning by manipulating real things and getting familiar with them by using all five senses makes the learning process efficient. Evaluation of the effectiveness of teaching vocational subjects depending on physical activity before schooling.
Janošíková, Martina ; Hanušová, Marie (advisor)
The period of transition to secondary school brings substantial changes in the requirements for study obligations, autonomy, communication, expression, or separated from their families in the form of staying at the dormitory. Students enrolled in sport centers, in addition to these changes, still struggling with the responsibilities associated with sport. Because they are students first through fourth grades of secondary schools and secondary vocational schools, an age when image self-I am, what I believe in, arises in interactions with the outside world and their own experience, plays a very important role to influence the environment, educators, teachers and trainers, with which students spend most of their time in practice. This study looks at students comprehensively in terms of personal development as a multifactorial biopsychosocial unit, in terms of cognitive and motivational processes, states and properties from the perspective of social psychology dealing with the interactions, relationships and communication, psychology of individuals within the social group and its importance for the development of the individual . It monitors conditions and educational outcomes in terms of educational psychology, dealing with forming properties, opinions, attitudes and value orientation from the perspective of educational psychology.

A development of the Czech secondary generel education after World War II (1945-1989)
Bauerová, Kateřina ; Koťa, Jaroslav (referee) ; Váňová, Růžena (advisor)
I will attempt to base my work on historical facts while describing the overall situation as it was perceived then. The post-war period was a time of reconstruction both in terms of economy and morals. In the education area, the renewed Republic faced a decision whether to continue the heritage of the First Republic and its experimental schools or whether to follow new trends from abroad (mainly the USSR). At that time the Communist Party already had a strong position but it is was still only one of the parties influencing the course of events in the country. The 4-year Gymnasium (secondary school) was re-established and it became a selective institution. The first attempts to unite the education system are starting to appear. Later on, prototypes of normalized schools are being founded. There is also a pressure to make schools public. The main effort is to increase the over-all expertise of the secondary school teachers. Most reforms fail due to the lack of financial resources in the post-war state. This time period may be described as the time the education system was searching for its identity. It was the time of discussion between the heritage of the First Republic and the accession of the Communist party and its aim to establish a unified education system.

Rausová, Markéta ; Valenta, Josef (referee) ; Váňová, Růžena (advisor)
The paper gives an account of the German secondary education in Brno during the years 1918-1945. The secondary education, within this paper, comprises training schools for teachers and technical and business schools as well. The purpose of the paper is to give a complete overview of the German secondary education in Brno during the given period of time, in the general context of education legislation. The analysis of the schools in Brno is preceded by a brief introduction to the system of secondary education in the Czechoslovak Republic and to the question of German secondary education in the Czechoslovak Republic. The paper examines the schools in Brno from diverse points of view (number of students, their religion and mother tongue, the percentage of female students, school financing and school fees, marking, …) and aims to describe the history of the schools and the relations among them. The source materials are primarily composed of documents written in German (school annual reports, anniversary memory books, principal and class registers, chronicles) and literature on secondary education of that period (predominantly by R. Neuhöfer). The work may serve as a basis for comparative works (to be compared with the Czech secondary schools in Brno, German secondary schools in Prague, etc.).

GRÚZ, Michael
The thesis Reader´s diary and ICT a traditional teaching method in the context of modern technologies is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with general principles of literature, literature reception and reader´s motivation. The attention is also paid to literary and reader´s education of children at school and in their free-time, including so-called pre-reading period as well. The main focus is on the impact of modern technologies on teaching literature and the method of a reader´s diary. The exploratory part includes outcomes of two questionnaire-based researches. The first one was designed for Czech language and literature teachers at secondary and lower level grammar schools, and its aim was to describe their attitude towards assigning, checking, evaluation and further use of readers´ diaries in literature lessons. The second questionnaire was focused on the pupils´ attitude towards assigned reading in relation to so-called online literature guide-books.
