The natural seasonal changes in the food choice and digestive tract of wild ruminants
Kamler, Jiří ; Homolka, Miloslav
Herbivore populations all over Europe have been strongly influenced by human activities. A combination of harvest, changes in forest structure, supplementary feeding, predator extirpation and others factors have led in most cases to increases of their populations and a severe impact on the composition and structure of the forest vegetation. The food choice of free living ungulate species is strongly influenced by season and animal species and changes in diet composition and quality cause the changes in the digestive tract. Effective management of ungulate populations and forest ecosystems should be based not only on detailed information about the impact of deer browsing and the number of deer to harvest but also on the density of deer species, the food supply, the structure of diets consumed by individual species, attraction and quality of the individual components of food supply the total quality of food taken and seasonal changes in digestive tract.

The Importance of Myth for Modern Man
Najbrt, Tomáš ; Balabán, Milan (advisor) ; Hošek, Pavel (referee)
"The Importance of myth for modern man" is a study which deals with myth and its importance for modern man. It describes several essential views on myth and indicates different types of myth and its interpretation. It tries to define modernity, modern society and modern man as a part of this society. There is a concrete example of historical myth: cosmogonic myth. It demonstrates context with conception of creation in general in different mythologies which work with theme of water and world formation from waters. This study evaluates importance of this myth for modern man. Example of unhistoric myth was defined and termed as "myth of Man". It tries to document, modern man needs myth as much as man of archaic society. Comparing of historical and unhistorical myth displays, that it is still a myth on principle, which has only different form. This work continues with general valuation of importance of myth for modern man. Study evaluates this importance as very serious and interprets myth as an integral part of human way of thinking about world and human being in this world. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Influence of storage conditions on content of biologically active substances in apple fruits.
Ferdová, Jitka ; Čarnecká, Martina (referee) ; Márová, Ivana (advisor)
This study deals with antioxidants in diet and their effects on human organism. Further, it summarizes the agents affect the quality of apples in the course of long-term storage and it outlines the possibility of defence against them. In the experimental part methods of determination of antioxidant enzymes superoxid dismutase (SOD), catalase and polyphenol oxidace (PPO) in apples were introduced. The enzymes were measured in apples tissues in liquid nitrogen after 158 days in normal or modified atmosphere. In Apple the quantitative and qualitative analysis of proteins was realized. Further, some low molecular antioxidants (total phenolics, total flavonoids and vitamin C) as well as total antioxidant status were measured in frozen raw juice. This values were compared with values from apples analyzed immediately after the harvesting. Artificial inoculation with fungi was made in the last part and the fruitfulness was observed.

The use of composite graphite electrode for voltammetric determination of phenylglyoxylic acid
Šenholdová, Z. ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Shanmugam, K. ; Barek, J. ; Žák, J.
A composite electrode prepared from graphite powder and epoxy resin was applied as a working electrode for the determination of phenylglyoxylic acid (one of the metabolites of styrene) in human urine. Cathodic differential pulse stripping voltammetry was used and optimum conditions have been found giving the limit of determination about 5 mg L-1. All results were compared with those obtained using hanging mercury drop electrode. For the confirmation of suggested mechanism of the electrochemical reaction the elimination voltammetry with linear scan was used.

Cycling of mercury and mercury species in the environment

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the role of mercury in an environment. It summarizes informations about properties of mercury and its species. The thesis is engaged in the presence of mercury in atmosphere, water, soil and sediments. It deals with individual mercury intakes into the environment, anthropogenic or natural, and it follows transport of mercury between individual components of environment. Part of this thesis is given to the accumulation of mercury and mercury species into plants and organisms. It points out the toxicity of mercury, mercury species, and their effect to human organism. In the last chapter there is a resume and description of the instrumantal methods, which are commonly used for determination mercury and its compounds.

Psychological problems from leaving a job
Škopková, Andrea ; Pivoňková, Lucie (referee) ; Šnýdrová, Ivana (advisor)
The goal of my work is to show problems which are connected to unemployed individuals and to show reduction options of unemployment effects on a human being. This bachelor work is divided into two parts: involuntary job termination and leaving the job because of the old-age retirement. In the first part, after explanation of job importance for a man and after explanation of the term unemployment, I focused to field of unemployment psychology, where I showed importance of historical researches, gave a list of unemployment effects, described phases of reaction to unemployment, barriers in adaptation and I also describe risk groups, which are predetermined by their specificities to long-term or repeated unemployment. I also studied unemployment influence on mental and physical health of individuals. Unemployment is a stressful event therefore I paid attention to stress causation and stress management models. Then I wrote a list of mental and somatic illnesses and disorders. I also concerned living through unemployment in different age stages and different support and help to unemployed people. At the end of the first part I generalize pieces of knowledge about long term unemployment and I show summary of profit and loss of unemployment. In the second part I describe employees leave because of the old-age...

