Expressing the attributes in the greatest degree in spanish and czech magazines for young people
BOLECH, Václav
In this thesis we concentrate on superlatives and other expressions to the greatest degree. The aim of this thesis is to map these expressions in the Spanish language of the youth and the Czech language of the youth. The thesis is divided to several parts. The first part describes expressions to the greatest degree, elatives, superlatives or other expressions of intensification from several different perspectives and the diversity of different theories represented by czech and spanish linguists. Then we mention global influence of the Language and we stipulate hypothesis. And in the second part we analyze czech and spanish magazines for young people, finding superlatives, elatives or other terms expressing the greatest degree. The result of this thesis is a well-arranged and organized report about the frequency, mood and fashion of different expressions of intensification, elatives or superlatives. In the conclusion we graphically demonstrate the frequency of different expressions and we prove the theoretical hypotheses.

Influence of handball on the shoulder girdle state
Zemanová, Monika ; Nováková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Hošková, Blanka (referee)
Title: Influence of handball on the shoulder girdle state. Goal of the project: Examine and evaluate of functional condition of shoulder joints of young handball players on various player positions between input and output investigation. Suggestion of strengthening and stretching exercises for the area of shoulder girdle and finding if the exercises has some influence on the shoulder point as well as on the player performance. Method: We made comparison of input and output test results by the method of "kvasiexperimental" qualitative study. A modified questionnaire was given to each player before input investigation. Based on the questionnaire we learned deviations from the function, eventually the pain in the area of shoulder joint. After input investigation strengthening and stretching exercises of the shoulder girdle for 13 handball players on the various player positions in the youth team of Dukla Prague were suggested. Results: Results of the investigation of shoulder girdles in the group of handball players did not prove large number of subjective symptoms in the sense of pain and limitation. During clinical examination we also did not learn on any player results pointing the suspicion on expressive structural disorder of the monitored area. However the number of functional changes was...

Analysis of Speech Standard
NOVÁKOVÁ, Lucie
The aim of the diploma thesis is to give a partial characterization of speech of several age groups: ninth grade students, people aged 19-24 years, people aged 44-50 years and people aged 65 or more years and also draw a comparison between them in certain areas. The thesis contains the theoretical part, which focuses on simple functional communication style in general, non-verbal communication elements, symptoms suprasegmental speech marks and vocabulary range. The practical part is divided into two chapters. The first one describes necessities and areas of research. The second one provides a summary of speech specifics of individual age groups and mutual comparison of them. The practical part focuses on expression quality, ie., accuracy and linguistic correctness. It is also focused on the periphery of the vocabulary range.

Freedom of Expression and Censorship on the Internet and Social Networks
Reindl, Jan ; Čermák, Radim (advisor) ; Sova, Martin (referee)
This thesis is focused on freedom of expression and censorship on the internet and social networks. Its goal is to evaluate current situation of censorship of the internet, to describe the most often used methods of censorship and suppressing free speech, as well as methods of its circumvention. The thesis is focused on the progress of internet censorship in its shift from a tool of governmental domestic network control into a tool in the hands of multinational organizations. Some focus is also given to the importance of anonymity as a way to freedom of speech, and to the analysis of current situation and possible future outcomes. This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first one serves as an introduction into the problematics. Second chapter describes methods of internet censorship, the third one describes its circumvention. The fourth chapter looks into the current situation regarding the role of social media in terms of internet censorship and possible results of censorship as well as future evolvement. Fifth and last chapter is dedicated to research of anonymous parts of internet community that could otherwise face censorship.

Application of Monte Carlo simulations in banking
Boruta, Matěj ; Teplý, Petr (advisor) ; Fučík, Vojtěch (referee)
Currently, banking is exposed to huge market risks. One of those risks is occurrence of negative interest rates in the EU. Nowadays, it is important to use sophisticated and modern measurement tools and approaches to measure and manage banking risks. One of those methods is Monte Carlo simulation. This bachelor thesis is aimed at analysis and prediction of 3-month maturity Prague Interest Offer Rate (PRIBOR) for 3, 6 and 12 months with using Monte Carlo simulations. It was found that this method is suitable for prediction market variables with low volatility. If anybody uses this method, it is necessity to have in mind all pitfalls and assumptions, that this method includes, as an adequate random generated number of scenarios, approximation of correct probability distribution, independence of dataset and not least, as far as possible, to focus on factors generating randomness of market variable and not the prices, that express rather consequences of randomness than its cause. Further, the Monte Carlo prediction was compared with prognosis of the Czech Nation Bank and it was found that Monte Carlo prediction is more accurate for short term predictions. 12-month prediction of Monte Carlo simulation discovered also possible occurrence of negative interest rate at 0,05% level of probability in compare to the Czech National Bank prognosis, where was no negative interest rate predicted.

