Endoscopic endonasal surgery of nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses from patient´s perspective
FURTÁKOVÁ, Jiřina
Respiratory diseases belong to the most common medical affections. Their first symptoms are now being shifted to the early infancy. Functional endoscopic endonasal surgery represents an important option in the treatment of upper airways, skull basis, lacrimal ducts and orbital affections. The aim of endoscopic endonasal surgery (EES) is the improvement of patient´s quality of life. There may be some transient postoperative complications. These include especially massive intranasal and intraorbital hemmorhage, optical nerve and orbital injury, intracranial penetration with subsequent liquor fistula or eventually meningitis and cerebral abscess. Postoperatively, patients are informed about about the regime measures by the nurse and doctor. The role of the nurse is, in cooperation with doctor, to deliver all the precise and relevant information to the patient. Full understanding and adequate adherence to these instructions has the potential to improve patient´s quality of life after EES. This bachelor´s dissertation is divided into theoretical and empirical section. Theoretical part focuses on the issues of endoscopic endonasal surgery, including preoperative and postoperative care. Further on, it explores the needs of patients undergoing this type of surgery with special attention to regime measures after hospital discharge to home care. The aim of the study was: 1. To identify the most common concerns that patient experiences in association with surgery. 2. To explore the unsaturated and unfulfilled needs of the patients in postoperative period. 3. To gather and explore patient´s opinions on nursing care. To investigate these aims four research questions were stated: 1. What are the most common preoperative concerns of the patients? 2. What are the patient´s most common needs in the postoperative period? 3. What are the patient´s unfulfilled needs? 4. What are the major problems in nursing care from patient´s point of view? Qualitative research investigation was used in this dissertation work. Semistructured interview was chosen as a method for data collection. The research investigation was conducted with hospital respondents at the end of hospital stay. All the interviews were anonymous, preceded by oral consent of the respondent, and were conducted in time period from 26. 2. to 30. 3. 2016. In conclusion, this dissertation project explored the basic issues of EES. The aim of this work was to create a basic data source of the patient´s problems and issues after ESS. The results of this bachelor´s dissertation could be used to improve and make nursing care of ESS Patients more effective. It may also serve as a study material for novice nurses of ear-nose-throat clinics and also be a guide for further researchers.

The occurrence of a considerable number of rare and protected lamprey and fish species in the Czech Republic is exclusive for the drainage area of the Morava River. Eudontomyzon mariae occurs only in the Račí potok Brook. Lampetra planeri occurs in a section ca 20 km long in the upper part of the Morava R. Romanogobio kessleri initially occurred only in the Bečva R. After 2000 was newly recorded in the Morava R. Romanogobio albipinnatus occurs in the lower reaches of the rivers Morava and Dyje; locally, we have observed in the upper parts of these rivers. After 1990 species Pelecus cultratus, Gymnocephalus schraetser, G. baloni, Zingel streber, and Z. zingel re-occurred in the confluence of Morava and Dyje rivers. The only actual range of Sabanejewia balcanica in the Czech Republic is in a short section of the Vlára R. (the Váh R. drainage area) near the boundary of Slovakia. Cobitis elongatoides occurs, in its pure form, only in the upper part of the Dyje R. drainage area.

Bašta, Jiří ; Míšková, Alena (advisor) ; Kocian, Jiří (referee) ; Kalous, Jan (referee)
People's Militia 1948-1969 Jiří Bašta Summary This dissertation deals with the armed forces of Czechoslovak communist party (CCP) called the People's Militia (PM), which became one of the guarantors of regime change in February 1948 and the subsequent development of communism. The text itself tries to capture the origin and evolution of the PM in the period from the factual establishment to the end of 1969. This topic has not been processed in this range before. These armed forces of the ruling CCP were formed on voluntary basis by proven members. The PM created the important preventive, repressive and also ideological support of the communist apparatus. Since its inception in 1948, over four decades of lack of freedom, conservative militias were the instrument of power of the totalitarian regime. Despite its importance, the PM were never firmly anchored in the Czechoslovak legislation. De facto, the PM were the "army of the party" outside the legal frame. The militia units developed into relatively well-organized armed forces with a wide scope to carry out tasks in the system of protection and defense of the communist regime ranging from guarding buildings, riots control and in case of war should this "army of the party" fulfill a lot of combat missions at the state territory. For this purpose the members...

Dependence of Sludge Thermal Pre-treatment on its Dewatering
Žerava, Zdeněk ; Houdková, Lucie (referee) ; Boráň, Jaroslav (advisor)
The first part of the thesis is focused on the problems related to sludge and evaluates sludge disposal from waste treatment plants. The thesis mentions factors influencing method selection of sludge disposal as well as it compares sludge disposal in the Czech Republic and in the other states of the EU. It describes a complete waste treatment line and sludge disposal in the area of sludge treatment and disposal. It deals with sludge disintegration and describes the most effective methods of disintegration. The second part of the thesis describes an experimental part of disintegration of waste treatment sludge. An experiment was conducted in the school laboratory in a way of thermal disintegration in the double-surface pressure tank. The disintegration was conducted to temperatures of 60 °C, 90 °C, 120 °C, 150 °C, and 180 °C. We monitored dependence of the sludge dry residue content on disintegration temperature as well as content of suspended solids in liquid fraction (FUGAT). It was possible to choose optimal temperature of disintegration in accordance with processed results.

Future groundwater development in the Jifarah Plain, Libya
Elgzeli, Yousef Mohamed ; Krásný, Jiří (advisor) ; Tesař, Miroslav (referee) ; Matula, Svatopluk (referee)
Libya as many other regions under arid climates suffer from inadequate water resources to cover all the needs of this rapidly developing country. Increasing water amounts for population supply, agricultural irrigation and use for industry are needed. As groundwater is the main water source in the country it represents a natural resource of the highest economic and social importance. Conceptual and numerical models were implemented in a regional scale to show how the natural situation has been changed after heavy groundwater abstraction having occurred in the last decades in the northwestern part of Libya. Results of the numerical model indicated that the current zones of depression in piezometric surface could have been caused by smaller withdrawn amounts than previously estimated. Indicated differences in assessed withdrawn groundwater volumes seem to be quite high and might influence considerably the future possibilities of groundwater use in the study region. 6