Substituated Poly(ethylene Glycols) as Drugs Carriers
Pravda, Martin ; Hrabálek, Alexandr (advisor) ; Dittrich, Milan (referee) ; Kalendová, Andrea (referee)
The aim of this dissertation thesis was preparation of drug delivery systems for polyene antimycotics, especially amphtoricin B(AmB). Series of pH-sensitive conjugates of AmB with substituated poly(ethylene glycols) (PEG) have been synthesized and characterized for this purpose. The intermediate PEGs possess a 1,4-disubstituted benzene ring with aldehyde group at the end of the chain. The benzene ring is connected with PEG at its 4-position (with respect to the aldehyde group) by various functional groups (ether, amide, ester). Reaction of terminal aldehyde group of the substituted PEGs with AmB gave conjugates containinga pH-sensitive imine linkage, which can be presumed to exhibit antimycotic effect at sites with lowered pH value. The stability of prepared conjugates under the different physiological conditions was studied. Phosphate buffers (pH = 7,4 or 5,5) were used as model media. Stability of conjugates in human blood plasma and human blood serum was examinated. The imine linkage is split to give free AmB with half-lives of 2-45 min. The rate of acid catalysed hydrolysis depends upon substitution of the benzene ring; however, it does not depend on molecular weights ofthe PEGs used. The conjugates with ester linkage undergo enzymatic splitting in human blood plasma and/or blood serum at pH 7.4...

The current state and prospects for sustainable development of tourism in Slovakia.
Libantová, Silvia ; Indrová, Jarmila (advisor) ; Chaloupka, Radek (referee)
Tourism contributes to the prosperity of destinations by bringing financial resources, new jobs, a higher level of services and infrastructure development. However, if tourism does not develop sustainably, it is accompanied by negative factors, as well. Especially, negative impacts on the environment, such as: water and soil contamination, increased noise and overcrowded destination during the high season. As a response to the worsening state of the environment and possible irreversible changes caused by irresponsible human behavior, the idea of sustainable development is becoming more important. The theoretical part describes tourism in the Slovak Republic and highlights plans for sustainable tourism development. In the practical part, the results of the questionnaire, related to the awareness of sustainable tourism in the Slovak Republic, are evaluated. The main objective of this thesis is to evaluate the current situation in the field of sustainable tourism and to make suggestions for its future development.

Supported Emplayment from the Perspective of Emplayers
MYŠÁKOVÁ, Hana
The philosophy of supported employment in the Czech Republic has been developing for over than twenty years. Nevertheless this service is still neglected and only a few non-profit organizations put it into practice. The service is not legislatively based and also the society does not have a clear opinion on employment of people with disabilities. Current labour market situation is not advantageous at all. Therefore some support of disabled people looking for a job is becoming more necessary and required. The employers are an important part of the whole problems, because their attitude to the idea of supported employment plays a significant role. The bachelor's thesis "Supported Employment from the Perspective of Employers" has pretentions to look into supported employment from the employers' point of view. They are not active initiators of the service, but they are important participants for its successful realization. The theoretical part of the thesis tries to describe the basic problems. It covers the service of supported employment from historical development to its importance. It focuses on special characteristics of disabilities and their social impact on human beings. The closing part is dedicated to working opportunities for people with disabilities in the circumstances of current legislative and economic situation. The practical part is written in the form of a qualitative research. The method of questioning and semi-structured interviews were used for the purposes of the research. Eight people were chosen intentionally for the survey. The data gained from the interviews were analysed with the method of open coding. The main aim of the thesis was to map out empoyers' experience with the service of supported employment. Motivation of employers to put this service into practice was the next part of the research. The question was: "What reasons for realization of supported employment do predominate by employers?" The research showed the most frequent facts, which predestine the integration possibility of disabled people in open labour market fundamentally. After the interviews and answering the questions of the research, it was possible to describe the employers' experience with the supported employment service and also their main incentives for its realization. It was found out that employers' experience with the supported employment service is quite limited. Employers often get to know it through the agency for supported employment, which is not only the initiator of cooperation, but it also plays an important role when a disabled person is being employed. An important point of successful employment is often how the emploeyer is satisfied with the agency. The employment of disabled people often brings certain risks connected with the limits of disabilities. Employers, who enable disabled people to work, are aware of that. The impulse for employment can vary from financial advantages, company philantrophy to personal solidarity of the employer. Social responsibility of the company is becoming a trend, that many employers start to know. But it can be presumed to influence the employment of more people with disabilities and at the same time the looking up the supported employment service by the employers. This bachelor's thesis can be contributive to understanding the importance of employment for disabled people's living. It brings information about the employers' experience with the realization of supported employment and motivation to the realization. It can also help to uncover integration obstacles of people with disabilities in open labour market.
