Ice Hockey Player's Association Strategic Plan Project

Thesis name: Ice Hockey Players' Association strategic plan project Thesis aims: The main aim is to describe both external and internal environmental forces of Ice Hockey Players' Association and to design a complex strategic plan project for a specific time period 1.8.2012 - 31.7.2015. Methods: Supportive analytical methods SWOT and STEP were used as a descriptive analysis for identifying the initial situation of the organisation. Within the bounds of the descriptive analysis, focus group, and interview were used. Results: The outcome of this thesis is a complex project of Ice Hockey Players' Association strategic plan based on results of used analyses. The relationship between physical and strategic plan - case study of Třeboň, Jindřichův Hradec and Dačice

The bachelor thesis focuses on the relationship between physical planning and strategic planning. In the theoretical part, the thesis deals with the development of the municipality and the tools which can be used to achieve it. The thesis identifies physical and strategic plan as the two most important tools of local development. The both documents are briefly characterized, also their aims and differences are discussed. Theoretical models of mutual relations between documents are introduced separately. In the practical part, the bachelor thesis deals with evaluation of the relationship of the physical and strategic plan in three selected towns - Třeboň, Jindřichův Hradec and Dačice. The evaluation is realized by analysing and comparing documents according to determined criteria, which verify the rate of cooperation and general connection of documents. The thesis deals with the priorities determined in both documents, the connection of general content, the process of creation and approval of documents, the time sequence of both documents and the realization of the concrete intentions. The result of the thesis is confirmation of the interconnections of the documents and the determined hypotheses. Title: Strategic development plan of the University golf club UK Praha Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to draw up a strategic plan for the development for University golf club UK Praha Methods: A qualitative interview with the sports manager of ČGF, and head of golf at FTVS UK, an analysis of documents and the SWOT analysis. Results: An analytic part of the diploma thesis was built on the documents analysis and interviews with the representatives of the ČGF and Charles University. The diploma thesis deals with the topic of contemporary countryside. The result of the thesis - illustrative Manual originated from searching for the basic principles in the area of land-use planning. It focuses especially on urban issues and tries to answer some of them in a comprehensible form. Manual consists mostly of schematics, sketches, visualizations, etc. The issue of new construction and the so-called satellites become one of the key issues. The Manual offers an alternative for this land-grabbing style and it motivates to create a better environment. The basic principles are applied to a specific municipality. Consultation with nine village mayors could be considered as the added value of the work. Mayors shared their experience in building and planning and gave feedback on some chapters. Interesting mayor's remarks are are incorporated in the Manual. The appendix to the manual – Good Practice Examples brings inspiration for creation of regional architecture. The intention is to offer this Manual to all of those who are involved in the management of smaller municipalities.
Strategic human resources management in a selected organization

This diploma thesis investigates the topic of strategic management of human resources in the selected healthcare organization. The aim of thesis is to define short-term and long-term strategic goals of human resources management connected to the basic mission and vision of the department in the healthcare organization. The development of appropriate strategic objectives will be based on the analysis of the internal environment and also will include the results of analysis of external environment. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis involves chapters about human resources as part of strategic management, its history and possible views on that. Other chapters define the human resources management in healthcare, what are the prerequisites for successful management and strategy development. This is also related to personnel management tasks. Afterwards, the specific relevant focus is on ensuring human resources from the point of view of the organization - human resources planning, recruitment and selection of employees, the subsequent adaptation process and staff evaluation. This diploma thesis researches which activities state cities in their strategic or action plans. In the thesis is tested if these activities correspond with questions solved in analytical parts, especially SWOT analyzes. Selected cities are: Hodonín, Krnov, Nový Jičín, Sokolov, Havlíčkův Brod, Klatovy, Jindřichův Hradec, Žďár nad Sázavou, Brandýs nad Labem - Stará Boleslav, Otrokovice, Bílina, Rakovník, Dvůr Králové nad Labem, Česká Třebová and Varnsdorf. The main method used in this diploma thesis is the in-depth analysis of strategic and action plans. On the basis this method was found that the activities mostly correspond to the analytical part. But preferentially are realised projects, for which can be used funding from grants, some cities state it directly in their strategic documents. The researching cities focus on the transport, the public administration and the communication with the public and the recreation and the tourism. By contrast, neglected areas are health services, the environment and the culture. Relations between forms of processing and a rate of realization of strategic plans

Nowadays, there is quite a lot of attention dedicated to strategic planning in Czechia. This process is ended by a document which should indicate the direction of the area's development. A strategic plan is the document of a territorial development which is processed by municipalities and regions. To be able to fulfill the purpose of the strategic plan, it is necessary to use the document - which means to put projects approved in the document into practice. The strategic plan is processed in two basic ways - community method of processing and expert method of processing. The main purpose of this writing is to identify if one of these methods leads to a better success rate of the document. The success rate is indicated by the bigger amount of implemented projects or activities and also by a positive change in defined area which could not be possible to achieve with no strategic plan. The principal hypothesis is that community method of processing leads to the better success rate of the document. This hypothesis is based on concepts of social and human capital as well as on social networks which underline cooperation and the ability of consensus. The main goal of this thesis is to create business plan and to evaluate the project. The theoretical part contains basic definitions of entrepreneurship and business plan. The practical part consists of project description, market analysis, strategic and financial plan.
