DEEP STABILIZING MUSCLES
ŘEHŮŘKOVÁ, Markéta
The topic of this bachelor thesis is a deep stabilization system. The system consists of muscles which stabilize the backbone while at rest or in motion. A dysfunction of the deep stabilization system is one of many potential causes of vertebrogenic disorders and a targeted affecting of the deep stabilization system of the backbone is a fundamental therapeutic method in treatment of back pain. The purpose of the first part of this thesis was to process information available in literature about this issue. The theoretical part of this thesis contains information about the anatomy, function, examination options and some principles and methods of therapeutic affecting of the deep stabilization system. The purpose of the research part of this thesis was to select suitable clients for effective treatment of the deep stabilization system and practical verification of the individual examination and therapeutic methods used in physiotherapy to treat vertebrogenic disorders. The practical part of this bachelor thesis uses methods of qualitative research and case studies. The research was conducted in an outpatient department of the rehabilitation ward of the hospital in Blansko. The tested group consisted of three female patients with vertebrogenic disorders who were monitored for several months. The results have been processed in form of case reports. After their deep stabilization systems were affected all the patients have reported improvement of the disorder and reduction of pain; the patients learned to breathe correctly and to activate their deep stabilization muscles, including strengthening and relaxation of the pelvic bottom and autotherapy exercises. The treatment was completed with a final examination which demonstrated that the care of the patients´ deep stabilization systems effectively reduced their symptoms, which means that the purpose of the research part of this thesis has been fulfilled. This bachelor thesis may be used in clinical physiotherapeutic practice.

Embrittlement of TiAl intermetalics induced by surface oxidation
Fukátková, Pavla ; Jan, Vít (referee) ; Dlouhý, Ivo (advisor)
This work aimed to study the effect of surface oxidation of TiAl intermetallic alloys, its fracture behavior and study the formation and stability of picked coatings that could prevent these phenomena. ?-TiAl alloy (Ti46Al7Nb) was examined by three different coatings (AlCr, AlCrN and AlCrNAg). Firstly, it was carried out short-term exposure to high temperature in an inert atmosphere for all coatings. Secondly, there were experiments of cyclic exposure to high temperature in normal atmosphere and isothermal high-temperature exposure in a normal atmosphere. During high-temperature experiments in normal atmosphere mass gain was measured and it was monitored a surface texture. Finally, the most promising coatings were chosen, and those were evaluated in bending strength.

Predominantingly is described the process in digestion tanks, therefore stabilization process, whereas the paper is focused on sludge pre-treatment (disintegration) of waste activated sludge before stabilization. The second part of this thesis is focused on the design of the disintegration unit for the wastewater treatment sludge in assist with experimental data. According to measured and fixed parameters the unfired pressure vessel has been designed. On the vessel has been further realized the strength calculation, the heat balance and the economic balance.

