Criminal actions of minors and their causes.
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Vendula
Minor criminality is a topic, which lately starts to draw an attention to itself by rising of crimes and especially by a low age of offenders. Media always offer to a listener or reader a result of an offense but never look at the cause which led the minor offender to such an act. A current hot topic still remains an age reduction of the criminal responsibility to 14 years, this change already took place, but before it became effective, the age for the criminal responsibility was returned to 15 years. For the reason of continual problems to discuss the issue I consider the topic to be interesting and actual for the processing of the bachelor thesis. The theoretical part of the thesis was focused on a definition of fundamental concepts, a structure of the criminality divided into basic types of crimes occurring at the minors. Then it was focused on measures imposed on minors for their offenses. The second part of the theory was focused on the psychological development of a child till its pubescence. Last but not least there were stated causes of delinquent behaviour and organizations cooperating with the minors who committed the offense. The aim of the thesis is to inform the public about the issue and to highlight the problem which should not be taken into account only in consequences, but above all to be focused on the causes. Perpetrators are people who should be the future for a further development of the society. The research method was a secondary data analysis provided by trustees for the youth. From obtained data there were prepared case studies concerning minors to 15 years and minors over 15 year. For the practical part five research questions were stated. The first three of them solve the questions, whether the crimes were rather committed by minors to 15 years or minors older than 15 years, they were followed up by questions whether the minors continue in criminal activities and what measures were imposed on them. Subsequent two questions should investigate whether a dysfunctional and incomplete family has an impact on the criminal activity and whether a peer group/gang influenced the committed offenses.

Body - Physicality - Image between Art Education and Drama Education
Linhartová, Kateřina ; Šamšula, Pavel (advisor) ; Slavík, Jan (referee) ; Machková, Eva (referee)
Summary: We work on the assumption that art education as well as the whole educational system should deal with the current issue of "the turn towards body and physicality". Human body, unlike the new rapidly developing media, is the oldest medium that our forefathers used as a means of expression. This may be the cause of the erroneous assumption that we can use this tool without actually learning to use it as we do when working with other visual media. We are attempting to refute this common fallacy. On that account we examine the possibilities of inclusion of a joint concept of art and drama education into regular lessons at primary schools as well as other types of schools. Our aim also is to develop the dialogue between art education and drama education. This work seeks to phrase the reasons and search for the ways of development of physical skills and abilities in art education based on the drama education methodology, while searching for a new concept of work with imagery in drama education in order to achieve its objectives. The researched joint art and drama concept relates to the new concept of the subject of Art and Drama Education taught at the Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague. Key words: body, physicality, body scheme, body image, image, semiotic body, body representation,...

The influence of literature on the process of standardising the Kajkavian language region
Jirásek, Karel ; Kvapil, Miroslav (advisor) ; Rychlík, Jan (referee) ; Vinkler, Jonatan (referee)
The dissertation looks at the influence that literary works have had on the process of the language standardisation of the Croatian Kajkavian language. At the same time it follows the formation of the standard Slovenian language in Slovenian literature. Despite the fact that Kajkavian dialects are neighbours to the Slovenian dialects and are closely related to them, the language standardisation of the Kajkavian and Slovenian languages took place independently of each other, influenced by different historical conditions, and is therefore two separate processes which, however, are subject to the same regularities. The introduction looks at the European context of the formation of literatures in national languages and the fundamental changes that occurred following the expansion of book-printing. In it the author describes the factors that had an impact on the genre composition and literary production in national languages. The expansion of book-printing also caused the need for creating and standardising languages incorporating several dialects over larger territories. In this part the beginnings of Croatian and Slovenian book-printing are discussed and also a comparison is made with the situation in the Czech lands and the German and Italian environment. The main part of the dissertation deals with two...

