Qualitative research into management of challenging situations by workers in the Long Term Care facility with a special regime for clients diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

This work deals with the origin and the solutions of difficult situations between clients diagnosed with Alzheimer disease and dementia and workers of the residential social service with special regime home and their interactions. The theoretical part will concentrate on clarification of the diagnosis, including symptoms, the associated memory and its disorders and communication. The work describes challenging situations encountered in the care of affected clients, the theory of frustration and stress, and also mentions a coping strategy. In the conclusion to the theoretical part, the work portrays the worker in relation to the client. The methods used for research are explained in the methodology section, that is the grounded theory, participating observation and the semi-structured interview. A social service institution was introduced in the research section, as well as an analysis of participating observations and individual semi-structured interviews according to the principle of grounded theory. The conclusion contains a summary of challenging situations encountered when working with the clients of the social service with special regime home, the specifics of aggressive situations, as well as the summary of emotions of the assisting staff and an overview of the control mechanisms of individual workers.

Risk group of persons with disabilities on the labour market in Prague from 2005 to 2015

The theoretical part of the Bachelor Thesis comprehensively illustrates the status and representation of persons with disabilities (PWD) on the current labour market in the Czech Republic. In a general manner, the Thesis looks at the employment policy as well; especially its legislative basis in the legal framework of the Czech Republic and selected EU countries. Furthermore, the legal obligations of employers of PWD and the possibilities of fulfilling the mandatory share of PWD employment are stated. Findings of two qualitative employment studies are presented showing that PWD enter the labour market equipped with specialized competencies, which they are willing to complete by retraining programmes in case of need. The employers perceive the employment of PWD mainly as a financial profit, granted to them by the state; and the legislative conditions are a sufficient incentive for them. The questionnaire survey pointed out that the weakness in the employment of PWD is the lack of part-time jobs, which are highly demanded among them. Therefore the Thesis presents a solution, which could be the creation of shared work positions.

Hospital strategy performance

This master's thesis called Hospital strategy performance deals with the strategic analysis of České Budějovice Hospital in relation to cost efficiency in this company. Information were provided during the interview with the company CEO, MUDr. Břetislav Shon. Primary input for financial analysis purpose were taken from the annual reports of 2011-2015. The introduction defines strategy and strategic analysis and the master's thesis' aims are specified. The theoretical part is based on theoretical definition and methodology of strategic analysis, the analytical process is introduced, as well as results evaluation based on specialized publication. The practical part consists of the description of the current situation in Czech health care, company introduction and the strategic analysis of the company. The conclusion includes the strategic analysis evaluation and recommendation for next steps.

Bussiness Project – Family Education Center

The main purpose of the Master Thesis is creation of the business plan on the establishment of the new preschool education institution Family Education Center. The center will be specialized in operating a kindergarten as well as in organizing educational and personal development activities for children and adults. The theoretical part of the thesis gives some insights on the importance of the entrepreneur and enterprises in the society, provides description of the basic requirements for a business plan and characteristics of the preschool education system in the Czech Republic. Practical part provides an application of the theoretical findings on the creation of the actual business plan. This part verifies the viability and competitiveness of the business project on the basis of the market analysis, marketing and financial plan.

Innovation activities in Germany in the context of smart specialisation

Economic growth is slowing in many countries. It leads to a discussion on what sources of growth should countries focus. For this purpose, EU created the concept of smart specialization, which puts an emphasis on the most efficient use of public financial resources dedicated to research and development. The aim of this thesis is to find out on what industry Germany as a leader of EU innovation and its individual regions specializes and to identify potential areas for targeting resources to innovation, research and development. This will be determined by using the patent network. The secondary objective is to interconnect findings of patenting and analysis of innovation activities in various regions of Germany with international trade and to determine whether there is a correlation between innovation activity in a particular sector and export of the sector's products abroad.

Possibilities of using cloud technologies in the area of shararing economy and FinTech

This thesis is mapping in a detail and describes the current situation and prediction of the penetration of information technology based mostly on the cloud and blockchain technologies into the real global economy and identifying trends that affect these areas. Focus is primarily on socialization of services, concept of sharing economy and financial-technology (FinTech) companies. Next part describes the process of maturing of information technologies, which enables bypassing of costly intermediaries, who are replaced by other users or advanced algorithms in the fields, which werent fundamentally touched by ICT until now. Work intersects the knowledge of the of the IT industry and minor specialization from FFU VSE.

