Experiment CAPEX-U: Současnost a Budoucnost
Frolov, Oleksandr ; Koláček, Karel ; Štraus, Jaroslav ; Schmidt, Jiří ; Boháček, Vladislav ; Prukner, Václav
A new pulse capillary discharge driver with a laser-triggered main spark gap has been developed. The assembled CAPEX-U device consists of a Marx generator, of a pulse forming line, a gas-filled laser-triggered spark gap and a ceramic capillary. Its design was supported by mapping of electrostatic fields in the most exposed regions and by analysis of an equivalent circuit. Operation of the laser-triggered spark gap was tested on a single-channel model. In the paper, the results of the modelling and of the first electrical tests of the whole device (capillary current and voltage at the end of pulse forming line) are presented.

"He has paid and owes nothing." Aspects of the transaction with the serf estate in the town of Mělník in the 17th century
Koumar, Jiří ; Čechura, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Maur, Eduard (referee) ; Chocholáč, Bronislav (referee)
The thesis deals with the issue of property transfer of servile real estates in the Estate of Melnik during the 17 century. As the main resource material was used the collection of Melnik Books of Land Ownership founded during the 80s of the 16 century. After the Thirty Years' War these books were restored in connection with the afterwar reconstruction of the Estate of Melnik and were published in a new edition until the turn of the 17 and 18 century. Besides these Books of Land Ownership we also studied other kinds of resources such as land and duties registers, land-registries, inventories and estimations which originated in the 17 century with respect to this Estate. In the end of the 17 century was formed a uniquely preserved register of serfs which enables us not only to have better knowledge of the structure of settled farmers themselves but also create the first picture of general structure of servile population in the Estate. In the introduction I tried to place the Estate of Melnik in the structure of Early Modern Times country estates. With the size ranging from medium to smaller the Estate of Melnik was formally as a chamber estate in possession of the Czech king for the most of its development in the period of Early Modern Times. Nevertheless in reality the Estate as a pawned land was held by...

Taking into Account Number of Children in Pension System
Bechníková, Eva ; Klazar, Stanislav (advisor) ; Schvábová, Andrea (referee)
In this thesis is introduced unusual approach of pension system which takes into account number of behaved children. Attention is given to evaluation and comparison of the specific proposals of this approach if they can contribute to financial sustainability of the pension system. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on classification of pension systems generally and characterization of the pension system in the Czech Republic. In the practical part of my thesis, the comparison between costs for raising a child and the state children financial support is shown on the theoretical example for parents with average salaries. Finally there are two recommended proposals of pension system which take into account number of children. The first one is based on implementation of mandatory funded pillar. The second concept operates within pay-as-you-go system with implementation of generation fund. The generation fund represents financial reserve to cover pensions in the period when productive generation will not be able to finance pensions sufficiently.

The thesis deals with the analysis of possibilities for use of III. and IV. generation of nuclear reactors for the Czech Republic. Introduction deals with basic principles of nuclear energetics and fuel cycle which is closely associated with the issue and its development and application in practice will have a significant effect both for choice of future types of nuclear reactors of IV. generation and the matter of settlement with spent nuclear fuel. In other parts the thesis deals with the present state of nuclear energetics in the Czech Republic, compares concrete chosen types of nuclear power plants of III. generation and generally describes nuclear reactors and power plants of IV. generation. Final part of the work is focused on questions concerning the possibility of construction of new blocks of nuclear power plants in the Czech Republic and presents concrete recommendation from author´s point of view.

Changes in following the Romani traditions and customs
KVASNIČKOVÁ, Kateřina
This thesis deals with changes in following traditions and customs in the Romani lives and its aim is to map and describe these changes. In its first, theoretical part there is a description of important times in the history of the Romani living on the Czech land, in which the Romani were, often under the threat of loss of their freedom, and sometimes even life, forced to change their lifestyle and adapt themselves to the majority society. The influence of the society was the reason why the Romani stopped following some of their traditions and customs and did not pass them on to the younger generations of the Romani; that is why, with time, many traditions and customs became forgotten. The second, practical part contains interviews with concrete Romani, their assessment and discussion, in which there is a comparison of the information I got with the data gathered by the authors quoted. After assessment of the interviews it is evident that the older Romani and the Romani born before the 1980 are well aware of their traditions and customs and follow some of the traditions in their families. The younger generation, however, are not interested in the traditional life of their ancestors, they do not follow the traditions and customs by themselves; they have adapted their lifestyles and systems of values to the majority society; they often do not consider themselves to be Romani.

