The topic of this bachelor's thesis is gender and aspects of gender in schoo-ling. The work is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the theoretical analysis of the term gender and chapters connected with this term. It introduces the issues of gender, feminism, gender role and gender stereotype. It also deals with gender considering the language and its usage in schools. The first part of this work also mentions curriculum and textbooks, describing proper criteria of a correct textbook. The practical part contains the assessment of the gender rightness of four different textbooks of Czech language for the second grade of the basic schools based on theoretical findings. The goal of this work is to intro-duce the gender issues and explain the importance of gender aspect for schools.

The case study analyses the art education content of selected teachers through the school year in context of actual curriculum. The lesson plans are going to be compared with the actual realizations of students, with respect to the expected (art) competencies of themselves. How do the teachers deal with the curriculum and content in art education? The thesis explores that question per interviews with the teachers, document analyses and gathered reflections. It examines the way of dealing with pedagogical content, its transformation into concrete tasks, teacher's reflection and appreciation of the student works. Inspirational resources of the particular teachers are going to be also covered in this study. The contemporary researches of Art education with emphasis on the pedagogical content are going to be the theoretical basis of processing the case study. Stereotypes in school art work

This dissertation focuses on the subjects and artistic (or creative) tasks, which appear to be more regularly used in art lessons. The author will document examples of those popular methods and will analyse them from a didactic point of view, subject matter, art techniques etc. The research will look into the reasons why teachers select these techniques as well as the rationale behind it. The author will also discuss the resources available to teachers which can provide inspiration for further creative ideas . Further investigation will also document how teachers are using the creative exercises within the art curriculum . Results from research in these areas will form the foundation for the author's own art project and art formation. Approaches of three teachers to the same subject matter

The thesis is focused on comparison of three teachers' approaches to the same subject matter in the area of curriculum, differentiation and high expectations. There are analysed topics in question it the theoretical part. The chapter about curriculum contains information about setting curriculum, where is it set, which role does the teacher play in setting curriculum and how he/she chooses the curriculum. We can find there also information about what types of curriculum and approaches to it do exist. The chapter about high expectations explains the term self-fulfilling prophecy and also the way how it is created and how it can be changed. The topic of the last chapter is differentiation, where there are types of differentiation and way of working with pupil according to their needs. There are concisely described two groups of pupils, pupils with special needs and gifted pupils. The approaches of three teachers are based on recordings and interviews. The results of this study give us information about, how the teachers work with textbook materials and what is their approach to chosen unusual topic. The results also tell us, if the teachers are differentiating and if we can observe different behaviour to various pupils. Student's understanding of politic concepts on secondary school

TITLE: Student's understanding of politic concepts on secondary school ABSTRACT: This dissertation is focused on second grade pupils of elementary school how they understand the selected terms of political science. The aim of the dissertation is to diagnose the preconcepts of the pupils from two classes of the elementary schools with different social- economic conditions. The basics and terms of my work are presented in the first part: Constructivism, Preconcept , Pupil's conception of the curriculum. There is also an analysis of the political science curriculum of educational sphere Man and society RVP ZV. In the second part, there is a presentation of personal qualitative research of pupils' preconcepts, which was realised by method of structured dialog. The thesis is focused on health education and area of sex education in elementary schools. Work gives a picture of the current state of teaching of health education and determines the extent to which schools meet the requirements of health promotion. The theoretical part describes the historical development of health education curriculum in primary schools since the early twentieth century to the present. It deals with areas of sex education, its purpose, subject and content. The practical part deals with the integration of Health Education in schools, through the analysis of educational programs and survey.
The active ecologist's scientist's point of view on the content of ecological curriculum

The main aim of this diploma thesis is to answer the question: What information do the scientists (who are actively researching in various areas of ecology) consider as the most important for the students from different school grades? We gathered answers from 31 scientists. For graduates of elementary school the scientists consider very important and fundamental the areas which deal with introduction to ecology, resources of organism, biomes, aquatic ecosystems, other interactions and flow of energy and matter in ecosystems. For High School graduates, scientists find important the area of resources of organism, biomes and other interactions, flow of energy and matter in ecosystems. For students who passed the High School leaving exams in biology the areas they consider as most important ecological factors, introduction to ecology, resources of organisms and other interactions.
The beginnings of education in Netolice

The diploma work describes the development of education in the town of Netolice. In the first chapter we find short history of this town and his present. In the next theoretical chapter this work generally deals with genesis and development of education in the town of Netolice, up to the year of 1945. In this part the work especially draws from archival materials, especially from chronicles and records, therefory are mentioned not only names of schools in Netolice, but names of teachers, pupils and school and sociallife in the specific time, too.
Manual of swimming lessons for teachers and parents at the first stage of primary school

The subject of the thesis ?The Handbook of swimming lessons for teachers and parents of children at primary school I? is a ?manual? swimming lessons in the context of its inclusion in the compulsory physical education at the First Primary School. This should serve teachers who participate in swimming lessons with their pupils, to the knowledge and understanding of the activities, their meaning and significance to the healthy development of children within the framework of teaching swimming.
Student´s learning styles

The main topics of this thesis are students? learning styles. The text is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The former deals with the students? learning styles in a theoretical way. Basic idea is mapping of the fundamental concepts of pedagogical educational process and the definition outline of the main concept of a learning style. The text deals with the possibilities of influencing a learning style from the student?s part, as well as from the teacher?s or other external ones. There are defined and described the types of learning styles, its diagnostics, potentials of influence and possible changes in the former part of this thesis. The latter, practical-based, part focuses at comparison of learning styles of secondary vocational schools (finished by the leaving exam) students and grammar schools students. In the process of qualitative research there are two aims set and two hypotheses pertaining to each of these aims. The first aim is to find out which learning style students prefer regarding the school type they attend. There are two hypotheses pertaining to this aim. The first one presumes that secondary vocational school students prefer the strategic style, whereas the second hypothesis presumes that grammar schools students prefer the in-depth learning style. The second aim is to discover what intelligence skills students use regarding the school type. Again, there are two hypotheses pertaining to this aim. The first one presumes that secondary vocational school students tend to use the interpersonal intelligence skills in the learning process, whereas the second hypothesis presumes that grammar school students prefer to use the logical and mathematic skills in the learning process. The information detected by the questionnaire research is graphically demonstrated in diagrams with comments. The findings about confirmation or disproval of the hypotheses are summarized in the discussion and conclusion parts.