Possibilities of physical therapy in females with muscular dysbalances of the type of the upper crossed syndrome
Tetřevová, Eva ; Smolíková, Libuše (advisor) ; Smékal, David (referee)
Upper-crossed syndrome is, according to Janda, described as a muscle imbalance in the upper part of the body, which significantly affects function of the cervical spine, the thoracic spine and the shoulder girdle. The non-physiological function and the position in these parts further influence, above all, respiratory stereotype - upper breathing - and body statics. Therapy is based on influencing the deep stabilizing system, followed by a therapy focused on the place of malfunction and the kinesiology count. Therapy of deep stabilization system complex infuences breath and postural function in their mutual coordination and it is program-controlled by CNS. Importance of close connection of breath and postural functions ensues from the fact, that respiratory muscles participate in internal stabilization with deep spinal muscles. Fluidized-bed Combustion of Dry Stabilized Sewage Sludge in Oxy-fuel Mode
Moško, Jaroslav ; Pohořelý, Michael ; Durda, Tomáš ; Zach, Boleslav ; Šyc, Michal ; Svoboda, Karel
Sewage sludge is an inevitable waste stream from wastewater treatment and its disposal is complicated due to specific characteristics of its composition. Sewage sludge combustion/incineration is the only suitable way for disposal of large volumes of sewage sludge containing POPs and some heavy metals. Sewage sludge combustion reduces the volume of such waste and causes destruction of organic contaminants. Oxy-fuel combustion is a technology for simplifying CO2 sequestration from the flue gas by using nearly pure oxygen instead of air for the combustion. In order to control the combustion temperature, part of the flue gas is recycled to combustion chamber. The paper brings information about investigation of the effects of combustion temperature and concentration of oxygen in inlet combustion media on the emissions of NOx, N2O and SO2 in FB combustion of sewage sludge. The experimental results have shown that an increase in combustion temperature leads to an increase in NOx and to a decrease in N2O emissions in the temperature range 750–930 °C. The lowest SO2 emissions were measured in the temperature interval from 800 to 820 °C in all experiments with different oxygen concentration in inlet gas. It was found that when the oxygen concentration in inlet gas increased, the emissions of SO2 increased while emissions of NOx slightly decreased.

Infiltration pattern changes related to the presence of soil
Votrubová, Jana ; Kosugi, K. ; Mizuyama, T.
For a period of three years, soil moisture distribution was monitored within a 50 cm × 50 cm transect on a forested hill-slope (Fudoji experimental watershed, central Japan). The site is covered by the forest brown soil (Cambisol) approx. 1 m deep underlain by weathered granite bedrock. Soil 25 moisture probes (CS615 Water Content Reflectometer, Campbell Scientific, Inc.) arranged in a 5×5 matrix spaced by 10 cm were used. The readings were collected in 5-minute intervals. The aim of the study was to assess temporal stability of the infiltration process under natural conditions.

Mechanochemical Preparation of Alumina-Ceria
Jirátová, Květa ; Spojakina, A. ; Tyuliev, G. ; Balabánová, Jana ; Kaluža, Luděk ; Palcheva, R.
Ceria containing catalysts play an essential role in heterogeneous catalytic processes. However, ceria shows poor thermal stability and low specific surface area and therefore, many studies have been done to improve its properties by combination with other oxides. Alumina-ceria is substantial component of the three ways catalysts, due to the ceria ability to function as the buffer of oxygen and to enhance the oxygen storage capacity of the catalysts. Ceria in these catalysts also functions as structural promoting component, increasing alumina stability towards thermal sintering. Promising method of oxides preparation, very interesting and simple but not sufficiently studied yet is a mechanochemical synthesis. Here we report on the synthesis of nano-sized alumina, ceria and ceria-alumina of various compositions by a wet solid phase mechanochemical reaction of hydrous aluminum, and/or cerium nitrate with ammonium bicarbonate after addition of a small amount of water. The aim of this contribution is to study processes being in progress during synthesis of the mixed oxides, interaction between components and their mutual effect on the properties of resulting products. The phase evolution during mechanical milling and the subsequent heat treatment of precursors were studied by X-ray diffraction, DTA/TG, H2-TPR, NH3-TPD, CO2-TPD, N2 adsorption at -195°C, IR, and XPS spectroscopy. Alumina and mixtures of alumina with different quantities of CeO2 (1- 18 wt. %) were synthesized by mechanochemical method from aluminum nitrate, cerium nitrate and ammonia bicarbonate.

Kejdušová, Michaela ; Maslowski, Nicolas (advisor) ; Rolenc, Jan Martin (referee)
The Iran's nuclear program makes really deep wrinkles to the United States as one of the main supporters of peace and stability in the world. Despite the fact that Iran has not showed any tests of its nuclear weapons, the USA still tends to destroy Iranian nuclear facilities to protect its national interests. The aim of the thesis is not only to analyze US foreign policy towards Iran but also to deal with the issue of the US non-intervention of Iranian territory to halt the Iranian nuclear program.
