Methodology for real-estate agency portal concept

This dissertation thesis deals with questions connected with creating concept of real-estate agency web portal. Theoretical part including first two main parts of the thesis examines basic definitions and main principles of Internet -- history, services, concepts of Internet, which has to be mentioned to create present metodology based on actual pieces of knowledge. Thesis continues with defining term "web portal" in relationship with real-estate market. Theoretical part is supplemented with practical examples for better understanding. Practical part analyzes real-estate market from the view of utilization of Internet services. Selected web pages are evaluated from different aspects. Main goal of this thesis is to define universal methodology for real-estate agency portal concept.

The Accessibility Standards Adoption Level of the Public Administration Websites - Prague City Districts

The main objective of this diploma thesis is to provide an analysis of the accessibility standards adoption level of Prague city districts websites. The required level is defined in the Ministry of Internal Affairs notice (Accessibility Notice) which reflects the amendment of the law 365/2000 and contains accessibility guidelines which are the result of the project "Přístupnost webových stránek orgánů státní správy" (Accessibility of Public Administration Web Pages). The thesis also reflects similar analysis from the paper "Přístupnost a weby městských částí Prahy" (Accessibility and Web Pages of Prague City Districts) written in 2007. To achieve this goal the thesis firstly describes accessibility keystones (definition of accessibility, disabled users, legislation etc.). Next part of the thesis provides an analysis of above mentioned project and its outcomes, which contain the comparison of Czech accessibility guidelines, WCAG 1.0 and working draft of WCAG 2.0, analysis of disabled users needs, draft of new accessibility guidelines and costs of its application among public administration websites. Third part of the thesis depicts a comparison of the Accessibility Notice guidelines and "Best practice -- Pravidla pro tvorbu přístupného webu" (previous version of Czech accessibility guidelines). Final part presents particular and summary results of the accessibility test of particular Prague city districts websites against selected guidelines of the Accessibility Notice. Test results are also compared with outcomes of above mentioned paper from year 2007.

The work deals with the importance of on page and off page factors, the emphasis is put on the usage of correct HTML tags. All these facts are supported by statistics, technical studies, graphs and work experience.
The Comparison of Websites of Selected Worldwide Cties

The main goal of this thesis is to create a methodology for comparison of web pages of worldwide cities and to apply it on the selected websites. Introductory theoretical part describes the history and the present of web pages and shows their categorization, technologies, key statistics and reasons of rising significance of city websites with emphasis on e-Government. The official web pages of London, New York and Sydney are compared. These are modern world-known cities comparable in population, used languages and the overall attractiveness. Methodology of comparison tries to be objective, universal and reusable. It evaluates the websites with a set of criteria divided into 4 domains: graphical design, usability, accessibility and information content. In the end the final ratings are determined as weighted averages of criteria and domains.
The comparison of web pages of specific institutions from financial sector

The content of this bachelor work is comparison of chosen www sites of financial institutions. I picked up Komerční banka, ČSOB and České spořitelna. Rating proceeds three dimensions. They are: general analysis, technological analysis ant compatibility and accessability test. Chosen sites are rated by established criterions and subsequently mutually compared. Also it's recommended couple improvments of the current status.
Analysis and comparison of web pages selected Czech cities

The aim of this thesis is create methodology for evaluation of Czech cities web pages. The thesis includes aplication of this methodology into Web pages of Domazlice, Tachov and Rokycany. For this purpose I formulated criteria for evaluation of Web pages. In term of these criteria is accentuated informative value, usability, accessability and design of Web pages. Informative value was defined to reply for assessed pages sphere. In next part of this thesis I performed cricital analysis of Web pages of selected cities. On the basis of these results are formulated main drawbacks of Web pages and suggested solution.
The comparation of web pages of specific towns from Czech Republic

The point of interest of this thesis is analysis and comparation of web pages of three towns from Czech Republic. It also includes several notes about using an internet in goverment sector. There are set the criteria of avaluation in the first part of analysis. Each criterion has several points of view and each criterion is evaluated by specific numer of points. Also each criterion has its specific weight in complex evaluation. The final result is based upon summ of above mentioned points. The second part of thesis is the analysis of each town separately and also in comaparation with the others. In conclusion there are suggestions and recomandations for farther development of web pages contained in analysis.
Usability of web pages and applications and its testing and measuring

This bachelor thesis is divided into three standalone parts. First of them serves as an introduction to the topic of web usability. It also mentions web accessibility which may also affect usability, but is not a subject of this thesis. Next part offers an overview of issues web developers could run into when working on their projects. It tries to describe possible problems and proposes suitable solutions. Interesting sections are those related to text writing and web forms creating. It's necessary to work properly with on-line text and its formatting, because it is the most important part of web content. Also forms are important thanks the fact they are used to gather user's input. Due to that there is a necessity to have them easily fillable and error proof. The goal of the third part was to conduct usability testing of real server -- Nepropasni.cz. It's main use is searching for various cultural actions and performances. Two tests were run -- usability testing with real users and heuristic analysis. Results of user usability testing are discussed in final report, which is also attached to this thesis. Last part further describes other methods often used to measure and asses web pages.
