Team leadership in the hospital

The first objective of the bachelor?s thesis was to assess the team via the first line manager. With regard to this issue, I had created the related questionnaires. I have also applied the method of interviews. Based on these methods, I have acquired information that helped me to understand the team management from the view of the first-line manager. The second objective of my thesis was to propose measures to develop teamwork in the above stated organisation. This included the assessment of the manager and their duties and the team management and their motivation for a consistent or better performance. I found some shortfalls at this point which I have addressed and further suggested certain measures.

Řízení lidí v multikulturním prostředí

The main objective of the thesis was to define and analyze key aspects of managerial work in multicultural environment, in one of the Shared Services Center department, of multinational company based in Prague, Czech Republic. Further thesis aimed to define essential competencies of the successful manager and leader driving performance of multicultural department and provides recommendations to improve managerial performance in key aspects of manager s work such as communication, motivation, performance management and cross-cultural leadership. It is argued that presence of intercultural interactions between managers and their subordinates, impacts effectiveness of the managerial performance. Thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. First part of the thesis explores theoretical concepts regarding culture, communication, motivation and leadership with respect to multicultural environment specifics. In the second part, used research methods, conducted research analysis and outcomes are presented. Further in practical part recommendation towards analyzed aspects of managerial work that would lead to higher overall department performance are defined.

Everything stands and falls with leadership

The bachelor thesis is focused in theoretical way, with aim to clarify the issue of leadership and its importance. To focus on its individual parts and define the managing and leading people including their comparison. Subsequently on theoretical bases using own discretion, come after suggestion of the principals and tools for effective leading, which should be leaders own. Leader should acquire these tools to upgrade his abilities in leading people. First part is focused on the history of management, following part define the management in its complexity. Next part analyze the difference between the managing and leading people. The aim of third chapter is to suggest the mentioned tools and abilities. Fourth chapter is given to a new trend in leadership development. Part of this chapter is given to thought of outdated paradigms, including also the clarification of complexity leadership theory. Conclusion of the thesis is given to summary of acquired knowledges.

Irena Lhotková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The final study deals with the issue of management - in terms of managing an organization, and with the issue of leadership - leading people. The theoretical part will clarify both particular terms: management and leadership in the first place. This part is based mainly on literature. This issue follows from a current problem, which is the fact that directors understand the role of leading people less important than the role of managing organization, or they marginalize this role for lack of time and pay more attention to economic and administrative work. Then, there is a problem to lead a nursery school. 6 Work with people is often disregarded and underestimated in schooling; most of schools is managed too much, and, on the other hand, there is a lack of leadership. This thesis follows results of Věra Fantová's research study from 2004. This research study confirmed that manager activities predominate over pedagogical activities. The study proved that directors are often burdened by frequently changed legislation, they have lack of time for pedagogical leading of school, and united school directors worry about leading people. Nowadays it is more a more important and harder to keep the empleyees motivated and therefore coaching and motivation are becoming increasingly common means managers. The theoretical part is reader closer familiar with leadership a different types of motivation a coaching. The practical part is focused on the work of managers with their employees. In this part is done sociological research, a directed interview, which will help us compare different approaches of managers to their subordinate and then recommending the best proces.

Human resource management

Human resource management is a deliberate approach to managing people who are employed in a particular organization and under the management leadership contribute to achieving organizational goals with their performance. Managing people is associated with personal strategy and policy,which have an important role in working with human resources. This issue is concerned in thesis. In the context of human resource management also deals with the culture of the organization and its influence on performance. Thi is followed by the analysis of management remuneration and the impact of motivation onemployee performance. The analytical part is aimed at exploring the effectiveness of human resources management in a particular company. The goal was to study the overall rate of employee satisfaction. We found out, that in a small business there is a noticeable change within two years. It also turned up, that the company completely changed the social climate and the age structure of employees.

Posouzení stylů vedení lidí a jejich dopadů na pracovní skupinu

This bachelor thesis is dealing with issue, how the leadership style influ-ence employees and its impact on general satisfaction. Using data collected by questionnaire investigation, the leadership style and its impact on employees was found. On the base of empoyees and managers responses was identified strengts and weaknesses in leadership style of the manager. Afterwards, the proposals on modification of the leadership style, which will lead to better satisfaction of the working team, was recomended.
