Television station of the city Most - Phenomenon Dakr
Schőn, Daniel ; Lokšík, Martin (advisor) ; Lovaš, Karol (referee)
This bachelor's thesis is divided into three parts. The most extensive of them is a practical bachelor's project, which is an author's video documentary. Through interviews with former workers, it presents the history of the regional television station DAKR, which has been operating in the city Most for almost thirty years. At the same time, the documentary highlights the role this station played in finding and educating not only television talents who are still active today in television or in similar fields. The bachelor's thesis also contains a theoretical part that forms the informational framework for the presented television documentary. It presents the development of DAKR from its inception to the present, and at the same time, this development is placed in the context of other regional television stations. The last part of this work is the methodological part, which summarizes the production of the television documentary and includes the script.
Nothing tastes as good as hunger (television documentary about anorexia)
Slavíková, Kristýna ; Macková, Veronika (advisor) ; Lokšík, Martin (referee)
Eating disorders (abbreviated as ED) are complex mental illnesses that manifest not only on the level of the mind, but also have a profound effect on the physical health of patients. Individuals who suffer from one of the types of ED often face a significantly reduced quality of life, as well as misunderstandings and unfounded prejudices from the general public. Arguably the most well-known variant of the disease is anorexia nervosa, which is also one of the psychiatric diagnoses with the highest mortality rate. Although the incidence of the disease has increased in recent years, for example as a result of social media and the COVID-19 pandemic, audiovisual coverage of the topic has lagged behind, as there are few recent films dealing with the disease. The television documentary, Nothing Tastes as Good as Hunger, therefore seeks to bring the audience closer to living with anorexia through the authentic story of 19-year-old Tereza Putišová, giving viewers an uncensored insight into the mind of a girl who has her own rich experience of the disease.
Hairdresser during the day, performer Naira Delairo during the night (Television documentary about the drag quee's life)
Pančochářová, Natálie ; Macková, Veronika (advisor) ; Géla, František (referee)
Drag show, a marginalized genre of popular culture, is an entertainment or cultural performance in which men, in imaginative costumes and distinctive makeup, portray well-known female personalities. The performances are an experience based on a synthesis of acting, dancing, and singing. Although over the last 20 years drag show has become a legitimate segment of the cultural sector in the Czech Republic, there is only a small amount of professional literature and audiovisual processing related to this type of entertainment. A television documentary about the life of drag show called 'Hairdresser during the day, performer Naira Delairo during the night' introduces Nikolas Novák not only as a drag artist but also as a man with a homosexual orientation, who moved from a small village in South Moravia to the capital because of his hobby. In addition to performing, Nikolas makes a living as a hairdresser, but his penchant for drag extends more to his personal life than it may seem at first glance.

Rokyta, Václav ; Záruba, Robert (advisor) ; Trunečka, Ondřej (referee)
From the begining of television broadcasting in the Czechoslovakia the sports documentary belonged to the group of TV genres, which are regularly situated on the television. Most of the czech and czechoslovak sports documentaries also got an important award at home and abroad. This thesis is looking for what place a sports documentary has in the Czech Television broadcasting at the beginning of the 21st century, an era that increasingly belongs to the Internet and shared content rather than television. The thesis also seeks to answer the question of what types of sports documentaries are currently being filmed, and whether a sports documentary is the privilege of a public television or private television or even internet stations and platforms. The thesis also includes a list of sports documentaries that were broadcasted by the Czech Television between 2000 and 2018.

Tichá, Jolana ; Štoll, Martin (advisor) ; Křemen, Pavel (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the origins of private business in the production of TV documentary movies, as an example of FEBIO and its first TV documentary series The EYE - A Look at the Present. The bachelor thesis, using the information gained from a personal interview with a close colleague of the company founder, brings to light the circumstances in which private production film and television companies were established in Czech Republic. In this context, the thesis describes the emerging cooperation between the public broadcasting and the commercial sector. It analyses the first series of The EYE - A Look at the Present, which was broadcast by the Czech Television during the period 1992-1996. The analysis focuses on ten movies and examines them regards to the relationship between the subject and the director of the movie, the persons performing in the movie, the structure of the document and the identification of the so-called key situation that most characterizes the author's approach to the subject.
Publicistic style elements in czech television'documentary series "13th chamber"
Štefánková, Aneta ; Štoll, Martin (advisor) ; Novotný, David Jan (referee) ; Šoltys, Otakar (referee)
The aim of my thesis is to define the publicistic style elements of characteristics within Czech television's documentary series "13th Chamber". The analysis section is based on episodes that were broadcasted within the first five years of the series between 2006- 2011. I found that the program has more features of a television journalism program than a television documentary in which the creators claimed. The project is a typical example of the terminological genre confusion of Czech television. In the theoretical section of my thesis, the concepts of television journalism, television documentary, television format and the differences of cycle and television series are discussed in detail. In context with the theme, I have designed a program structure in which the principle production, choice of topics, individuals parts and authors who participated in the preparation and shooting are involved. The program structure includes a practical component with specific parts in which I discuss the pre-defined publicistic elements. These elements are mandatory especially given structure, the presence of journalists, expert talks, the use of comments and interviews. The aim is to look at the agenda in terms of audience, the degree of fun and bulvarity within the program structure. In terms of resources, I...
