Analysis of chosen civics textbooks from the perspective of gender

This thesis is focused on the analysis of three chosen civics textbooks for the 6th grade of primary school from the perspective of gender. The aim was to find out, using qualitative and quantitative content analysis, whether or not women and men are depicted in gender stereotyped roles and in what numbers they are represented. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is dedicated to explaining the concepts of sex and gender, gender socialisation, gender in the school environment and gender in language. The practical part is dedicated to the analysis of the textbooks. As a result of the analysis, it is found that in all textbooks women are significantly outnumbered by men. Lexical Minimum Presented in Russian Language Textbooks for Level B1

The diploma thesis aims to analyse the lexical minima presented in B1 level (CEFR) Russian language textbooks. The goals of this work are to compile the vocabulary offered in different high school Russian language textbooks, to assess it and to compare the analysed word stocks of said textbooks. The theoretical part specifies the term 'lexical minimum' and focuses on the approach to the learning process. Here, specific curricular documents and relevant Russian language textbooks are introduced. The practical part contains a systematic list of vocabulary that is on offer in high school Russian language textbooks and a follow-up analysis of their word stocks.
Perception of Diacritical Characteristics by Students of Lower Secondary Education

The thesis focuses on visual media in science textbooks and specifically on the diacritical characteristics of animals. The theoretical part concentrates on the textbook, its function and nonverbal media. The thesis elaborate more closely on the form and function in education of illustration and photography. It also discusses the creation of biological illustrations and the work of the illustrator of the groups of animals used in the questionnaire survey. In the practical part, quantitative research through a questionnaire survey determines how students of lower secondary education perceive the diacritical characteristics of selected animals depicted through illustrations and photographs in natural textbooks.
Obilniny ve výuce geografie zemědělství

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create teaching texts for teaching the geography of cereals, namely for teaching at universities, upper-secondary schools and elementary schools. First, the individual cereals grown in the world are presented in detail - their botanical and morphological characteristics, their origin, development and breeding, followed by a description of the use of cereal products, the characteristics of natural conditions and agro-techniques of cereals and the geographical distribution of cereals in the world. Part of the bachelor's thesis is also an analysis of university, upper-secondary and elementary school textbooks containing the subject of the geography of agriculture, which are subsequently used in the creation of teaching texts. Tables, maps and extensive literature are part of the bachelor thesis.
Mathematics textbooks for secondary schools from the point of view of beginning teachers.

This master thesis deals with mathematics textbooks designed for the lower-secondary school. The aim of the work was to find out which mathematics textbooks are the mostly used by teachers in elementary schools in České Budějovice, how and to what extent teachers use textbooks and how do they evaluate them. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines the concept of a textbook, its function, structure, the issue of selection of a textbook and the results of research related to how teachers use textbooks. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey carried out between teachers of mathematics at the lower-secondary school in Ceske Budejovice. At first, work procedure and the research method are described and then the results of the research are provided. Based on research, the most used textbooks for the sixth grade of elementary school are compared between themselves from the perspective of a novice teacher. The conclusion of the practical part of my diploma project is devoted to comparing the topic of axial symmetry in the selected textbooks that were chosen by the teachers in the questionnaire included in this thesis.

Cílem semestrální práce “Elektrotechnika – komentovaný překlad” je překlad českého odborného textu do angličtiny, který slouží jako studijní materiál pro studenty elektrotechnologie, a provést komparativní analýzu originálu a přeloženého textu. Zdrojový text je rozdělen do devíti kapitol, z kterých bylo vybráno několik výňatků na nichž byla následně provedena analýza z lingvistického hlediska. Každý z nich se zabývá jinou oblastí elektrotechniky a použivá k tomu odlišnou škálu odborných výrazů. Tato bakalářská práce take nabízí základní teorii zabývající se překladem textů psaných ve stylu vědy a techniky.
Measurement in Electrical Engineering – Digital Learning Materials

Cílem bakalářské práce je poskytnout podklady pro tvorbu digitálních učebních materiálů pro předmět „Měření v elektrotechnice“. Práce je zaměřena na samotný koncept digitálních učebních materiálů a na metodologii tvorby digitálních učebních materiálů. Dále se práce zabývá studijními požadavky samotného předmětu („Měření v elektrotechnice“), nezbytnými teoretickými východisky pro tvorbu didaktických textů a také požadavky na návrh. Navíc práce obsahuje dva návrhy digitálního učebního materiálu, prezentaci a pracovní list.

Bachelor's thesis on the theme self learning system deal with problems self learning both in term of theoretic and practical. It explains principles of the human teaching and its efficient exploitation with the view to achievement better results with less exertion studying. Substantial part of bachelor's thesis is algorithm design respecting theoretic piece of knowledge and suitable for computer program fuelling self learning and practical implementation of web application containing articles, textbooks, chaps and cards from which student is able to set a test. Principle of application is based on self classification of student. Questions in test are iterative according to time and self classification. Application can help for quicker and superior mastered to learning.