Multiculture Education in Czech Basic Schools
Pařízková, Petra ; Dobiášová, Karolína (advisor) ; Jelínková, Marie (referee)
Czech society's attitudes to minorities are relatively negative or xenophobic. Due to globalization is the number of immigrants in our society permanently rising and that's why it's necessary to prepare next generations, via multicultural education, to living in plural society and to respecting different ways of life. That's why I deal with the question, how multicultural education works in practice in my diploma thesis. The aim is trough qualitative research (document analysis and case study) find out activities of state, non-governmental sector and teachers and possible shortcomings in multicultural education. Another aim is to explore results of multicultural education that means knowledge of students and whether the number of minorities in school could affect multicultural education. This hypothesis wasn't validated and the research exposed that different number of minorities in school doesn't affect the education. However, what could negatively affect multicultural education are medium, unsuitable educational materials, unsatisfactory training of teachers and control of multicultural education in practice, causing that students are quite good informed on the one hand, nevertheless they got negative attitudes to minorities on the other hand.

Vampires and Vampirism in archaeological publications in terms of taphonomy and forensic anthropology.
Drahošová, Michala ; Brůžek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Velemínský, Petr (referee)
The topic of vampires and vampirism raises a deep interest among literary authors, readers, the media, and the general public. This topic is also very important from the historical and archaeological point of view, such as when anti-vampiric measures used to be taken on dead bodies in the past. Lately, this topic has become a phenomenon in the interpretation of atypical funeral rites. This thesis deals with some archaeological cases that are interpreted as vampiric funerals. It is extremely important to make a taphonomic analysis, get high quality pictures, and photographic documentation of the particular situation for a non-standard and correct interpretation of the funeral. The knowledge of taphonomy, archeotanatologie and forensic anthropology allow for an explanation of some of the reported anti-vampiric measures in many of these cases. However, it is often difficult or even impossible to trace the detailed documentation of the published vampiric burials. Natural decay and geological processes play an important role in the interpretation of these causes, as well. Non-standard funerals can exist but, as this thesis concludes, it would be a mistake to immediately identify any atypical findings as a vampire without further examination and taphonomic analysis. It is important to revise old...

The Media Influence on Transformation of Democracy
Půlpánová, Barbora ; Pehe, Jiří (advisor) ; Slačálek, Ondřej (referee)
Mass media has always played the key role in democratic process. They are not only the indicator of its right functioning, but also the iniciator. From historical point of view is obvious, that technological progress and changes in the way of informing people were related to the political area. But with the increasing role of media, they changed their position from pure mediators of informations to the main actors of social and political life. The ‚old' media, such as newspapers, radio and television, are therefore partly responsible for commercialization of the public sphere and also for its depolitization. With contribution of the globalization effect on today's world, which causes besides other things the weakening of the nation state, there are only a little of the key democratic aspects left. Some find the solution in the ‚new' media represented by the Internet and social media, which are more interactive so they could get the citizens back to the game. And right in the increase of civic engagement see the theorists the potencial for creating a new democratic order based on high-level participation. KEY WORDS Mass media, Democracy, Public Sphere, Civic Engagement, Internet, Social media, Participative Democracy, Deliberative Democracy

Fluidized-bed Combustion of Dry Stabilized Sewage Sludge in Oxy-fuel Mode
Moško, Jaroslav ; Pohořelý, Michael ; Durda, Tomáš ; Zach, Boleslav ; Šyc, Michal ; Svoboda, Karel
Sewage sludge is an inevitable waste stream from wastewater treatment and its disposal is complicated due to specific characteristics of its composition. Sewage sludge combustion/incineration is the only suitable way for disposal of large volumes of sewage sludge containing POPs and some heavy metals. Sewage sludge combustion reduces the volume of such waste and causes destruction of organic contaminants. Oxy-fuel combustion is a technology for simplifying CO2 sequestration from the flue gas by using nearly pure oxygen instead of air for the combustion. In order to control the combustion temperature, part of the flue gas is recycled to combustion chamber. The paper brings information about investigation of the effects of combustion temperature and concentration of oxygen in inlet combustion media on the emissions of NOx, N2O and SO2 in FB combustion of sewage sludge. The experimental results have shown that an increase in combustion temperature leads to an increase in NOx and to a decrease in N2O emissions in the temperature range 750–930 °C. The lowest SO2 emissions were measured in the temperature interval from 800 to 820 °C in all experiments with different oxygen concentration in inlet gas. It was found that when the oxygen concentration in inlet gas increased, the emissions of SO2 increased while emissions of NOx slightly decreased.
