Educational counseling at elementary school with regard to pupils with special educational needs

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to map guidance counseling at the primary school in Hluboká nad Vltavou with regards to pupils with special educational needs and educational problems. The theoretical part contains the history of guidance counseling, the concept of guidance counseling, legal framework and legislation, school counseling services and description of pupil with special educational needs. The aim of the practical part is to orientate and present the activities of the guidance counselor, also to present the Plan of the guidance counselor at the Elementary School Hluboká nad Vltavou. To focus attention on the Strategy for the Prevention of School Failure and to find out with what spectrum of pupils with special educational needs they work, these goals were achieved with the help of research questions.

Career counseling as a part of a general system of coanseling at High schools

Thesis Career Counseling, as a part of a general system of counseling at high schools, deals with diverse approaches towards professional preparation at high schools. Any help, with making a right decision of choosing a career or continuing in studies, is undoubtedly an important source for each person at high school and has been occupying this distinctive role in education. This thesis is trying to bring about the changing of the position of Career Counselor's within the school system, in a general system of counseling. The goal of this thesis is to cover the various subjects' conception of counselors at high schools and also trying to entitle their targets in connection with reality. At the end there will be given a description and clarification of three different high schools (each with different cultural and social-economic conditions) and their correspondences towards Career counseling in cooperation with the content analyses of the subjects' conceptions of Career counseling.
Motivation of career counsellors for further professional education

The aim of this thesis is to find out what motivation career counsellors have for further professional education. Based on these findings, recommendations have been formulated to overcome obstacles or barriers to such motivation. The theoretical part presents the importance of adult education, which has an impact on the quality of counselling services offered by schools. This thesis also represents the main strategic documents of the Czech Republic, which are related to career counselling. Thesis defines the position of a career counsellor in school and educational counsellor, the qualification exam according to the National qualifications system, a study of an educational counsellor and a new university study program for career counsellors. It also introduces the possibilities and forms of further education in the field of career counselling. The empirical part is based on qualitative data in the form of controlled interviews with thirteen counsellors at schools located in the Ústí and Labem region. The results of the research survey based on respondents' answers pointed out that school counsellors were motivated to further their education by the directors of schools and that they had their own internal motivation to provide professional services.
Socio-Pathological Phenomena at Secondary Vocational School and Their Possible Solution

This diploma work named Socio-Pathological Phenomena at Secondary Vocational School and Their Possible Solution deals, in its theoretical part, with the basic terminology related with this topic. It also focuses on the risk behaviour among today's young people, and briefly introduces socio-pathological phenomena which occured at the surveyed secondary school in the last two years. It also describes other kinds of contemporary risk behaviour among young generation. At the end of theoretical part, there are introduced some of the current trends in school prevention and solution of socio-pathological phenomena. Period of adolescence is of course closely associated with this topic. It's called critical stage, and all the students pass this period during their secondary school attendance. That's why the chapter devoted to adolescence is elaborated in full details. Gender differences concerning appearance and intensity of socio-pathological phenomena are also mentioned here. Next, there is explained the system of primary prevention in The Czech Republic, the importace of family and school background, the impact of peers on personality development. The system of educational and vocational guidance in primary schools

The objective of this Thesis is a theoretical analysis of the educational counselling system and an analysis of the contemporary educational counselling system at primary school facilities in Usti nad Labem. The theoretical part disserts upon a system of school counselling services and from its structure resulting educational counselling system at primary schools. Theoretical experiences are then transformed into practical analysis of the Usti nad Labem educational counselling system settings which is amended by an investigation in the participiant institutions and an empirical probe, having been made with the usage of survey questionnares, between educational counsellors at primary schools in the city.