Problems of Oral Communication with Pupils from Minority Groups in Mathematics Lessons for Children from the Ages of Five to Eight
Fonferová, Eva ; Kaslová, Michaela (advisor) ; Šotolová, Eva (referee)
The diploma work maps difficulties with an understanding of words which express a mutual position of objects. Children from minority groups use a different structure of speech. It may be a reason of a communication misunderstanding and problems with mathematical tasks and excercises. We use special activities to test differences between Romany and Czech languages. And we test how these differences work when pupils do some exercises. It could be a basis for an individual approach to pupils from minority groups which could make a beginning of education of these children easier. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Inessive and adessive in the metonymical expressions of state of action on the boundary of spatiality and state
Jenerálová, Klára ; Lindroosová, Hilkka (advisor) ; Fárová, Lenka (referee)
In this work I analysed the semantic motivation of the Finnish local cases inessive and adessive in the metonymical expressions of state of action. I tried to analyse which metonymical expressions of state of action occur in inessive and which ones in adessive or in both cases and why. I defined the metonymical expressions of state of action as expressions in inessive or adessive expressed in the construction [theme + the verb olla/käydä + the expression in inessive/adessive], in which they obtain the meaning of state of action. This work provides a picture of the metonymical expressions of state of action in inessive/adessive in a corpus of 100 590 023 tokens selected from Kielipankki's corpus of the Finnish language. For analysing the metonymical expressions of state of action in inessive/adessive I used the analysis of state denoting local case expressions by T. Onikki-Rantajääskö (2001) and the analysis of spacial meanings of inessive and adessive by P. Leino (1989, 1993, 2002), which are both based on R. W. Langacker's cognitive grammar (1987, 1991, 2002) and on the cognitive linguistic approach in general. I chose this topic because the local case endings are polysemic, they express many meanings and the semantic contrasts expressed by them in the spacial field and in the metonymical expressions of...

Fado in the context of the city Lisbon
Kuhnová, Kristýna ; Matějů, Martin (referee) ; Czumalo, Vladimír (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the Lisbon cultural phenomenon of the traditional urban music, fado, with an emphasis on its professional practice. The paper informs about different cultural/historical approaches to the origins and evolution of fado music in the city of Lisbon, stressing the point of view of the Portuguese musicologist Rui Vieira Nery. It then moves on to explain the impact of dictatorship and later Salazar's fascist regime on the professionalization of fado during the years 1926 - 1974, which entailed a radical change of status of a fadista artist, who was abruptly separated from the original popular practise of fado. The next chapter focuses on the history of specific places of professional fado performance called fado houses, which emerged during the 1930s. The theoretical knowledge of the chapters "History of Fado Music", "Professionalization of Fado Music" and "History of Fado Houses" unites in a case study of a fado house called Mesa de Frades in the historical quarter of Lisbon - Alfama. The case study is based on a two-month field research in the city of Lisbon and aims at fado as a performance genre involving performers and audience in a communicative process using verbal, musical, facial and bodily expression. It includes observation of the musical roles of fado performers and their mode of...

Pina Bausch's dance theatre
Faustová, Markéta ; Augustová, Zuzana (referee) ; Christov, Petr (advisor)
Pina Bausch and the dance company Tanztheater Wuppertal inherently belong together. The choreographer became the head of this German dance company in 1973 and has led it since up today. She has never created choreography for any other dance group or other dancer. During this thirty-five years' connection the company moved among the top dance groups and stili achieve success worldwide. lt was and stili is an inspiration for many young authors. lt is a history, but also the presence at the same time. Right from the beginning of her career, Pina Bausch indicated that her work was going to be exceptional. For her, there were no barriers, neither in formulation of themes, nor in use of means of expression. She organically connected dance and theatre in her works and thus created a new art genre, which theoreticians call dance theatre. She managed to unite a multi-national group of twenty-six members, with which she worked very closely in preparation of particular pieces. Especially at the beginning, the dancers were forced to personally engage into each choreography. Preparation of a performance consisted in so-called principle of questions. Pina Bausch wanted her dancers to answer her questions by improvising a little dance or theatre sketch. Then, she was choosing from this amount of mate rial to form a base...

What is semantics?
Peregrin, Jaroslav
The traditional, Carnap's definition of semantics declares semantics to be the study of the relations between expressions and extralinguistic entities (while syntax is the the study of the relations among expressions and pragmatics is the study of the relations between expressions and their users). The paper argues that this definition is useless and proposes another one: semantics is the study of the 'basic' rules for using expressions (while syntax is the study of which expressions are used and pragmatics is the study of the residual aspects of their use).