Business plan for the food delivery service

The goal of the Master´s Thesis is to make a business plan which would reflect the business intention of its author for an online food delivery service, to be able to asses its viability and possibly its feasebility. The first part is theoretical and it is dealing with the necessities of such plan. Special attention is put on the structure of a business plan. Practical part of the thesis is dedicated to the individual parts of the plan. Firstly the business opportunity and the form of personnel is introduced. Secondly the analysis of the market, competition, suppliers and marketing strategy. The financial plan is than testing the feasibility of the idea form the economic perspective.

Multicriteria games

Theory of multicriteria games is a special field of game theory, when one or more players have at least two payoff functions and want to maximize simultaneously. The work introduces a number of new findings. It examined the concept of finding equilibria in pure strategies in noncooperative multicriteria game. It is possible to find all the equilibria in pure strategies by full search and solving two linear programs for each point. Furthermore, two linear programs are formulated for verifying that a selected point is the equilibrium of the game or not. In the noncooperative games is also introduced the concept that with knowledge of the equilibrium of bimatrix game determines preferences of the players. Although finding the equilibrium point of the bimatrix game is nonlinear problem, finding the preferences is linear problem. The latest findings in the noncooperative games is a generalization of the concept that solves multicriteria game by assigning weights to each criterion of each player. The work demonstrates that it may not be necessarily linear weights, but it can be more general function that describes the player's preference. The remaining part is devoted to knowledge in cooperative games. There is considered that the players know their preferences and are able to express them by weights. The game with known preferences is defined and solved with the use of bargaining theory. Then it is generalized to a case where players have more payoff functions, from which they can choose. Finally, the multicriteria case of voting game is defined. It is designed completely new concept, which selects the winning coalition in the voting game. This concept is then applied to the real situation after the elections to the Chamber of Deputies in 2013.

Inventarizace studánek v okolí Brněnské přehrady

Natural springs and small water sources have existed on Earth since prehistoric times, serving as natural waterholes. After the man had appeared on Earth, he started to take care of these water resources and thus, wells were created. They were often associated with legends about their healing power. In the course of time, the function of the wells has changed. First, hunter's wells and then agro-wells were formed and used for the cultivation of fields. Later, they also began to fulfil the function of pilgrimage and hiking points. This bachelor's thesis gives a list of wells in the surroundings of Brno Dam with a focus on the ones in which the water quality is very probably affected by human activities, such as by influence of agriculture, forestry or transport. The thesis deals with potential sources of threat for these small water sources and examines the factors affecting their quality and the relations among them. In its final part, it assesses the water quality of the selected wells on the basis of the carried out laboratory analyses, evaluates the risks related to its consumption and tries to answer the question, how these risks depend on the position of the wells.

Human devaluation by medical staff

The thesis deals with the issue of devaluation of persons by medical and paramedical employees. Health service is the field in which the human dignity should be respected. The devaluation of men/women occurs during social contacts and even in health service, situations leading to devaluation may occur due to unconscious and unaware communication. For mutual contacts of the (para)medical employee and the patient, not only a good knowledge of psychology, but first of all the ability to apply adequately communication skills in practice is necessary. The patient should not represent for medical staff only diagnosis, but first of all he/she should be seen as a human being. Behavior of (para)medical employees should be supporting and strengthening, it should not only contribute to a quick recovery, but also to the psychological balance and well-being of patients. Three goals were postulated for the purposes of this thesis. The first goal was to find out if the devaluation of men/women by a (para)medical employee occurs during the hospitalization. It follows from the results of the research that situations of patient devaluation by the medical employee occur really. The purpose of the second goal was to find out the ways of person devaluation during the hospitalization. It follows from the investigation that the devaluation may take place in different ways. The research questions cover practically with this goal. The most frequent way of devaluation is unsuitably conducted communication of medical employees. The third goal was to find out if the medical staff has an impact on the devaluation of man. Patients do not have experience with an arrogant behavior but consider it as devaluing. It was found out by the investigation that the personal staff has an affects the devaluation of man because individual members of the nursing team contributes to the devaluation of the patient. These, was confirmed by the answers of patients in quantitative research. The respondents believe that the number of the medical staff rather does not support evaluation of the patients. It can be concluded that the personal staff in some way affects the devaluation.
