A comparison of different movie adaptations regarding the lives of historically important personas: Betrayer (2020), The Night of the Decision (1993)

This bachelor thesis, entitled Comparison of movie adaptations of the lives of important personalities: Betrayer (2020), The Night of the Decision (1993), elaborates on different methods used in production of movies portraying lives of important historical figures. The theoretical part of this thesis delves into the research of evolution of the movie industry in modern history and the problematics related to historical figures. Furthermore it analyses various cinematic methods of expression and discusses the nature of artistic representation in relation to a historical event. The thesis thus attempts to answer the question of what are the possibilities of working in Czech cinematography related to historical themes. The second part of the thesis focuses on the exploration of the films: Betrayer (2020) and The Night of the Decision (1993), both of which portray an important historical figure and various historical events from the Second World War. The analysis of these movies was done through the most broadly used methods in cinematography such as camera work, post-editing, music, and environmental setting of the movie. Imagery of Czech border in modern cinematography and in television

This master's thesis named Imagery of Czech Border in Modern Cinematography and in Television focuses on the issue of the representation of the Czech border region in Czech cinematography after 1990. The Czech border region is still an interesting area for its historical development, attracting the attention of many historians and artists. The thesis seeks to answer the question of how Czech cinematography works with historically and geographically given realities. The first part of the thesis deals with the issue of the historical development of the Czech border region and introduces the reader to the key events that formed the border in the past. It then explains how these historical events resulted in the present form of the Czech border region. The second part of the thesis focuses on the exploration of five different films made after 1990. Selected Czech films are Až do Města Aš (Made in Ash), Mistři (Champions), Habermannův mlýn (Habermann's Mill), the analysed series are Pustina (Wasteland) and Přísahám a slibuji (Spondeo ac polliceor). I try to capture principal Stanislavkij´s and Diderot´s theories in one capture but mainly I try to reflect upon my own experiences. I compare all my graduation stagings in the Disk theatre and I describe in individual chapters how I worked on particular characters, how I approaches my work, which expressive devices i chose etx.

This thesis deals with the audio visual direction and its specifics in the field of music videos. The theoretical part describes the beginnings of the directorial activity, deals with the work of a director in a creative team and also focuses in detail on the film grammar and particular means of expression. Then the thesis puts the film grammar into the context of music videos. In the practical part are analyzed stages of realization of the U-Prag's music video Seconds of life, including the analysis of used means of expression.
The use of language in modern internet journalism in comparison with print

The thesis The use of language in modern internet journalism in comparison with print focuses on use of language in texts on the Internet and in print media. The texts which were selected for exploration are movie reviews. The theoretical part describes the terms used in the work (film review, internet journalism, etc.). It also tries to clarify the issue of Internet publishing and the differences between online publishing and printed media. It then briefly describes the history of the Internet and its establishment as a counterpart to the printed media. It also deals with the description of the media from which the texts were sourced. The practical part presents the results of the analysis. The work compares the differences in texts published on the Internet and in printed media, as well as the advantages of online publishing - with all the potential of hypertext. The concluding part of the work evaluates whether the researched articles are different and how.

Analysis of the means of expression used in the project of the internet programme

This bachelor thesis aims to summarize means of expression of video and principles of their utilization. Based on that to analyze the means of expression used in a particular work, the internet programme, which was a part of the project Kapustové zelí. Results of the analysis then to support, or to disprove, by replies received from the audience via a questionnaire. Finally, to make recommendations for creation such programmes.
Elements of Commercial Video Expression

This paper deals with the the theoretical description of fundamental elements in cinematography. The document focuses mainly on elements associated with each shot, such as the framing, camera movement, speed of motion or onscreen space as well as on the most basic rules of editing and on the relation of shot to shot. For each group of elements, gives examples of the use of these elements in real commercials videos. The theoretical part is then used to analyze short advertising video.The video is broken down into individual shots, and they are then analyzed by different groups of elements. After this analysis the work brings the synthesis of analyzed data from shots and then, conclusions are drawn about the quality and quantity of basic elements in the analyzed commercial video. The last part of the paper deals with concept of promotional videos for a wedding agency and the entire document concludes in storyboard for pre-wedding spot.
