Public perception of social workers
FISCHEROVÁ, Kateřina
According to Úlehla (1999), the mission of social work is to lead a dialogue between what society wants to achieve within its norms, and what the client wishes. It is then the social worker's qualification to be able to be a mediator between the norms of the society and what the client is convinced of. Helping other people is considered to be a matter of course based above all on good upbringing and a man's feeling of being needed. However, if helping others becomes a mission in life, the person is viewed as a professional, and his or her work is aimed at improving these people's lives. Janebová and Musil (2007) claim that social workers adopt a large number of roles to achieve objectives of social justice and enhancing the quality of human life. Social work should reflect the task of mass media in the present society and should be able to employ them to achieve its objectives and to build the public image of this profession (Sveřepa, 2005). The main objective of the thesis was to find out how social workers are perceived by the public. The first chapter contains the definition of the basic terms of the subject matter. The chapter deals with a description of the social worker and the basic conditions of the social worker's performance, the ethical fundamentals and principles of the helping professions. Attention is also given to professional ethics, to the ethical code of social workers and expressing the basic attitudes of social workers to their clients. Further, it contains a definition of social services according to Act No. 108/2006 Coll. The formulation of desirable competences of social workers is described according to Zastrow and Havrdová (in Matoušek, 2003). The thesis endeavours to show the substance of differentiating between help and control in social work. The second chapter deals with explaining terms necessary in the subject of perception of social workers by the public. The chapter specifies the terms of the public, personality and perception. It includes factors that influence human perception. We describe the image of social work in selected Czech mass media. According to Sveřepa (2005), a significant role in the relationship of social work and mass media is played by the manner in which social work is presented in mass media. Social work and social workers themselves should reflect the role of mass media in the present society and should use them in achieving their objectives. The first two chapters deal with the theory of the subject. A significant support in this part is the relevant expert literature that I drew on. The thesis tries to present a more comprehensive view and a more integral idea of the subject matter in question. In the part dealing with research I set the objective of the research and formulated two hypotheses that were verified in the course of my research. The first hypothesis was: The perception of social workers is influenced by their image created by mass media. The second hypothesis: The perception of social workers is influenced by the degree of respondents' personal experience. Considering the subject chosen the research was realised by the quantitative method. The research was carried out in the town of Třeboň in the period of June and July 2014. Because of the size of the basic set it was not possible to carry out the research in the entire population of the basic set, and for that reason I chose the technique of the quota selection, which is very often employed in public opinion polls. The method used was that of questionnaire survey, with the questionnaire technique. The questionnaire contained 14 questions, and was distributed mainly personally. A total of 368 respondents participated in the survey. The outcome of the research provided answers to the two hypotheses. The first hypothesis: "The perception of social workers is influenced by their image created by mass media", was confirmed. The second hypothesis "The perception of social worker

Communication in organization
Zajíc, Jaroslav ; Štěpánek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Tureckiová, Michaela (advisor)
Communication is one of the most discussed themes of today and its significance is ever growing. Most often, communication is divided in verbal and nonverbal. It depends if the content of the communicated message is put across in words or not. Every person uses his or her communication style in the contact with others which is different in each situation. The art of communication is the ground not only in everyday life but also in employment. Every organization is a place where communication happens intensively. It is directed outward, and of course it takes a place inside. Internal communication is the prerequisite of good outer communication. The most important aim of internal communication is to inform its members about internal processes and to get feedback about the functioning of an organization. Communication in an organization proceeds in different directions (e.g. vertically, horizontally, diagonally) and in different ways (e.g. formally and informally). The whole exchange of information takes place with the help of several communication media. They can be divided into personal and medial, according to the information exchange, either face to face or trough the mass media. Manager communication is essential to the whole organization. It influences the general atmosphere in the establishment. The...

Nguyen Hong, Viet ; Vlčková, Jana (advisor) ; Hasík, Gabriel (referee)
This bachelor thesis investigates the impact of South China Sea dispute on mutual relations between China and Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Thesis lays great emphasis on the analysis of mutual trading relations. The goal of this work is to find out if the dispute over territory has negative influence on mutual relations and to what extent. Therefore, thesis is divided into 3 main chapters. The introductory chapter describes position and development of each country. Second chapter uses findings from the introductory part for the analysis of political and trade relations of both countries. It focuses on the history of mutual relations and mainly it lays emphasis on current mutual relations. Last chapter of the thesis is dedicated to the issues regarding South China Sea. Motives and causes of this dispute are described in this chapter. It provides a view on the course of this territorial dispute, and also impacts on mutual relations are analyzed. The output of all three chapters helps to formulate following conclusion. Dispute over South China Sea has impact on mutual relations. Predominantly, it influences political relations between China and Vietnam, therefore, this dispute is often mentioned in media. However, according to available data this dispute has not had major effect on trading relations. Mutual trading between both countries went off in dispute period without any limitations and barriers.

