This master’s thesis deals about Knowledge management in a small organization, and identification of knowledge resources and needs and the integration of knowledge management principles into the daily work of the organization. The theoretical part explains the basic terms and assumptions of knowledge management and shows a multidisciplinary overlap of knowledge management. The practical part deals with analysis of current situation of organization, especially in terms of utilization of knowledge resources and their evaluation, and design an appropriate system for managing knowledge in the organization.
Knowledge Management in Hi-Tech Companies

Presented dissertation is involved in the knowledge management in high-tech companies in the Czech Republic. The work with knowledge influences all areas in the company. Evaluation of formulated strategy and arrangement of development of conditions, resulting in future sustainability, are essential in the context of business success. The topic aims at organized use of knowledge in the company management activities; the emphasis is put on key factors of knowledge management. The primary objective of said dissertation thesis has been the elaboration of methodology of incorporation of elements of knowledge management into the management activities within the framework of business concept in the Czech high-tech sector. Partial objectives have been determined in closed link. Definition of objectives of the dissertation and individual hypotheses has been based on secondary research. On the basis of primary research, combining both qualitative and quantitative methods, partial conclusions have been outlined. Results of a case study and small group discussion have been applied for questionnaire investigation, supported also by theoretical knowledge. Recommendation, resulting in the proposal of methodology, has been framed after the summarization of partial conclusions of the individual research approaches. Moreover, stress has been placed to a schematic visualization. Finally, presented dissertation at its end presents its contributions in the area of science and research, practice, pedagogy and methodology.

Abstract Henao Pacheco, Fernando. From user stories to organisational learning, a for-mal language to specify requirements. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2023. Failures in software requirements can be the cause of project collapse. Agile soft-ware development should implement the functionalities with user stories to cover the project scope. Usually, these projects are incremental and evolutive. This dynamic and adaptive environment could need formal specifications to clarify the main goal per user story and create test cases. Also, to diminish vague-ness, inconsistency, insufficiency, and duplicity as user stories ambiguity prob-lems. This thesis aims to create a formal language to describe user stories to facil-itate project planning and development, estimation, code reuse, and diagramming. By using the language, the software team should acquire explicit knowledge.

The aim of the diploma thesis is to elaborate a feasibility study of a project, which leads to an effective work with knowledge in a company. The feasibility study is elaborated on the basis of acquired knowledge and information, which is processed in the theoretical part, and it aims to evaluate the feasibility of a project that deals with creating suitable conditions in the chosen company in order to raise its ability to implement knowledge management. The elaborated feasibility study serves as a recommendation for the company.

Information flow management in Municipal Library Ústí nad Orlicí

This bachelor's thesis deals with information flow management in libraries. The thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, there are defined terms related to information and knowledge management, and subsequently there are described particular information flows in libraries. The practical part consists information flow analysis in the Municipal library Usti nad Orlici using the content analysis and semi-structured interview methods. The result of analysis brings evaluation of quality of information flows in the above mentioned library and concrete proposals for its improvement.