Consumer Behaviour Analysis in the field of Fair Trade products
JANDOVÁ, Lucie
The topic of this bachelor thesis is analysis of consumer behaviour in the field of Fair Trade products in the Czech Republic. It investigates the extent of awareness of consumers about Fair Trade products and analyzes purchase behaviour in this area of Supply which is dependant on the age of consumers. Younger generation is more aware of such designated products, however, doesn{\crq}t buy them up to such extent like the elder generation. Further it strives to point at the fact that consumers are not sufficiently informed about Fair Trade and about its goals. Therefore products are not being bought in such extent. At the same time the thesis brings information that Fair Trade products are bought namely due to help to other people. It also solves type questions: "What products are bought the most?", "Where products are bought the most?" or "Are the consumers satisfied with them?". Finally the thesis deals with suggestions for improvement of current status which dominates in the Czech Republic.

The business plan for SnackBag company and its expansion into the foreign markets
Ježová, Jana ; Svobodová, Ivana (advisor) ; Srpová, Jitka (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to create a business plan for the newly established business subject in the health food industry and evaluate the viability of the plan. The plan also includes the choice of the appropriate form of potential expansion into the foreign market. This thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. To create this business plan, firstly it was necessary to write down the complex theoretical framework of the basic aspects which are crucial for small and medium businesses. Secondly, it was needed to sum up the general principles of creating a business plan, characterise its structure and mention the most common mistakes and problems that entrepreneurs may encounter. The theoretical part is concluded by a description of the appropriate forms of expansion for small and medium businesses. Based on this theoretical framework the business plan for the company SnackBag was created with the emphasis on the project´s financial calculation. The calculations confirm the business plan as viable. Analysis of the main advantages and disadvantages of particular forms of expansion to foreign markets concludes that the franchise was evaluated as the most suitable for SnackBag.

Analysis and design of intranet structure
Novák, Miroslav ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Šedivá, Zuzana (referee)
Nowadays, Intranet is an inseparable part of every company, notwithstanding of their size or field of activity. Both, in my work and personal life, I often come across different intranets that usually do not get a positive response. But they usually have the same source of the problem, which is based on their wrong structure. This is why is chose this topic for my thesis. The goal of my thesis is to perform an analysis of an existing intranet of a particular company and subsequently create a design of the intranet new structure using the card-sorting method. This thesis primarily represents a generalized method of how to proceed during such realization and which areas to look into. Theoretical part of this thesis covers the topics of information architecture and also the term intranet itself, where the most frequent issues I came across in the intranets are pointed out. Practical part covers the analysis itself, where I focus on the structure of the existing intranet, categorization of its content, connections with other systems, customization, permission management, surveys of contentment, and intranet usage. The analysis is performed manually by scanning through the existing intranet of the company, since other methods or approaches could not be applied due to technical limitations or insufficient permis-sions. Based on the outputs of the analysis, web categorizations and the card-sorting method, a design of a structure of the new intranet has been proposed. The design itself is a demonstration of the method how to approach the new intranet design.

Clustering and regression analysis of micro panel data
Sobíšek, Lukáš ; Pecáková, Iva (advisor) ; Komárek, Arnošt (referee) ; Brabec, Marek (referee)
The main purpose of panel studies is to analyze changes in values of studied variables over time. In micro panel research, a large number of elements are periodically observed within the relatively short time period of just a few years. Moreover, the number of repeated measurements is small. This dissertation deals with contemporary approaches to the regression and the clustering analysis of micro panel data. One of the approaches to the micro panel analysis is to use multivariate statistical models originally designed for crosssectional data and modify them in order to take into account the within-subject correlation. The thesis summarizes available tools for the regression analysis of micro panel data. The known and currently used linear mixed effects models for a normally distributed dependent variable are recapitulated. Besides that, new approaches for analysis of a response variable with other than normal distribution are presented. These approaches include the generalized marginal linear model, the generalized linear mixed effects model and the Bayesian modelling approach. In addition to describing the aforementioned models, the paper also includes a brief overview of their implementation in the R software. The difficulty with the regression models adjusted for micro panel data is the ambiguity of their parameters estimation. This thesis proposes a way to improve the estimations through the cluster analysis. For this reason, the thesis also contains a description of methods of the cluster analysis of micro panel data. Because supply of the methods is limited, the main goal of this paper is to devise its own two-step approach for clustering micro panel data. In the first step, the panel data are transformed into a static form using a set of proposed characteristics of dynamics. These characteristics represent different features of time course of the observed variables. In the second step, the elements are clustered by conventional spatial clustering techniques (agglomerative clustering and the C-means partitioning). The clustering is based on a dissimilarity matrix of the values of clustering variables calculated in the first step. Another goal of this paper is to find out whether the suggested procedure leads to an improvement in quality of the regression models for this type of data. By means of a simulation study, the procedure drafted herein is compared to the procedure applied in the kml package of the R software, as well as to the clustering characteristics proposed by Urso (2004). The simulation study demonstrated better results of the proposed combination of clustering variables as compared to the other combinations currently used. A corresponding script written in the R-language represents another benefit of this paper. It is available on the attached CD and it can be used for analyses of readers own micro panel data.