Dance Therapy as Help in Integration of Peoplewith Cerebral Palsy
Šourková, Barbora ; Ortová, Marie (advisor) ; Olšiaková, Jasmína (referee)
Dance therapy is a form of psychotherapy where move is the main mean of change. A man uses its own body for this change because body is physical aspect of personality. This therapy helps to create positive image of myself. It is a new profession which is still in proces of defining itself. Dancing education and art performance in this therapy is not the aim. In this therapy the esthetic aspect of movement is not concidered. The Greek word therapy has the same meaning as Czech word accompany. Therapist is the one who accompanies client on his way to recovery and self-knowledge. The principial moment of dance therapy is connection of body movement and emotional experience. Connection body-mind is easy and harmonical functioning systém. Discruption continuity of this system can point out psychological and physical stress. Relation between emotion and movement charakterize an individual. That speaks about face expression, posture, space largeness, where the body moves etc. If psychotherapy changes psychical attitude, even the physical standard will change. In dance therapy thisprincipal also works but in revers order. Participant of this change of mans behaviour is his body. The fact that physical comunication becomes less important due to speach development is also surfaced. It is obvious that animals are in...

Multimedia Overview of Synoptic Meteorology
Pokorný, Michal ; Žák, Michal (advisor) ; Bednář, Jan (referee)
This diploma thesis contains an overview of the synoptic meteorology, from the so called Norwegian meteorological school and its interlacing with more modern concepts. It deals with air masses, atmospheric fronts and pressure systems. Further, the overview of latter conceptual models of atmospheric fronts is presented. It shows using of satellite and radar measurements in synoptical praxis, as well. The first chapter introduces formation of air masses and apportionment of air masses. It notices transformation of air masses, too. The second chapter deals with basic clasification of atmospheric fronts. Fronts are shown with help of satelite and radar images. Creation and development of pressure systems follows.

Image processing within determination of topographic surface parameters
Boháč, Martin ; Ohlídal, Miloslav (referee) ; Šťastný, Jiří (advisor)
This work deal with determination topohraphic parameters of a randomly rough surface by the help of method of shearing interferometry. It is a optical method for determination surface roughness. The basic idea is based of on deformation interference strips which are made by interference of the same mutually translated monochrome luminous wavefronts. The wavefront is created after transit or reflection monochrome lights from the surface of a studied sample. The wavefronts creates picture with deformed interference strips , which carries information about character of the surface. This information can be profited by algorithms of image processing from the picture . The thesis was developed in research project MSM 0021630529 Intelligent Systems in Automation.

DICOM protocol analysis and its utilisation in image signal processing
Valouch, Lukáš ; Přinosil, Jiří (referee) ; Šmirg, Ondřej (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis describes DICOM which is a summary of standards for handling, storing and transmitting information in medical imaging. This standard is developed by organizations ACR and NEMA, it is very large file and it contains 18 of documents which are an actual version of this norm. The last norm was got out in 2008. The most important part of this format of date and files is data image processing so called off-line communication. It follows description of implemented application in C, C++ languages by the help of Imebra library. This Imebra library is free in terms of license of GNU GPL. The resultant program is standard of DICOM from, which is described above. This program is concerned with imaging of 16 bits of dept on 8 bits of dept of display devices, for example common computer displays. This application is able to display several layers of DICOM’s pictures. Each of layers contains separated bites which are presented by importance of levels.

Leisure education
Halamová, Jana ; Mužík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Šerák, Michal (advisor)
This thesis attempts to describe the area of Leisure Education. It is based on the works of specialists from different fields (education, sociology, etc.) and supplemented by some views and ideas of the author. Leisure Education makes an important part of Adult Education. People who participate in this kind of education spend their leisure time in a valuable and interesting way. Leisure Education brings along personal satisfaction and the feeling of self-fulfilment that are not always achieved at work. Different interests can also help an individual to endure unfavourable periods (e.g. unemployment, retirement, illness) of life. This thesis is trying to deal with the most important aspects of Leisure Education, especially: the terminology used in this area (including English equivalents); kinds, functions, goals, forms and methods of Leisure Education; present circumstances in the Czech Republic and the area of leisure time. The area of Mass Media is also closely associated with Leisure Education and therefore deserves a special attention.
